I'm a huge fan of Khamzat. I really hope his career is handled well by the UFC - he's a beast and should have had a new fight booked already. I know he's likely going to be at 185 but would be sick to see him making 170.

@@felicks0 khamzat has 3x pre ufc where he missed weight and they ended up doing a catchweight bout. He also missed vs “leech” and tried to cheat by holding the towel, he then had an hour to lose the weight and came back and made weight. He then missed weight vs Diaz by 7.5 lbs.. I like khamzat but his weight is a REAL concern. It’s extremely rare for ufc and/or commission doctors to come in and “stop the weight cut” like he claimed vs Diaz. They literally only do that if you’re literally about to die . The only other time I’ve actually ever heard of it happening was when Max Holloway was slotted to fight Khabib..
Colby is at that point where he contradicts himself so much, he should call himself a liar. Jones said it best: "Colby's a habitual liar".

It is confirmed that leon edwards and khamzat accepted to fight eachother 3 times, no doubt they would have tried Colby aswell because he's a bigger name and theres 0 word of any attempts. Yeah. They popped it on him a matter of weeks before. Later people kept asking what would happen if it were a title fight, but his coach replied that they would never take a title under such short notice. So he really got short shrift. Not the bad guy he was made out to be. I wish the press portrayed that better.

Khamzat is a fighter who speaks with real confidence, he’s a straight up killer. He doesn’t complain, doesn’t boast, and only cares to win with no dumb antics to get a title fight. After Burns, he gained significant experience. He should stop thinking about 170 and the what ifs, just take everyone out at 185.
It only takes a loss or two to shatter all of a fighters confidence. Depends on the fighter so we’ll see about him. If I were him I’d stick to WW, I don’t know if he still has his advantages at MW.
