    I’m fine having push fit models for box sets and start collecting boxes but i hope they bring out a more customisable and less monopose kit for them

    As a collector I’m really glad that they’re push fit. I prefer to paint stuffs in sub-assembly and I’m getting sick of using blue tac on standard models.

    I used some Heresy Miniatures Big Boris miniatures converted for models similar to those Khorne Wrathmongers.
    They are pretty big and beefy to represent human.

    The new knights are great looking. I have a fuck-ton of WoC already, but what the hell... might as well buy this box and get ready for the recently revived WHFB :-D

    I like the zig zag pattern though. It helps hide the connection points better than in years past.

    This is how true scale model upgrades should be done, unlike the Primaris where they wrote a bunch of nonsense fluff and redesigned the aesthetic of Space Marines just to justify selling us new models.

      The Primaris look way better than the old ones though.

      @@LordKingKamiGuru They really don't though. The only Primaris model that actually looks better off the shelf is Mephiston. Everything else ranges from complete trash to being worth it only to kitbash true scale marines using their bodies.

    • @LordKingKamiGuru
      @LordKingKamiGuru 4 роки тому

      @@zend1678 The old ones look like bobblehead versions of the official artwork. The Primaris look way closer in proportions to the art, which also look way better than the old. And then there's the added bonus of the new more lifelike, dynamic stances of the models. But the best part are those new delicious legs on the Reivers.
      Now we just need them to pull the ol' increase-size-but-shrink-the-head trick on every single other model in the game (especially Grey Knights), fix the Orkz herniated disks and we're golden.

    Can you field and play (all of) the contents of the new SC: Slaves to Darkness box?
    Can one field and play the contents in an open or matched play?

    • @ObscuritiesinMiniature
      @ObscuritiesinMiniature 4 роки тому

      I would imagine so. Isn't open play anything goes anyways?
      I'm going to have to grab the WarCry cards for these guys when I get a chance!
      Hopefully I can get them painted soon as well!

      I used to play 40k. Interested in trying out AoS.
      I've no idea if this StD SC can be played as a Matched Point Army structure something (haha). Sorry. I've no idea how players construct armies for play for AoS.

    Nice unboxing, u are the best !!! i wish i could double like. i have a question to anyone who plays warhammer,i like these models,but can i use just them to play any game, or i would have to buy more models so i can play ? i would like to collect them and paint them but use them to a small fast game if possible without having to add many more models.

      Song of Blades & Heroes is always my go- to suggestion. Use any minis you want. I played a summer in Japan using nothing but grocery store toys and crane machine prizes!
      If you want to use them for Warhammer, look at the Skirmish rules or WarCry. Both games use a modified Warhammer ruleset and this box is probably all you'll need in order to start playing.

      Not really unfortunately. The way the parts all fit they need everything in place to make it work.
      One advantage of having regular multi part models for sure!

      While I like the modern look of these, I still like the old metals. They had a lot of charm. Knightmare and Diehard Miniatures both produce some fun models that are very much in the spirit of the original Warriors of Chaos.

      Good question! I'm afraid I have no idea!
      I haven't picked up a General's Handbook to actually check- we were planning on using them with WarCry or Song of Blades & Heroes.
      We also have a fondness for One Page Rules' various systems.

      Having been around since the beginning, both are welcome additions. I like to use contrast to compliment the standard paint range. There's a lot of good effects to get from them. Also the mono pose allows for some more dynamic pieces imo.
