That's unusual, it's thought that they get spooked after being caught but that greedy pike was a tough bugger and wanted more 😄 Well done on that monster PB. Enjoyable video 👍
It seems the longer we wait to break our PB the more cherished it is.... great to see our lad get into twenty territory... next stop THIRTY !! 😈😂 😎👍☘️🍺
Thanks mate much appreciated 😁👍🎣🎣🎣, I use barbless because it makes it much easier to unhook the fish, just need to keep the line tight and it won't come off mate 😁👍🎣🎣🎣
No way bud. I know this video is 2yrs+ old now but just came across it. Anyway, I just set my pb the end of February this year with guess what.,..... a 20lb 2oz Pike from Kilbirnie loch.
Congratulations on the pb 🥳🥳🥳, hopefully we both get a new pb later this year, 😁👍, tight lines and thanks for the support, it's much appreciated, tight lines mate 😁👍🎣🎣🎣🎣
Many years ago, I was fishing a small lake near me and a pike bit me off... I was really pissed off over it, knowing a fish was swimming around with my trace in its mouth... that night at home, I kept thinkin about it and so I decided to go back down in the morning and see if by some miracle I might hook it again, ... the following day, 3 hours in, I caught her and she was seriously mad at me ! ... I unhooked both traces , weighed her and set her free... 16lbs as far as I can remember, a fine fish !... I was elated at being able to save her from a slow death...though she didn't show much gratitude, trashing about as I got the hooks out, thankfully as I always use barbless, it was easy enough.. Sometimes miracles DO happen... ☺️ 🤗 Happy Xmas and tight lines to all !! 😎👍☘️🍺
That's brilliant you caught the pike the next day 😁👍 well done cracking fish 😁👍, there is a pike in loch awe I have caught 8 times over the last 5 years, I know it's the same fish because it has a golf ball size lump under its right side of its head... First time I caught the pike it was under 2lb and last time I caught the pike it was 14lb 12oz... It's brilliant to see a fish go back and catch it again and see it grow up healthy 😁👍, that's why I always do catch and release 😁, thanks for your comments and continued support it's very much appreciated, tight lines 😁👍🎣🎣🎣🎣
