Wait a second... The cookies predicted Matt would commit a crime in 3 minutes. However, he parked in front of the hydrant before walking into the restaurant, so that means he had already committed the crime prior.
But he "stole" 50 dollars. I dunno, that's a stretch too. However, the way things played out otherwise was genius.
Well, it wasn't actually 3 minutes from the time Matt read his fortune and the waiter informed him.

Did anyone else notice that the first thing Matt does when Jeremy falls over is he picks up the water glass.
So, my family went out for Panda Express (AKA Not a Real Chinese Resturant) and we got fortune cookies. My dad got "You have an accurate and professional mind", my sister got "You have the makings of a leader, not a follower", and I got "You have a fine capacity for the enjoyment of life". My mom got "Saturdays are good for taking care of chores".
I think the writer of the fortunes ran out of ideas at some point.
Matt’s fortune occurs when Jeremy’s will states: “I wish to grant Matthew Meese however much money is in my wallet during my time of death.”

Actually I do have a Fortune Cookie story.
My grandmother wanted to move closer to us a few years ago, but she wanted to surprise my grandfather. One day we went out to eat at a Chinese restaurant. My dad got the fortune "You will soon move to a new house" or something like it (I forgot the actual fortune). Anyway, we decided to it sneak into my grandfathers cookie. He ended up reading his original fortune, and swallowing the one we gave him!
A few weeks before they planned on moving, my grandfather got into a car accident and passed away. Needless to say, he never moved into their new home.
I guess fortune cookies get the last word!
My mom got one that said "A small friend will be joining your family soon." We adopted a dog a month later.
We took my second cousin out to a chinese place for her birthday. Her fortune said, "You will celebrate your birthday surrounded by family and friends."

I once got a fortune at a restaurant that said "This meal shall be your last". I was super creeped out but didn't die or anything so um I guess someone was just having fun making the fortunes, and now me and my friends still laugh about it.
