As much as I hate Valentino, I couldn’t help laughing at the exchange.

I hate him, but the background dialogue he has in episode 6 absolutely killed me.
@@Riconortit’s the curse of having such a good voice actor. He gives the guy REAL personality, and that includes funny moments. It makes the tormentor all the worse because of how much more real it makes him feel.

Val and Adam get a bunch of really good lines
In the Pilot, Husk said "I lost the ability to love ages ago." Glad to see that didn't extend to kindness. Bro is like a grumpy, tsundere cat.😂

Very true for many here. And Husk is definetly the type that will be distant (maybe partially out of not wanting to drag them into his situation). But does it out of protection. He's either gonna be empathetic and good at hiding it or hella depressed. And luckily his a sweetheart
People have brought up a little theory that another reason husk gets so super upset at seeing angel's drink getting drugged is because he works as a bartender and takes that job seriously, so if before the hotel he ever did work as a bartender somewhere else it only makes sense he would get mega pissed at seeing that happen
Angel wasn't just a gangster, he was the son of a mob boss, at least that was the story back when the pilot released.
I like the detail of Charlie throwing her coat on the fire and it not getting burnt
Valentino is such a good villain. Seeing everyone rally behind hating him so unanimously is awesome. He's a true villain, a horrible, irredeemable, despicable villain. No tragic backstory, no bullshit reason to sympathize with him, A classic villain. I can't wait to see angel dust give him his comeuppance.

I really love the song “Poison”, but it was hard to watch knowing Valentino is involved with causing more hurt to Angel.
But then Keith David comes and saves the day with “Loser, Baby”. Hazbin Hotel never fails with their musical song numbers.
Not gonna lie, I know many ship Angel and Husk, but honestly this episode made me wish they just became best pal, no romance, just pure friendship.
Honestly, whether it's a purely platonic friendship, or even a romantic relationship that's built off a genuine friendship, it's still so much healthier than the relationships either of them seem to have ever had.

Same, Husker the whole episode acted like the bro that isn't happy with where his life is, but still cares enough to tell it how it is and give you encouragement where he didn't get it.

Valentino is definitely one of if not the most hated in the series. If only one can't be redeemed most would pick him. Also towards Angel's character: When Val was threatening him in the dressing room. Angel said "just don't hurt her" he cared more about Charlie's safety then his own. It's so heartbreaking because he is a good person, he is just broken down by his situation. Speaking of Charlie's Dad, next episode is going to be amazing!
It’s honestly a wild thing though. Logically Angel should KNOW that Val is physically incapable of harming Charlie. She’s so much higher than Val on the demon food chain it’s fucking hilarious. And yet, because of how often Val hurts Angel, he has no trouble imagining Val somehow being able to hurt Charlie.

She doesn't act rich except when she randomly hands over large sums of money. She presents herself as a kind, innocent soul. Usually you correlate that with someone needing to be protected. It was very much an instinct for him.
Maybe, if they put him in an armor of chastity and is unable to curse, and is the slave of his slaves, including Angel Dust.

Sinners and Winners looks are based on a couple of factors
1. How they looked when they were alive
2. How they died
3. What they were like when they were alive
4. And what their power level is once dead
As for hellborn and heaven born characters that’s a whole different story
Total props to Valentino's VA for selling how monstrous he is.
Joel Perez (Val's VA) even admitted having to do this episode made him depressed afterwards because of the subject matter.

Also I love that Charlie was self aware that she was the reason that Val got pissed at angel and that she didn’t allow vaggie to take the blame off of her when she knew she was the one that caused the problem with the studio being on fire.

husk and angel are friends because mutual suffering/fate. only untill husk said they were in the same situation angel realized that charlie vaggie ( not) alastor mean good and want to help, just like how sir pentious was hired to spy but eventually found peace and got to be a resident in the hotel ( and i dont count nifty and husk as resdients as alastor summoned them to work for the hotel)

The way a sinner looks is the way they lived their life on earth and the sins they committed there demon form is a reflection of their life of earth basically
Same thing goes for the angels but with the virtues they embrace

