Searching for Alabama history in local rivers and creeks has become my new favorite hobby! Nothing beats the summer heat like a little river treasure!!! I find something that I didn't want to and decided to put it back where I found it!

Seems pretty new. The fabric would have been really corroded. I'm guessing it's likely folk art. There are ways to tell what type of fabric that is--ie cotton/linen/polyester blend. You can date it by its content. I'd not throw it away but find someone interested in textiles to give it a look.

If it's a voodoo doll, it's the cutest one I've seen 😊 my thought is folk art..holes may be where other things were attached with hot glue like little flowers or trinkets. Maybe even where the doll was attached to a wooden piece for display.

I had a bilateral lung transplant. I took both modernas and will take the booster today.
I have a dear friend who's family refused to take the shot. Keith the father is currently hospitalized and on a ventilator and possibly might not survive. If he does its likely he will never be the same. The daughter was also hospitalized but fared better. Im positive they all wish they had got vaccinations.

Take the vaccine ASAP. My family had Pifzer and I the Moderna . . .no side effects at all. Please do this as we've all lost friends and acquaintances to this stuff . . . all of whom were not vaccinated. Keep the videos coming . . . really enjoy them. Stay safe and healthy.

Got the vaccine when it was available. My first grandson was born during the lockdown, and I didn't want to expose him to anything. Just like I took the pertussis vaccine to protect him and in a broader sense anyone else.
At 66, and relatively good health, my only side effect was feeling fatigued and feverish the night after both shots. Next day no problem. I felt far worse after having the Shingles vaccine!
We have ALL taken various vaccines during our lifetimes. This one shouldn't be different. We are protecting those people we love and others.
Hope you get it, good luck!!
Oh, love watching the video! You walking down the brooks and streams reminds me of Saturdays with my Dad, looking for arrowheads!!

As 1st responders, my daughter and I got the vaccine 8 mo ago, no side effects at all, my daughter who is 30 yr but has diabetes type 1 and seizures also did not have any side effects. That being said I tested pos for covid 3 week ago and only had cold/ sinus type symptoms with fever for 3 days. Doing well now. With my co morbidities I feel that I did not get seriously ill because of the vaccine. SO I WILL ALSO TAKE THE BOOSTER.

I got moderna vaccine. My husband and I are in our 70's and grew up with vaccines. I have large extended family with great grands so feel we are not only protecting ourselves but our family as well. I am retired teacher and know schools are not the cleanest places. Many send kids sick most times. We are having major outbreak in our schools right now. So my thought is to be safe than sorry. But you have to decide what's right for you and your family. I don't feel people need to be forced into it. My husband and I had no problems or side effects and are already signed up for booster in November. But it's personal choice.

Hey Brandon, My whole family has been double vaxxed and we had no significant side effects. This Delta is bad and is affecting children in larger numbers. The virus can go both ways from adults to kids and vice-versa. Hospitals are filling up and the news is sad and often heart breaking because of the sharp increases, especially in your state, etc. I hope you and your wife and other age appropriate family members will take the shot very soon. An ounce of prevention, so to speak. Great videos! Keep up the good work.

Am fully vaccinated (Moderna) and only had a sore arm from the shot for a short time. As far as I am concerned the main reason is I'm an older male with allergies and COVID could take me out. Therefore, I took the vaccinations in the hopes that if I did get it that the symptoms would be less severe. It's up to you, but, the odds are better with the shot.

I got the vaccine as did my wife and never really considered skipping it. Our teenage daughter has also gotten it. None of us had any real serious side effects. It certainly is a personal decision and the situation has not been helped by the mixed and confusing messages out of Washington. You can do your own reading, but the incidence of COVID in very young children is very low. At the end of the day, I felt like it gave me a bit more advantage than not taking it.

Great finds, as for the vaccine its up to you. Several people I know have given blood last month and still have antibodies from a December infection. You can give blood and get tested yourself. If you are not vaccinated and happen to get it, go get the plasma treatment as soon as possible. Within at least 5 days of testing positive. It has worked wonders on several coworkers who are not vaccinated.

I’m 24 and got both doses of the Pfizer vaccine in April. No major side effects other than a sore arm and being a little tired for maybe a day or so afterwards. Pretty much everyone in my family and most of my friends have gotten it too, and all of them reported pretty similar. If nothing else it provides peace of mind. Knowing that all of us have significantly less chance of getting really sick and possibly dying of COVID (or spreading it to loved ones) is definitely great. I think it’s sad that it’s been politicized so much. You shouldn’t have to feel guilty about wanting to protect yourselves and your 5 year old from getting a disease that can be so devastating like COVID can be.

