All things considered he played very well and did an amazing job considering Shaolin hard counters Highlander so much
how does shaolin counter highlander? he doesnt even have a neutral bash
Shaolin dash attack is the only or one of the only dash attack to be immuned to the kick-grab combo, just by dashing you dodge both of them wether he only kicks or decides to fake into grab.
@@sussyratplayermuchamong3659 shaolin is only a hard counter to HL if you really know how to play Shaolin and know when to use specific moves when HL goes for his mixups

@@whitelinez378 in 1v1 for the most part. With the removal of OS it has made the fights a lot faster tho. I felt like their were definitely more mind games last season, are they gonna OS? Should I feint and look for the parry? Should I OS or normal heavy? Are they looking to bait out my OS?
Those were constant mind games that were happening mid mixup. Unfortunately most characters can destroy you with one single mixup especially after the stamina changes in the ccu.
While more offense is good for any fighting game, higher level tech is necessary for above average players to separate themselves from the pack. Before the OS removal, majority of the high level players were getting their parries and deflects from countering their opponents OS. At low level play the OS removal has done nothing. That’s why I don’t think it’s good for the game.
The player on defense shouldn’t be the only person making reads. It should be a constant flow between both players making reads whether they are on offense or defense. But that’s obviously just my opinion

I’ve Always Been Confused About What An Option Select Is. what Is It?
I feel like for honor is just about who can attack the fastest now. As a person you bought the game day one. Everyone just tries to attack as fast as they can as opposed to having a strategy.

exactly, started playing pretty much from day one too and this new meta sucks. They want to make offense way stronger but it is leading to spam.

Number 1 ranked isn't necessarily the best with the character just the most wins.
That should be painfully obvious to anyone who actually plays HL lol. I think Muli would have been a better match, if he even plays FH anymore. Too much of the same repetitive movement from Spyda, he's good sure, but he's not the best by far.

@@logan9373 I watched a bunch of his gameplay today since I was curious. He's really good, you'd think he'd at least try to show up and perform since it was a showcase for the #1s.. There's still a fair argument for #1 skill wise, there are a few HLs out there that are absolutely terrifying.

The changes aren't necessarily bad, it's just that the average player would rather light spam instead of actually play the character. Every character has the potential to light spam to victory, but that's just boring to fight against... Especially in duels. Sure we can block and parry the lights, but some spice of mix-ups in duels is very much appreciated.
OS removal was a nice fix to the game the game feels more smooth and less frustrating.
Hound of Tara is a better highlander... Change my mind

I cant tell if spy is good or bad, like he makes good reads witv the hyper armour but he keeps throwing the attacks in the same fashion 95 percent of the time, he does great in offensive stance and rarely uses the second lihht in highlanders chain to access his stance.

Terrible. So hard to watch. HL goes from cracked, to playing with one hand randomly throughout the video. Shaolin is literally doing the same baits and mixups the whole time, granted, they were working. These aren’t top players. These are people who play these certain heroes a lot.

Used to use score. Now I do either wins or kills If you’re talking about using highest KD I can’t do that. Because on the leaderboards for kd it shows people with like 15 games played with 15 wins with that hero, making that player have a. 15.00 kd

@@lordprometheus9263 almost every light attack in the game is standardized to 500 MS with a 400 MS indicator. Tiandi and Nuxia, for instance, are exceptions to that with 400 ms lights with a 300 MS indicator