Anyone who’s seen Outlander would know that Hazbin Hotel definitely handled SA a lot better and more tastefully than Outlander did.
Honestly out of all the episodes Masquerade is my favorite one to see other people react to and unfortunately the reason is obvious with it having easily the darkest scene and song in the show involving one of the best characters and just how REAL the whole scene is, aside from the momentary usage of Soul Magic it’s a very grounded scene which adds to the darkness even more.
also while I’m Numb to Twitter trying to cancel something cause nowadays that’s just a sign that it’s a successful thing you should check out but when it tries to cancel that scene specifically I actually god pissed cause People NEED to see this kind of stuff I mean we all know it happens but they have to see just how bad these issues involving the adult filming world and 18+ industry is with the workers who are treated like property instead of people cause it’s a grim situation for a ton of people. Second fav is the next episode actually for a much more refreshing and happier reason tho.

Most reason that people are mad is cause the person who animated those specific scenes has a kink with that stuff or something like that, and is just awful to ser that someone like that made those scenes

So, the rough requirements of the appearance for Sinners is what kind of occupation they had in life, a physical aspect that they hate about themselves, and the manner in which they died.
This easily has to be the best episode of the series for me. I had been really enjoying the show for the first three episodes, but after this one, I knew I was emotionally invested. And the seeds were planted in those first few episodes, especially episode 2. Some people commented that they thought Valentino was played a bit too comedic in the second episode, and he is funnier there than in this one, but I think that is more how his rampant jealousy and obsessive anger were getting in the way of Vox's machinations, and the latter was trying to reel him in before he screwed them over. He is still showcasing all of the signs of abusive behavior in that scene. Combine that with the gaslighting voice messages he was leaving Angel Dust, and we can see that the stage was set for this episode when it all comes to the light.
Above all, Blake Roman killed it voicing Angel Dust in this episode. You can feel every raw emotion in his voice. The fear, the sadness, and the trauma all come out in his performance. I really am looking forward to where Angel Dust's story goes from here.
I love how the v's think Charlie is a weak girl that they could kill when they want, will make it even better when they see her let loose and realize all the times they came close to death.
Also being a shark in hell must be like wearing a red shirt in Star Trek. It never ends well for them.
Charlie being one to finally snap and using angellic power to functionally delete him. Would be a fair snapping moment. She'd feel bad but really everyone and the audience would see its fair. A real emotional smack.

Combined with the slow knuckle cracking, you can hear the slow boiling rage in Nate's voice as he talks about Valentino.

