Genos and Chord tracker - play audio via WiFi and creating MIDI song

- Chord Tracker analyzes the audio songs and then displays the song's chords on the screen. With both graphical piano keyboard and guitar tab display options, Chord Tracker is even more powerful.
It is compatible with Yamaha arrangers and can create a MIDI song. In the video I explain how it works when we use Genos.

Ne znam koja bi klavijatura bila najjeftinija ali s ovom app se može raditi sa svim modelima koji imaju ugrađene stylove. PSR S, SX serija. Jedino neće ići putem WiFi jer ga samo Genos ima, no s ostalima se može raditi s USB kablom.

Yes, but it can't be transmitted via wifi, only via cable.

Can this be done on SX900?
It can also be used on the sx900. You cannot use WiFi, but you can connect your mobile phone with an OTG cable.

Da, može se postaviti bilo koji ritam, preset ili user. Kad je pjesma (Song) u klavijaturi, promjena bilo kojeg ritma će biti prihvaćena i song će dobiti potpuno drugačiji "štih". To možeš primjetiti na 7,50 sekundi gdje sam promijenio ritam jer onaj koji sam odabaro u Chord trackeru nije bio dobar. Promijenio sam opet preset ali isto tako se može odabarati user.
Drago mi je što ti se sviđaju moji videi i što pratiš kanal. Prelazak s Korga na Yamahu nije lak posao i ako ćeš to učiniti moraš biti 100% da to i želiš jer te čeka dosta posla. Yamaha ima drugačiji koncept i neke su stvari u odnosu na Korg riješene na kompliciraniji način.
Thanks Casper, very useful and practical your video, I have allready put it in practice, the only thing that I found in the software is that when transposing any song and sending it to the keyboard, it doesn't maintain the transposed key that I wanted, it goes back to the original key. Think is a software issue. Don't you think so? Thanks.
Hello Bernardo, I haven't studied that part too much so I can't help it. I suggest you make a transpose in the keyboard afterwards.
Casper tutorSynth, hello my friend, The problem is that when I transpose the song in chord looper, everything goes up or down, respectively. What I wanted is, per example, transposing the song fron Bb to C, in order to play it in C scale. Chord looper raises or lowers the whole tune, means that you have to play the song in the same Bb, even raising it 2 notes. Hope I made my self clear. Thanks a lot for your help and support Casper.
If you want to play a song from b major in c major, you need to select the value -10. Try it. By the way, this video explains working with a Chord tracker, not a Chor looper.
Casper tutorSynth , Thanks a lot Casper for your patience and interest, but I think I wasn't able to explain you in a better way the problem issue, when using chord tracker, transposing, and then sending it to keyboard to chord looper, which is perhaps one way to send the chords from one app to another in the keyboard, and maintain those chords in the new key. Please my apologies. Best regards, I appreciate a lot your thoughts, If you have a while then, you could make the exercise and you could see what I'am talking about.

Thanks, Casper, for the review and the app actually does a very good job of encoding the songs, however, I couldn't solve my problem with Chord Tracker. I have the ipad connected to the digital piano via wi-fi device (UD-WL01) and I recorded some songs in the app - files in Wave. Now I need access to them to edit, but I can't copy/export the files to the device (iPad) or even to iCloud. That is, I can't access what I recorded at all... I can only listen. Would you have any tips on how can I access these files?

I think it has to do with the iPad's audio protection. I don't know how it could be solved.

I haven't used the Sx900 but I don't think Bluetooth can be used. You can connect the mobile with a USB cable to the keyboard, the effect will be the same as WIFi.

Thank you for putting your knowledge at our disposal. The app, I seem to understand, does not load midi files, from which I cannot pull out the chords, or maybe send it to the genos. Is this so? Greetings from Italy and stay healthy.
Chord Tracker does not load MIDI. Chord Tracker plays Audio files (MP3 and Wav) and analyzes which chords are played in them. Then the appropriate rhythm (yamaha style) is called and he will play the keyboard in the chord arrangement. That's how MIDI plays in Genos Song Player.

Another great demonstration Casper! I was curious how this app actually works. I have the SX900, and can connect via BlueTooth to my Android Samsung phone, but the only function it will do is to playback audio from Chord Tracker. It doesn't detect the Instrument in the app, so it looks like it needs a WLAN connection. I tried a generic WLAN USB adapter, but it sure looks like the ONLY adapter that works correctly with the SX900 is Yamaha's UD-WL01.

I believe the Software License Agreement for Chord Tracker prohibits using it on copyrighted music like this, without permission. It says the data received by means of the software "may not be *duplicated, transferred....* ... without permission of the copyright owner."
The video is for educational purposes and does not violate copyright laws. The songwriters will earn money from watching the video anyway, see the description below the video.

Moze li on napraviti midi fajl koji putem USB memorije Mozes upotrebiti posle u korgovom aranzeru?
Ne možeš to napraviti direktno. Midi koji je stvoren na ovaj način koristi Ritam iz Yamahe. To nije klasični oblik MIDI datoteke pa se ne može ubaciti u neki drugi aranžer. Međutim, kada bi ovaj "Yamaha MIDI" obradio, (samo ga treba "propustiti" kroz MIDI Recorder), dobio bi standardni midi fajl koji će svirati na bilo kojem Sequencer playeru. Naravno, treba mu po potrebi prilagoditi drum mapping ili skinuti nepotrebne tonove sa MV.

Naravno, nije potrebno svirati kao na videu, dovoljno je pustiti MIDI koje je kreiran putem Chord Trackera
Može se na isti način snimiti na bilo koji DAW, cubase, reaper ...

For some markets, Genos is shipped without a WIFI adapter. You have two solutions:
1. Buy external WIFI

@@Bokibend09 Ako znam i stignem, rado pomognem kolegama. Kada ide matrica, VH se može korisiti na više načina. Prvi je da se drži harma u skladu s MIDIjem u lijevoj ruci i to daje informaciju za vocalist. Drugi je da se jedna traka MIDIja isporogramira i ona pokreće vocalist. Može se iskoristiti postojeći kanal u midiju gdje svira strings ili gitara. Treći je način da se koristi Scale Diatonic za koji ne treba midi informacija za akord jer se radi o tercama koje pjevaju u skladu postavljene harme.

Genos are shipped without wifi for some markets. I think this can be solved with the UD-WL01.

Hello I really need to know how to multi track record songs or midi please help me...
Simply open Multitrack Recording in Menu 2, press Recording and play. This is how a midi file is recorded. There are other methods, depending on what you need.

Može se i ova aplikacija iskoristiti ali samo do onog dijela gdje prepoznaje akorde. Poslije je potrebeno samostalno odrediti odgovarajući ritam u klavijaturi.

How can I conect my ROLAND FP10 , with that nice Yamaha. app ? The bluetooth pairing request from FP10 comes on my Android phone , but the app fail connecting , after aproval . Not even the instrument to Android phone (USB-A --USB-c ) cable connection seems to work.
This app only works with Yamaha arranger models. Can't work with Roland, Korg, Ketron...