I'm 67 and got the vaccine no bad side effects. My daughter-in-law and son got the shots they are fine. They have a 6 and 11yr old in school. They don't want to bring it home to them. I also know of a case Mom got shot, no Covid, Dad didn't get shot and he & 6yr old son got it. You have to make the decision for yourselves. Personally I recommend the Moderna one that's what we all got. I also know of another family Mom, Dad and 2 kids no shots, Mom 41 got Covid and died.

I am a middle school teacher. I was skeptical at first just because of the quick push out. But with people I know getting the virus and passing away that were unvaccinated it was tough for me not to get it. I'm 40 years old and when you have friends with no health issues die from this virus it hits home a little harder. I got the moderna vaccine and had zero side effects. At least now if I contract the virus I'll be able to handle it without orphaning my family. It seems you and I were in the same position about the vaccine it's a tough decision with all the political overtones. Just do what you feels right and what's best for you and your family and you can't go wrong. Awesome content as usual keep it up bud!

My wife and I have both have had two vaccine shots. Wife was a little sick for a couple days on the second one but nothing serious. Most of the hospital cases up here in Alberta now are non vaccinated people. A couple next to us are vaccinated but hesitating on getting their kids done because they’re unsure of what the long term affects might be. I was personally more afraid of getting Covid then the vaccine but I’m 65 years old. Each person needs to make the choice. My wife was in serious danger if caught Covid and her Doctor said she absolutely needed to get the vaccine. Great video!

I agree. Each person has to make their own choice. I'm in Alberta to and that seems to be the general theme everywhere that the people who don't have the vaccine are the ones getting really sick and in hospital. I just wish people could make up their own minds without all the fear mongering. I also wear a mask inside where it is busy. I would just prefer to be safe than dead.

I was on the fence about the vaccine at first...very unsure about it. I had a doctors appointment and I totally trust her because she is a very caring and personable home town gal who loves her patients. She told me she was concerned that I had not taken the vaccine and that she had researched it herself before she made the decision to have the shots. So, that very day I had my first shot of the Moderna vaccine. Sore arm but that was it. 2nd shot 3 weeks later and I had a sore arm and felt kinda icky the next day so I just slept a lot. By the next day all was good. I would recommend that you seriously consider it. I am a 70 year old widow and if this can keep covid from impacting me as much, should I get it, then I am going to be pro active. To me the vaccine is a pro active thing and nothing to fear. Brandon, I got the vaccine because I have young kids, and they spend a lot of time with their great grandparents, I'd feel awful if any one of them got sick and it was because I didn't take every available precaution. Having said that, I'm not convinced it's going to be as effective at stopping this as some people think it will. Seeing as even vaccinated people are getting sick, though not as bad apparently, I get the feeling that this bug is just going to be something that never actually goes away and there will be new vaccines or boosters every year or so. But I went ahead with it because I like to hedge my bets, and I figure it's always better to err on the side of caution

Too many people are begging for the vaccine right before intubation...and a few stories I've read reveal deniers even as they are being intubated. As a Hospice nurse, in the nursing profession for 50 years, I have great sympathy for those on the front lines, day after day, month after month, afraid to even go home in case one microbe should follow them home to their families. Wearing all the gear is so draining. I've had a few Covid cases on Hospice (the original virus) and can attest to the toll it takes to make even a 45 minute visit.---I'm a chemo veteran, with a Mother who just turned 90 & is still active, we were both so relieved when the time came for us to get our shots. I had the original Covid in December last year, was out for 3 weeks with nausea as my only symptom, lost 7#. After my first shot, I had a bit of the nausea return, but no further wt loss. After the 2nd shot, I couldn't tell if there was nausea or not, but only had a bit of sore arm like you get after any injection. ---There's just too many nasty things in the world waiting for some unsuspecting host. I've seen tragedy d/t lack of adequate vaccinations in my career. I got my booster shot today, and no side effects from it or previous two either, except just a sore arm like when you get the flu shot.

Really? Just because you didn't experience any issues? What if someone in your family died? You'd have much different advice! Just saying!!

@@jammerjen5504 I did lose a family member and several close friends to it. They weren’t vaccinated. So yes, I know how it feels to lose loved ones to this dreadful crap, And it’s horrible because they had to die alone without any of us near to comfort them.

I got mine..no real side effects..achey and sore the next day but that was it. All I can say is listen to the experts and not the talking heads..take advice from people in the field, not some news anchors opinion..remember that the people working on this have been dedicating their careers and lives to medicine, not politics. It doesnt matter what your friends or outside/distant family think. Do what's best for your family and your community..it doesnt cost you anything to get the shot. Take care and keep the videos coming!

