Love these type of videos before a purchase I will rewatch videos especially these types but I’m kinda looking at the ambition torped because the battery it comes with is good and can use it on my cnc q2 and my mast sensor, and the ambition torped comes with the 4mm cam, 4.5, & 5 so I’ll be setup all goood and have a power supply because I’m traveling and idk ok so confused what to bring I kinda wana just get a new machine that is variable stroke but I need a solid liner when it comes down to it
I am glad to hear you like the video’s! It is a bit complicated because it is so dependable on personal prefference. I really loved to line with the ambition torped on a 5.0 mm stroke. But then doing soft shading or packing, you dont want to take the machine apart mid session and change the cam. I did find the fold pro and the fold 3 capable of doing good solid lining on the 4.2 stroke. Even with larger needles like 14rl. It may not line as fast as a machine with a 5 mm stroke. If you are really looking for a liner with a adjustable stroke that does have a 5mm stroke you could check out: ambition torped, EZ p3 turbo or the WOS e50/e60 or e70. Ohh this comparison is what I've been waiting for even though I don't own the Ambition Mars, I have the Inkone Saber 7 adjustable 2.4-4.2mm stroke, another great comparison, I had the Fold Batpen but there were some design flaws which they corrected in the Pro, low decibels and you can hear the needle breaking the skin and hitting the sweet spot(dermis), the Bronc is a great machine too with the Swiss motor, you can feel the oomph, the Mars as you said is what I thought it would be, the Saber is the quitest machine with extra low DB and its my favorite, but as an old school guy I like my strokes changeable like the Torped, bought 2 from the link you shared and customized the gold color, even though the qeurk battery was good,, they replaced it with the Critical like battery, also has the shorty and charging dovk but looks morr well made, I'm half Getman BTW, my late Maternal Grandpa is still my biggest inspiration till date Horst Streckenbach, He was known as Tattoo Samy, so glad I became a pro tattoo artist before he passed away in 2001, he got me into tattooing and He gets to see my tattoos, saw big names in the industry on his wake and funeral, some friends till todayalso opened a shop in Offenbach too, having dual citizenship, US & Germany is a blessing, guess you're not far from Germany from your accent🤘🏻

Its like a boost of voltage when you start the machine. With some cartridges it wont move the needle at a low voltage. The jumpstart will kind of boost the startup and then the voltage will stay at the voltage you set for your machine
Question, what do you do for sterilization on the bolt, do you use an autoclave with it still? Because obviously there are no disposable grips for the bolt
According to the rules of the healthcare in my area i have to cover the pen, use carts with a membrane, and then wipeoff the grip with 80% alcohol before and after use. And i dont need to do sterilization with an autoclave

I think the torped because the max stroke length on the fold is 4.2 (which is great) but if you want more power the torped can do 4.5 or 5.0 mm which is a bit stronger. But it is all personal preference to be honest.
@@Tattoobart147 I think 2 that Torped is better choice I agree... but I'm little sceptical because of the price (it sounds to fck cheap) did you have some trouble with it after all this time you used it???
@LaserDepartment-jv5nb i absolutely had 0 issues with the torped. It is build simple and very basic. Also keep in mind the price is low because it is not wireless. Combined with the quark power its a decent price for a chinese machine
Hi Bart I just re-watched this video again with my apprentice looking into a first tattoo machine for her. Thanks again for another good video I have a question for you that might be a little off-topic, but no one seems to be able to give me an answer, I have as we talked about before, an ambition Torped And I also have an ambition soldier because I love that company. The ambition soldier killed the first cam that came with it, and the second one was broken in the box, but I love the machine so much that I ordered three cams from ambition. When they came, however, they came with a big capital letter R on the cams And I actually don’t know what size they sent me ha ha ha so if you have any information that can help me out as to what size of cam I’m running I would really appreciate it. It seems to run really well for Some solid to medium shading and color packing and it’s running great for line work I’m assuming it’s not an over 4 mm cam but when I messaged ambition, the reply that I got was a little bit confusing, I think that the language barrier got in the way, and they replied with your machine comes stock from the factory with a 3.5 mm cam . Which completely was not the question I asked them. Thanks again for the video man. I think I’m gonna pick the Fold for my apprentice when she’s ready. Cheers :)
Hey jason if you still have the broken cam you can measure it side by side? Or use a measurement tool. Do you work with a piercer? They might have something to measure mm with digitally. I am actually guessing if it lines well and colour well it might be a 4mm stroke. 3.5 (in my oppinion) is best for soft shading and colour, maybe some fine lines. If you double clic on the fold pro power buton before start it you will activate the jumpstart mode ;)

😂Maybe its just mean what it means

Yes it is a good machine to learn. Just dont play around with the strokes to much. Stick to one until you understand it and then try other things

I think so, but i would recomment to use it with the 3.6 stroke to make it a bit easier on yourself

I use the fold pro between 5.8v and 6.5v and my battery last all day👌
Yes when you use a lower voltage it will last longer. I am just sharing my experience with the machine
