The meat shoyld be cut into big pieces(2 pieces of meat for each person) . Cover it well with foil(try sealing it) and in 3 to 4 hours it will be tender and delicous!! You should definetely try it😅

Grow lots of sunflowers on the sacrifice area. They naturally aerate and till the hard soil so it’s a bit softer next season. I did that to an area with lots of hard soil and rocks. Helped a lot

I love that Justin can laugh when the kids are funny or when Jonah is conspiring for a dessert he can't have. At least he remembers what it was like to be a kid. Sometimes it's hard when you're stressed- reminds me to slow down & enjoy life more. Garden in the greenhouse is looking good. Arun is such a treasure! Baby Henry is sooooo cute!!! Rebecca looks amazing after recently having a baby. Honey sweetened icecream- wow- that sounds great!!! Dinner looked delicious & all that abundance of meat for the week! You're irises are lovely- ours bloomed about a month ago, & I miss them. I also love seeing the grandparents so much- what a blessing to have them close & involved. T/y for sharing. Glad your heel is feeling better, Justin. Hope you take it easy while you're body is trying to heal. Blessings, Y'all! I love my Premiere Membership- what a wonderful resource!

hey Justin, do you know tomatehooks? you tie a rope to the bottom of a tomato, twine it around the plant and attach the hook above the tomate to a metal wire or something like that. its very easy and handy and looks also very nice. it comes with another advantage: if the tomato plant grows too high, just unwind a bit from the extra rope from the tomatohook and attach the hook again to the metal wire, but slighty shifted from the prior spot. in this way your tomate grows longer but not higher, because you compensate the height growth by diagonalising it. i hope this idea works for you :) greetings from germany, Phil

Omnivores and carnivores! Whatta beautiful feast! Check in with Jess & Miah with Roots and Refuge, if you want to reference cattle/pig panels and tomatoes. They put the panels about 20 inches up, supported by t-posts. It seems to work really nicely!

Kettlebell Training is so great! Good to see you trying it out. I love it because I found that it worked great for me, since I can do 2-3 quick 15-20 minute workouts per day, 5 days a week, it is quite fun and feels great. I think the farm work and Kettlebell training will compliment each other nicely....
According to Mark Wildman (he has an absolutely great UA-cam channel!) you can basically train every movement that humans naturally need to do with 6 basic kettlebell exercises and when I started feeling which muscles and what parts of my body have been strengthened by Kettlebell training, I am absolutely convinced that he's right.

I'm certified in Pilates and group exercise. I trained and taught from 1978 until 2017!! I had five children at home and nursed all five until they were old enough to talk!!! I put a spigot with a hose attachment on my polar plunge stock tank. I attach a hose when I am finished and water my fruit trees with the water. I move the hose each day down the line of trees. It always bothered me to just let the water run onto the ground.

Have you tried making baked broccoli? You drizzle some sort of liquid fat over your broccoli and add finely chopped garlic and some salt and pepper then put it on a baking sheet in your oven until the edges crisp up a bit and it gets a little softer. It tastes totally different then boiled or steamed brocolli

Its the oddest thing but notmal for me. We hate peppers and plant just for my salsa. I just throw them wherever and pretty much ignor them. Of course they they always look better then anything else and produce better! Love greenbeans and fight them every step every 2 years to get a 100 quarts put up. It's like every other seed germinated! Too many cold snaps here.

I’m having the same problem with my cucurbits in my new garden expansion. All my plants are furiously flowering and so small. Not spreading out like they usually do. Then in NY this weekend we got crazy amounts of rain. I may just direct sow some more. This is so frustrating. Using new soil this year has been challenging. It’s def not an herbacide compost situation bc I can germinate beans cleanly in it. But it’s holding a lot of water and moisture after the rain

No surprise those sprouts are yellow being that the woodchips are still being broken down. For now, they're taking nitrogen to breakdown, not providing it. I'd give those seedlings some nitrogen rich fertilizer or compost tea and observe. Next year will be 100% different no doubt.

Why would you not eat the sheep harvest? There is no reason you couldn't make ground mutton with it. It's not like chicken! You can even still make roast leg of lamb. You just need to cook it low and slow for several hours, then up the heat to brown it at the end. Mutton stew cooked in a pressure cooker is DELICIOUS!! That is like saying you can't eat this 10 point buck because 'he's too old'.
