Tucked away deep in the coffee plantation is this lovely piece of history, standing in hushed silence...its architectural heritage proudly preserved. There is a certain charm about its deep wide verandahs, high ceilings , hand carved rosewood furniture , Managalore tiles with a hint of green, and terracotta floors , wearing the beautiful patina of age. Obviously, it is meant for the people with deep pockets, given the fact that its a luxury stay. But is it open to day visitors , who "like to wander aimlessly , letting the place unfold on its own? " Thank you.
Thank you for your lovely comment! The property is stunning. While it's mainly a luxury stay, it’s worth checking with the management to see if they allow day visitors to explore. Wishing you the best in your adventures!😊
@TripsToLuxury Thank you for your response. I would love to soak in the peace and quiet this retreat has to offer and not be overwhelmed by guests who come mainly to throw their weight around..with their extra loud comments of" having been there and having done that" ...sort of stuff. Ruins my idea of a quiet getaway!
Beautiful Shashank...thankyou for introducing Hallery to us...can't tell you how much joy it gives me , seeing such rundown properties being given a new lease of life...
Good to find a dedicated channel for luxury travel. Given how noisy Bharat is, its important to find quiet places that are up there, for true relaxation. This is a good place to start.
Thank you! That’s exactly why I wanted to share The Hallery through this video. It’s such a peaceful escape. I’m so glad you found this helpful - hope it inspires your next trip!
To book a room, we recommend contacting the property directly through their Instagram handle: @thehallerycoorg. Regarding the distance, the property is approximately 10 km from Madikeri, which is about a 30-minute drive. 😊
Great question! The Hallery Coorg is a brand new heritage property, just 20 minutes away from Old Kent Estates. It's actually a sister property of Old Kent, sharing alot of the same history and charm. We'd love for you to experience it - hope you plan a visit soon! ☺

Very good video
Really appreciate it - thank you! 🙂
What is the best way to book a room in this property? Couldn't find its website hence asking. Also, how far is it from Madikeri?

Thanks for the prompt response but I am not on Instagram.
Is it the same “Old Kent House” property ? Now renovated ?