In this episode:
- Like with last episode, this one also had things changed after initial airing. Particularly, Prime video age rated it with a "16+", "MA15 (AU)" and such. Now, it says "18+", "R (AU)" and so forth. This makes the episode currently the Hazbin Hotel episode with the highest age rating due to you know what being present in the episode.
- in the scene with the po-. Adult film that our beloved spoods stars in, he's wearing his pilot outfit.
- That frame of Anthony "Angel Dust" leaving the hotel nonchalantly while wearing those snazzy glasses is the same one seen on the Hazbin Hotel twitter account's pride month teaser post.
- At Val's studio, Travis is working with Val and more so is the director of the adult films starring our spider boi. Surprising, really. hehe XD
- When Anthony comments to Val and Travis about the script, Val says: "You think anyone watches for the dialogue?"
- When the studio was on fire, Charlie tried to put it out with her blazer.
- Speaking of the fire, Val's "coat" unravels, turns into wings and puts out the fire. Along with those moth squeaking sounds and the antennas, this further shows that Val is indeed a moth demon.
- During the no no scene with Val and Anthony in the latter's dressing room, some silver lining is, some goodies can be spotted. One being that particular bottle with a heart on its cap is present during a scene. This bottle then pops up again later in the episode and it was used to spike our dear arachnid boi's drink, that bottle is Val and Velvet's love potion that was advertised back in episode two. That being said, our spider has some of it? Sadly, that explains part of the predicament he's in with Val AND possibly why Anthony is seen with fluid leaking out of his mouth during the end of a particular musical number.
- Another goodie seen in the dressing room is, respectively, a clothing line. Possibly some of those outfits on it are ones our spoods has worn in previous media and merch and throughout, again, an upcoming particular musical number.
- Second to last one is we val use "his smoke" being fabricated it objects, particularly a set of chains to...well...chain up Anthony. This action was seen in episode two and during the ADDICT music video.
- Finally, before going back to the studio and we truly see the contract in which Anthony so(u)ld himself to val AND it has our spider boi's real name at the end of it. Angel Dust's real name is, and the one I've been saying, "...Anthony". This same name was revealed previously during the OG/pilot cast's "Australian wildfire charity" live stream, but now this episode marks also a reveal for the show of our dear arachnid's real name.
- When Charlie sees Anthony get mistreated by Val, she gets angry and shows her horns once more. The previous time that happened before this was back in episode one.
- Speaking of this musical number I kept mentioning..."Poison". Yes, "Poison" OR "Addict 2: Electric Boogaloo", but no Cherri Bomb XD I josh. I personally feel both of the spoods songs rock equally. That being said, "Poison" has much in common with "Addict" where they both go over his life, trauma and the horrible sitch he is in with Val.
- That shot of Anthony during the end of Poison's first chorus is the same image seen when his redesigned was revealed. Same pose and background, but different expression and different "attire".
- Throughout the "Poison" musical number, we see shots of a director clapboard. It says: "Production 69 420.666.13, Roll 6, Scene 7, Take 4, Director: Travis", nice hehe. XD
- When Val has a smoke of Anthony's cigarette, he blows out red smoke instead of grey as seen with the cigarette.
- When Anthony got real pissed at Husk for calling him "fake", we got a look at his demon form...partially...AND it shows that those "freckles" under his eyes are actually his six other eyes. Alongside the fact a scene later on in the episode shows he has eight limbs and what the renegades said about his life before hell and why he looks the way he does, this further shows that our beloved spoods boi is indeed...well...a spider themed demon.
- About his partial demon form again, we saw Anthony's full demon form in the pilot. Granted it was just a silhouette.
- Husk in the episode is heard making cat noises. This goes back to the fact that some characters like Val, Al, Vox and such make noises respective to what they are.
- When Husk throws the shark gangster into the jukebox, next to the Jukebox is Hatchet. He was previously seen in the last episode and, long story short, is an old character of Vivziepop that longtime fans are familiar with.
- Husk reveals he's a former overlord AND, like the scene of Anthony's contract with Val, that he sold his soul to Alastor and how.
- When Husk dances with Anthony, he holds all of Anthony's hands and not just one set.
- Husk's fighting arsenal takes the form of gambling items, nice. Particularly, the playing cards as sharp throwing knives and the gambling dice as bombs.
- Anthony's tommy guns make a reappearance, previously being seen in episode two.
- Speaking of the aforementioned Anthony's set of arms and how he has eight limbs like a spider, his last set of arms pop out of his body when he starts welding tommy guns in each hand. This shot also shows that whereas his first and second set of arms wear pink gloves and white gloves respectively, his last set of arms OR the hands are exposed. This contrasts to the pilot in which his third set of arms are like his first two sets of arms: clothed by the jacket and at the end are short red gloves.
- When Anthony tells Husk about how bad Val's eyes are so bad that it takes him "...30 minutes to count three bills", that statement is seen in the "Addict" music video when it goes to the clip inside Val's limousine.

13:37 also his real name has a weird origin. During one of the Hunicast streams (held by Ashley Nichols, girlfriend of MIchael Kovach, the Angel Dust from HH pilot) it was revealed by Michael that Angel's real name was Martin, and then Marvin and he ended up with Anthony. And someone posted in on Hazbin Hotel Fandom page. For some time he was named "Anthony Paddle".
It's super unique to see something that was sort of a joke to be canonized like that.

I’m a Christian and Sure some stuff isn’t good but I enjoy the stuff that’s not based around heaven. I don’t know why people can’t enjoy a show for the good stuff instead of focusing on the bad stuff.

