That building that looks like a castle on the edge of the park you visited is the Kuopio Museum, founded in 1907. One of its main attractions includes, among other things, a restored mammoth.

There is a sign for that at the market square, you can see it at 1:26 behind you. A bit of local humour, as they consider the Kuopio market square to be the center of the universe… :)
I hope you liked Kuopio ^^ and yeah the weather, during my childhood it has been +24 celcius at tops during summers, but lately these scorching +30 degree celcius seasons that last 2-3 weeks came in. Too hot for us finns, even though we think at the same time that sauna which temperature is below 70 celcius is cold, heh.

On behalf of all the pedestrians of Kuopio, I offer my deepest apologies for the idiotic practice of Kuopio allowing cars on pedestrian streets, especially Kauppakatu where you almost got hit by cars. A handful of stubborn old stiffs wants to drive to a free nearby rooftop parking lot and ruin the entire safe and confy walking street for all the rest of us. :-(
