That's actually the story of my grannies life. Cycling from Ballyconnel, down to Derrylin and stocking up on butter and margarine. She would sow pockets on the inside of her dress and fill them till she could carry no more, see the aunties and uncles for a quick chat, then be on her way, cycling past the soldiers and being considered so innocent by them. I'm sure she was satisfied with herself and the divilment she got away with.

I fully agree with this man, it is the only way to make an illegal living and have the best fun. l have been seeking across borders during the dark hours all of my life (103 years) carrying weapons of mass destruction on my back, barrels of diesel and petrol, bags of flour and sugar, boxes of butter and blackcurrant jam, pockets full of chocolates and USA biscuits, cartons of beer and whiskey, large blocks of best dairy ice cream with the jam running through the middle, often driving habits of cattle, sheep, horses and pigs in front of me. All done in the dark hours of night and all on my own. If you ask the young people of today to give a hand they tell you it is far too dangerous and might get caught/ put into jail could be shot, the only thing that shocked the crossing the borders, All of those long years the only thing that shot at as I crossed the border was beams of moonlight and like the great Phil Lynott all I did was dance to my hearts content in the moonlight
Having an Irish Brother in law that have visited many time and he I plus phone calls I can follow Seamus really well .This is very interesting .We will just have to wait and see what happen with brexit .
