I watched 44:23 over and over. This part is just gorgeous, not only musically, but also lyrically because of how he explained that it's about guiding his daughter through life. This entire song just leaves me in awe.
And in a way, I get the impression that Jim is speaking directly to me too. I'm in my early twenties and my prog death band is almost finished our debut EP. I feel that a band like Caligula's Horse has successfully made their mark upon the world, having five full length albums behind them, but the young people like me are being handed the reigns, in a sense, through the message in this song. We are being told to go, to create, to make our impact, and nothing could be more encouraging.

I have to be honest I am absolutely delighted to have the opportunity of hearing you guys talk about Rise Radiant in depth! I am loving these session breakdowns, and would definitely love to see some more! Maybe "Salt" next? :D

Those vocal arrangements are so, so luscious. Would love to hear the full isolated vocal stems all the way through, or an "acoustic" version with some supporting instruments.

I am obsessed with this song, big time. Hands down your best. Have had the last 2.30 minutes on loop. Has that gregorian chant vibe to it that makes it extremely charming.

Dude I would pay $50 to download all of these stems to just listen to the song on my own in different ways again and again. This is a masterpiece, with no exaggeration of the word.

Best prog song in the last decade. Gets me emotional about being a parent EVERY freaking time I hear it. Having it stripped down like this is such a gift! Long live CH and their children!

Found you guys about three months ago. Started with The hands are the hardest which I listened to an embarassing amount of times in a row because it reminded me of when I saw Toto live for some reason. Then I fell deep into all your albums. This is by far my most favorite song of yours. Lovely mix of technique, a lot going on while not exploding your ears and makes you listen more carefully. That and the gorgeous vocals just does it all.

Being able to glimpse at all the different elements like this makes you appreciate the song so much more. Kind of reminds me of when you released those isolated vocal bits from The Tide, The Thief & River's End some years back, and I wish you'd do it again :D
I would definitely love more videos like this (casting my vote for Salt next as well)!

Jim's foray into spoken-word was "ill-fated"!? Whaaaaat? That statement is gonna need some explanation! I'm sure there were more than just the two C-Horse poems, but they, at least, are unbelievable!

I’ve been listening to you guys for 2 years now and I am so glad that I was introduced by a friend of mine. I had already heard dream the dead, and loved it, but I never dug deeper into your guys’ discography until my friend showed me Rust. After that, I kept listening, and now you guys are just my favorite band. The City Has No Empathy, and Dragonfly have to be my favorite songs of all time. You’ve been an inspiration to me, and my reason for learning how to produce music in the first place. I hope you do more of this kind of video in the future, it’s cool hearing all the individual bits and pieces, like the pain of salvation bit. I had thought that they were in your guys sound when I first heard them, but to have my suspicions confirmed was surprising!
