6 months? Damn! I can imagine having to walk away from it for a bit just so you can return with fresh eyes later. Glad this thing has finally been completed. You must feel great pride for having accomplished such a difficult model. This kit is meant for the madmen of the hobby.
This is so far above my level. Thank you for sharing the experience with us. Big Love from the UK. You should keep the tag line "eat ass, live fast" had me rolling cos you know who wild us gunpla builder are! 🤣
I really appreciate this review. Good to know im not the only one that had issues with marker softer and setter. Mark setter makes splash 2kclears tacky it sets up but it can leave prints if you touch it too much. i miss your paint reviews and tip videos.
Man, love your work and your ACTUALLY informative reviews! 👍 When I went to build my MG Deathscythe Hell EW and MG Heavyarms Custom EW (Glory of the Losers version), I knew EXACTLY what issues to look out for and expect. Your work inspires and your reviews help a lot, keep up the good work 👍
This is sick! I love seeing your videos on builds like this because my acoustic ass could never put something like this together without pouring laqcuer thinner into my eyeholes.
Man.... it takes me 3-4 months on my current custom builds so this thing would take me a year for sure! Great review, per the usual, and great results my friend!
Finished mine about 2 weeks ago. Didn't really have any issue with the knee joints. For the stand scratching the fuel tank, sanding down the size is such a crucial information , wish I didn't paint my stand at all..., so I ended up chipping the circular part on each size, but since they are not glued, simple to repaint, and very well hidden I'm not so worried about it. Because I painted this with my own color scheme so the most difficult task was to figure which color go to which part and the masking orders. Nearly burned out when I had to apply decals for the fin funnels. That was hellish.
Had some buddy's talk me into getting a gundam. Bought a high grade 00 command qan[t] from target. Loved building it. Used your link to buy a master grade jesta. Can't wait to build him. Love the vids brother, keep em up!
The friggin details on this are Ridiculous, it's almost something you need to see in person to truly appreciate and be able to notice everything. Looks Absolutely Amazing 😄👍
Managed to find the paint kit for providence by pure chance, Immediately bought it. Paints are odd in The Netherlands... would love to find some gaianotes... The kit looks fantastic, unfortunate that it's a brick though...
There are ton, but you have to be careful and do research someone reached out to me about repairing parts from a well known etsy Seller. This group obviously speed builds parts and leaves sanding marks from 320 grit paper on joints and just paints over it. The sells the kit for 700 dollars. Some commission guys just put decals on a plastic kit & clear coats it then asks for a few hundred dollars. It's wild out there & if you don't know what you are looking for you could lose money.
Such magnificent detail. I get so bogged down in the details that I can never finish one. Before I know it I have repainted something a dozen time or more and then I get burnt out. You are a true hobbyist.
Okay a quick question if you're reading this, if you ever made a mistake and painted a figure with darker color (let say dark green) but later realized that a lighter color is better (like pale blue), what do you do? Scrap the already painted green color then paint the new blue one or do you wait for the green to dry completely and then paint the blue one on top of it.
when an air brush more often than not you can get away with a lazy paint over, with hand brush painting you COULD get away with a lazy paint over, but then you'd have some thick layers. if you want it to do it right strip it down. Normal I just paint over if I am hand painting screw it, I have limited time in the day. If it's a project i care about, I strip down and paint again.
Wait, there's a business model built around putting together model kits for other people? i know the work would be tedious, but i could literally do that sort of shit All Day Every Day if i were making enough money to live doing it. Also, does anyone find it kinda surprising that there are people that would pay another person something like $4K to put together their model kit? Part of owning the model is to show how much skill you possess by being able to put it together and have it look amazing, now you can just pay a complete stranger to do it and then let you take credit for it. So ultimately you're paying for the "privilege" to lie about how much skill and patience you possess to everyone you know.🤷♂️ Whatever, if that's what somebody wants to pay for i'm certainly not going to stop it 😄👍
Not for newbie? I'll be glad steeping away from this kit. Took you 6 months? Not gonna spend 6 years on my end to do this lol. Jokes aside, it looks awesome. The amount of details and separations are unreal. Can't imagine the amount of masking it took to achieve this level of separation. Great work bud!
2:00 Agreed. Honestly, fuck Mr. Mark Softer. I haven't found a single paint or topcoat that _doesn't_ get melted by this stuff. Eventually threw it in the trash because i realised Mark setter is good enough for me.
Hey Gundam, do you follow Barbatos Rex on YT? The guy's channel is just testing paints and clears, etc. He has rooms full of kits but I've never seen him put one together. Anyway, he recently sprayed some clears, and has a ton of previous clear tests. You may get some additional ideas for what works over what from his videos.

right? talk about bang for your buck!
I just bought this kit and I'm very much looking forward to the challenge.

Love the amount of details in this. Nice decal work too man.
That details... Man that's quite detailed Hi-Nu
The amount of detailing in your builds is just immaculate. I’ll build a kit one of these days.

The fins are 48 parts and 7 layers of masking of colors was a great build about todo again soon 🔜
Before I forget, this one is for Papa Gundam and the algorithm!
Gundam ive never seen anyone paint a gundam like you paint that gundam gundam
6 months, wow, your awesome for staying together to build this regardless of the problems you went thru
I definitely did not know prior to ordering my resin kit that there were special masking sets premade for them. Informative video!
A suggestion for your tag line: "plastic crack ain't whack." Great video as always!
I have never had mark softer eat through paint but I would be so upset in that moment. Love the channel and the work looks great as always.
Yes a talking review, and not a musical camera panning. Love these vids

Absolutely beautiful work. The Hi-Nu is easily one of the best looking Gundams and your work on this further proves it.
There is something about listening to a professional talking about their field.
Thank you
if I was a pro I'd make far less mistakes lol.
This is an amazing looking kit and I love every detail on your build, awesome job!
Even though it can't be moved much, it's still sexy as hell
Been a while. Nice to see you back
I didn't know what Glundim was before I saw your channel, that's more work than actual jobs 😴 you're dedicated!
That looks TOO good. Absolutely stunning work, dude.
Your 6 months effort turned out absolutely amazing. With all the cons you still managed make this kit stunning. Keep up the kickass vids 👍

what about studio G paint
i hear lots of good things abut that and its widely available
He talked about it in the gunpla snobs podcast
I personally try and stay far away from kits with big backpacks they look cool but I don't have the the talent nor the money to touch those.
Holy shit this almost looks 2d in some shots, i cannot put into words how amazing this looks.
GO FOR SILVEROAKS HI NU NEXT
The only plan for me who doesn't have money for conversion kits, I custom make my own cheap version of the conversion kit with a lot of pla plates
