- Sowing My Harvested Sweet William Seeds / Planting Agapanthus In The Border/ Dividing Veronica
Hiya, I was so excited to harvest my own Sweet William Seeds and decided to sow them almost immediately. To my delight they have germinated really quickly. I also dug out and divided some Veronica and Primula, then spread it around the garden. I tried to capture as much as I could. I hope you enjoy it.

looking forward to seeing the fruits of your hard work.
Aw thank you, I hope everything survives ok . 😊
19:03 😂😂 good excuse to buy more lillies
🤣🤣 definitely! 🥰
😂 like a kid in mud making pies. I leaning toward just chuck it in the soil come spring and pray 🙏. But you did a great job 👏 I don’t have a lot of patience for pricking out seedlings. Hope the splitting and transplants do well. Enjoy the sunshine and have a super week, Ali 🌞🥵33c 🇨🇦
Hey, I think you are on to something. Sometimes I think the things that grow best are the ones that just sow themselves. Thank you so much for watching and taking the time to leave a lovely comment 🥰
Also, I hope you are having a great day! It’s quite cold here today. The heating has been on for a couple of hours 🥶
@@aboutthegarden it’s is Sunday at noon and already 28c but we may, kinda, perhaps 🤣🤣 get rain mid August
I really like your new potting bench that you made. I need something like that as my picnic table didn't hold up this year. It's been on its last legs for a couple of years. I've got some Sweet William seedlings growing away that I grew from bought seeds but I may sow some from my own plants that have finished flowering now. I'm hoping my Agapanthus look as good as yours. I got them free with a plant order but all I've got at the moment is leaves and no heads. Those Lilies are stunning. We had a great holiday and I loved my morning at David Austin's rose place. We practically had the place to ourselves. Had a job choosing which roses I wanted to buy as I could've bought them all if I had the money! Came away with four but I've no idea where I'm going to put them as my garden is full to the brim. Typical me, I don't think things through! Looks like you're having some good weather at last.
I am so glad you had a good time at David Austin Roses. How amazing getting 4 but you have to make it worth going 😬. I am sure you will find the perfect spots for them. My Agapanthus didn’t flower last year when I first got them. I only got leaves then too but then this year they’re looking fab so maybe they need a year to develop or something. I’m loving the lilies but there are so many lily beetles, it’s unbelievable. I love my potting bench and even better that it didn’t cost anything. That’s a shame about your picnic bench, I had to get one at the right height as it was killing my back. I hope you are having a great day! Xx
Looking lovely. I love the look of lilies but hate the smell. Also, they are really toxic so because I have the chickens and cat roaming in the garden, I don’t grow them. I don’t have agapanthus in the garden and am looking for different perennials to grow so may well add this to the list. Any other recommendations? Have a great week. Mags.
Thank you, aw that’s a shame that you can’t have lilies although I’d much rather have chickens and cat than lilies. My cats are indoor so I don’t need to worry about. I just can’t have any flowers inside as they want to eat any kind of plant. I’ve been really happy with my Rudbeckia ( I can’t remember if you have one). Mines is just the basic one and it’s came back for 3 years now and I’ve managed to get another few from it. I also am loving brunnera too, it’s seeming quite hardy so far. Thank you so much for taking time from your day to watch me potter. I hope you are having a great day. Actually I meant to ask what area in Scotland you are? (I am Stirling area) 🥰
