- Welcome to St Helena. Come and see the amazing things that locals say and showcase about their home. Travel to St Helena and be welcomed, and discover an island with a diverse culture and people.
Sammy Stevens and his donkey Nelson, works the farms at Horse Ridge one of the more remote farmlands on the tiny Island of St Helena in the South Atlantic Ocean.
We loved making this film - Sammy is such an inspiring man. The secret to life "be content with what you have".
I'd like to meet Sammy someday. Always wanted to visit St Helena.
This was a beautiful film. You captured so much beauty. This was authentic and heart warming.
I am a saint. Love the island. Great place for anyone.
What a great little video. Sammy is a top man. Thanks for sharing
I love #StHelana Island....one day I'm gonna visit there. Much love from #Kenya
Saint Helena 🇸🇭 is definitely on my bucket list of places to visit. During all of the lockdowns I’ve been watching so many videos on this beautiful island. Hopefully one day there will be a direct flight from London! 🤞🏼
Don't believe that they have a landing strip for aeroplanes. I believe the only way there is by boat, leaves the UK once a week, as well as from Cape Town.
@@jayjayn007 That is how it used to be, It changed in 2017, they have a small airport now, there will never be direct flights from London as the airstrip is too short for the big planes, there are flights once a fortnight from Johanna's Burg
@@rileykleinjan6795 yeah, found that out later! Haha.
@@jayjayn007 don't be stupid of course they have an airport.
Great film, always wanted to visit the Saints!
I hope to visit you St Helena islanders from New Zealand sometime in my life.
Looks beautiful. My great great great great great (I think) grand mother Sarah Bateman lived on Horse Ridge with her husband Stephen Stroud Grant. Would love to visit St Helena. Great video thanks for posting.
I've been dreaming about visiting for so long.
It looks like an ideal place to live as well. Quiet, peaceful, picturesque, somewhere you can just get lost in.
Although being a Londoner, I'm not sure how I'd deal with living in a close-knit community. I prefer to be invisible.
Huge love from Hanoi, Vietnam!