My grandkids started school this year, pre k and kindergarten. They brought home the crud. I'm so sick! I've been sick all well and it feels like it's getting worse. I wish I had got the shot. I live very rural and hardly ever leave my property so I honestly didn't think I needed to bother. I know better now.

I’ve been fully vaccinated with the Pfizer vaccine, and my husband has just received his booster for the Moderna vaccine. I plan to get my booster when I’m eligible to do so. Neither of us had any size effects, except injection site soreness for a day or so. It certainly reduces the risk of getting COVID and maybe not recovering, or being a long-hauler. The decision to be vaccinated is not political issue, but sadly, it’s perceived by some to be one. I can tell you want to protect your family and will do the right thing for you and yours.

I got the vaccine a few months ago, on the second dose I felt fairly achy enough to miss school. But other than that I have felt nothing else. I don’t really care if people get it or not, and I understand if u don’t want to get it because you don’t feel safe

    Brandon,
I work in medicine at a large teaching hospital. We are overloaded with covid patients, more than 90% unvaccinated. I have been vaccinated since last Jan. A day after injection, felt a little achy. No other side effects. As a parent and healthcare provider, I implore you to get vaccinated.

I had the Moderna vaccine and my sin too. I am 70 and my son early 5s. I had not effects and my son had a headache for 3 weeks. Now he says when the booster comes out we are gonna get it. Better chance of survival if you get covid or any varient. We also have health issues so figured we would be better off. I must add my grandson and his wife would not do the vaccine. They both came down with the Delta Var. They have two young daughters. They were really sick for about a week but stayed shut up at home and got well. Who knows what to do. My nearly 80 yearold mom got it and all her sisters. They all had no problems. Good luck and God Bless.

I had the shot when it 1st came out, glad I got it.. In the past 3 wks I lost 3 friends who did not get the shot, because they did not trust it.. I have 4 other friends that tested positive for covide-19 and now are worried, 2 of them just got the shot after their test, well see what happens.. Their age group between 21 and 54.. For me I'd rather be safe then sorry. Get the 2 shots be safe, an think of your kids.. I got the shot and I'm still here no side effects. Please stay safe..

Hello Brandon. My house got vaxxed a while ago. One of us had no side effects at all. Myself,I got mild effects, kinda of like the mildest of flu. Lasted about 24 hrs. Was a good excuse to sleep all day and watch Hogan's Heros. But it passed quickly. My thoughts are to get the vaccine.
    Good luck

As a retired nurse, I am apt to follow science… I have been vaccinated since I was a baby… no side effects… my children are all vaccinated.. no problems. I got my vaccine and had minimal side effects, fatigue, site soreness, and COVID arm. I believe the risk is far more great than some side effects. I pray you make the right decision for you and your family…💕

Nice video, I always like to watch yours. Please bring the doll back to where you found it, regardless of whether it is made of new or very old material, it is healthier to keep your hands off such things, especially in the deep south. For me it is always better to get vaccinated than to go on living my whole life with the contagious fist in my neck. Godd bless you☘️💫

Great whole "not to be sold" bottle! 👍👍 Vax question...you're probably going to hear extremes from both ends of the spectrum on that! Its going to be a very personal situation and you just may get way more than you can process. Best to trust in the Lord and your own decisions...just my opinion. Great video!

I had to think really hard about the Vax, I did talk to my primary he said since I have asthma it was best for me. Yes I was violently sick after I had the 2nd shot. I did have Rona last November. My advice is talk to your primary care Dr. I wish you and your family the best. Keep up the good work!

    Hey Brandon,
I got the vaccine back in February and other than the expected side effects from the second shot, ie chills and being tired, I have not had any other. I feel perfectly normal. I am waiting to be able to get the booster, as I'm an elementary band/orchestra teacher and most of my students are too young to be vaccinated. I hope your daughter's school has a mask mandate to keep her safe.
Oh, and not sure if it's a voodoo doll, so better safe than sorry! Put a mask on it and toss it away!🤣

Took the 2nd shot yesterday. Was definitely anti vaccine until my brother got very very sick and friends started dying in PCB FL. Cousin works in the hospital there and says the worst cases are the young unvaccinated and they go down hill quick. For us in the Blue Ridge mountains it isn’t so bad.

Hey Brandon. Love your videos. So great to see the creeks. My city ( Auckland) is in the middle of an outbreak that everyone is trying to stop. We can’t get vaccine shipments fast enough to vaccinate everyone In the country. Drive through vaccination programmes have been set up to get everyone vaccinated to stop this happening as bad again. I’m an asthmatic and I have family and friends with health issues. I had the vaccine to protect me and them. I only had a runny nose for one day about 24 hours after the jab
