Welcome to this flight review of an Austrian Airlines A320 on a flight from Vienna, Austria to Paris, France.
In this video, I experience Austrian Airlines European economy class service for the first time on board the backbone of their fleet, the Airbus A320. Austrian Airlines are a carrier that I have been keen to try for a long time. The question is, how good is Austria's national airline, and are they better than Lufthansa?Stick around for my final thoughts at the end of the review.

It was a great day for flying.
Thanks for this video. I have travelled with Austrian several times and it is most definitely my favourite airline. A couple of years ago I flew London to Vienna and had ordered this hot breakfast well in advance. In spite of the fact that the flight only had 28 passengers, my order came out as the cold breakfast. I have to say that it too was extremely delicious, but I was so disappointed. The crew were superb and promised that the mix up would be investigated. As a result I received a full refund from Do&Co. I have booked another flight to Vienna next year and have already booked the hot breakfast. Better luck this time, I hope!!! But, to answer your question.....I would indeed agree that Austrian most definitely is 'the charming way to fly'.
Mistakes can happen but good service is about how problems are resolved. It sounds like Austrian did a great job for you. Thanks for watching.

Finally had some time to watch this! So glad you enjoyed your AUA flight! They really are charming on short and medium haul flights - I was a bit disappointed though when I took them to Bangkok last year. The seats on the 777 were really, really tight, and I am vertically challenged! Totally get what you mean about VIE. Austrian food is amazing and they put a bloody Jamie Oliver restaurant in there. The mind boggles.
The restaurant was surprising but it did mean that I couldn’t find a turkey twizzler anywhere 😉. I will have to give them a try long haul myself someday.

Fantastic flight review as usual Blake. Flew to Vienna last year May with Eurowings via Düsseldorf returning direct with Laudamotion. Appreciate won’t be flying with Laudamotion for some time as you recently been to Vienna ✈️🇦🇹🙂

I think the same about Vienna airport. When you go inside it looks amazing. But then, once in the concourse F, that it's suposed to be the most important... there's nothing to do.
I haf that brrakfast on my Austrian flight from Brussels to Vienna 1 year ago. As you've said: it's one of the best meals (if not the best one) that had on a plane.

Austrian is high on my list to fly next time I am in Europe, long or short haul, in any cabin. Glad to see you took advantage of the DO & Co a la carte menu, I have heard great things about anything they cater and still haven't been able to take a route they service. Very nice to be able to order basically a business class quality meal on a coach ticket price, since you don't get all that much more in business class in Europe anyway for the additional cost. I could live with tight legroom with a meal like that!
Agreed. Legroom aside it was a great flight and the meal was a huge part of that. The guy next to me looked rather jealous.
Great Video Blake! Other than the meal though I struggle to see great differences between the different LH group airlines other than very slight differences, like the SWISS chocolate, the Eurowings BOB menu and the Austrian Do&Co menu.
They are all obviously similar operating in the same stable. It’s the little things though and for me the crew and the catering on Austrian put them ahead of their fellow LH group airlines.

Did I miss something but they de iced the aircraft? Did I miss the snow at the airport? Looks like a summers day to me! De icing remains a mystery to me!! Great review oh bearded one!!! More please!
Plenty more reviews to come. It doesn't have to be snowing for a plane to need de-icing. It was freezing outside and the de-icing fluid removes any frost or ice from the wings. Safety first!

Well... its the passengers right to recline if available but it really does make life uncomfortable for the person behind. On a long haul overnight route I get it but on a quick trip in the day?
