Hi Sarah, when you get to the heart ‘v’ point, if you make a tiny stitch, literally half a millimetre, below it from behind coming up, then again just on the top fabric, then sew down into the backing fabric you should find it ‘pulls the point down’ into a nice crisp and sharp v. (Courtesy of Patricia Cox lessons on Baltimore Appliqué many years ago at Alston Hall). Sorry, it’s not that easy to explain in words!!! I absolutely love your designs xx
