This. This is what I needed. Thank you so much. This is the first video I’ve watched that actually goes into details regarding microbiology with examples instead of just a general “how I study.” This is going to help a lot this semester 😌
As per your usual advice "to understand the general principles of the subject first" your video swiftly hit on the core of the subject too. On point and very well said, thank you!
Hi, I am a 3rd year med student in Belgium and I just wanted to say thank you ! For your tips and for sharing your classification schemes!! It really helps and I find myself enjoying microbiology lately :)
I love microbiology. As a medical doctor and a PhD candidate in pathobiology specializing clinical microbiology and infectious disease at the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine, I find this field truly amazing, offering diverse career paths."
Hi there! I'm currently a student in my third year, deeply fascinated by microbiology and infectious diseases. I'm really inspired by your career path and would love to know how you got started in clinical microbiology. Could you share any advice or key experiences that helped shape your journey at Johns Hopkins? Thank you!😊
Hi, I'am a medecine student in France, I realy like your videos, I find them realy useful. I have an issue, it takes me a lot of time to cover topics in consequence, at midterme, I find myself overwhelmed and I start craming for my exams whithout realy understanding my lessons. Have you got any tip to improve learning speed ? I apologize If I have made any mistake, my english is not fluent haha
Understanding is absolutely essential to build a memorization base, but eventually you have to cram Before reading any topic just scan first Aid so you know exactly what you should be spending time on to understand According to me Crush Step 1,Costanzo physiology or Oxford handbooks have been my favourites during med school years since they are excellent at familiarising subjects
First of all, you’re so handsome. You’re like an eye popping singer singing a beautiful song thru melody of science. Anyways, I agree when you compared the characters we know of in entertainment media and how we can take that approach toward the same in viruses, bacteria, general terms to memorize-so on. It shocked me as it affirm my thought a few days ago comparing memorizing all these terms as of like Pokemon , even tho I don’t really watch Pokemon but it made sense in what I was conveying to self. You gave such a good elaboration, it was so insightful and hits a lot of close points.
Too late.. :( , but taking infectology course even though not knowing how the hell I passed microbiology can give me more ideas and a better midnset for studying it well.Thank you.
just by seeing the thumbnail I ve decided to start my micro using the methods your are going to tell... Thanks for everything 💓.... Hope this will help me alot
Crush Step 1 is amazing!!!! Found it b/c of you:) The author has used some of the best image diagrams in any book I have ever read Any idea about Oxford handbook infectious disease?
Heyy Santiago.....it would be really great of you could actually list the books you used for all subjects or like make a video about it.... Thanks a lot :))
Is it wise to use inter leaving after you have built a foundation of the classification of the microbes, you know, like the video you made on learning Arv's and antimicrobials together so maybe trying to learn bits of every organism?