@@Crescent1400 Considering they have Christian based animation shows that downplay the horrors in the Bible, of course. Their whole thing is to control the narrative of who and what is good and bad, not who are or what actually IS good and bad.
Like Veggie Tales and the genocide of Jericho, The lesson being taught, "always obey and follow God's orders" even when the immoral of the story is literally slaughtering people for their land and having a different religion.
Having a show that shows reality always angers them. Popping horns on a person doesn't make them bad and throwing a halo over another doesn't make them good. Same goes in real life. Living in the US, the nicest people I've ever met were not religious or were atheists and the absolute worst always claimed to be religious (Christian mostly) and used it as their excuse to be horrible and speak vitriol.
Why would you find enjoyment in that? Doesn't that kind of taints your enjoyment in the end?

Tbh, I was the most curious on how they were gonna voice Valentino. He seemed to not be as serious in episode 2, but I’m glad how serious he was in episode 4. I’m still not used to his VA not being Paranoid DJ, but Joel Perez is doing a very good job on making people absolutely loathe Valentino.

As good of a song as it may be… I couldn’t watch “Poison”. It very quickly became clear what was going to happen. I just looked away and once the music number ended I just said. “Is it over? Can I look back now?”
My friend just was like. “Yeah it’s done.”
Also a friend of mine pointed out to me. All the physical contact Husk makes with Angel during “Loser” is instigated by holding a hand out or similar. Never directly grabbing or pulling him without Angel doing so first. It’s subtle but that means something.
This episode made me feel bad for Angel Dust. With the scene that had some controversy around it feel like it ain't that big of a controversy considering his character. The stuff with Angel and Husk honestly made me understand why there's some ships of Angel and Husk all started from 1 small interaction in the pilot. Loser Baby and Poison are so far my favorite songs in the show

I have my own speculation how Alastor is a vigilante kind of guy despite being a serial killer in his past life which is he only killed bad people, there's an official comic where an assault is happening at an alley and Alastor helps the victim by eating the agressor and Husk's past about being an Overlord kinda gave me that hint again because when Alastor arrived to hell he started to broadcast his killings but never planned to take over, that's why he denied Vox and didn't killed Husk despite being initially one of targets he would go after, instead he slaved him on his own game, there was no need to kill Husk probably because he's just a gambler and that alone is what took Husk to hell just like Alastor was just a killer of bad people even though that's morally questionable but mostly good he ended up in hell anyway.
Yeah, I don't believe that. Alastor might have some good traits but the guy is clearly a sadist who does what he does for power and for the sake of it.

I'm just gonna tell y'all flat out, Alastor is NOT a protagonist. He is a main character, working WITH Charlie, the protagonist, but under NO circumstances is he a Good Guy.
Him messing with Vox was because it's personal, & putting Pentious in his place is because he enjoys it. These were not done for any sense of "justice" or because they were "deserving." It was for his personal pleasure first & foremost.
In his mortal life, Alastor was a serial killer & a cannibal, & not just any run of the mill murderer either. He would broadcast his victims torture & pain over the radio because he reveled in it.

As a fan of Phantom of the Opera, the intro made me happy. 🙂 Also, when somebody refers to Phantom of the Opera as a "dinosaur musical," I'd probably fire back with Love Never Dies, the kinda good but kinda bad sequel attempting to modernize it. I don't hate it tho, still has a pretty good soundtrack.
I need to see how the season ends but I got to wait for my friend to catch up😢they are all in episode 2
It's a little strange how, at 9:10, Valentino says two swear words in a row, but you left the first one uncensored, but censored the second one. Don't get me wrong, I get why you did it, but that says a lot about how bizarre UA-cam's rules are. I guess it's because the first one is more common, while the second one is more "personal"?

I mean yeah characters react. Given Charlie's mom was all about music too I think impromptu magic musical numbers are just a part of this universe and it's great.

@@bestboyholland3217I watched 12 straight minutes of it where they didn't pause. Or do anything, including react. Watch other reaction videos and you'll see what I mean. They don't need to show the episode or them watching it. If they're just going to talk about it afterwards... They can make the video "our thoughts on this episode" if they want to talk after. The point of a reaction is to react to the scenes. This is by far a 1 out of 10 reaction. If you're not going to react then don't do it.
@jakechecolinski5929 They pause throughout the video and make good points about what's happening, they also did a great job analysing angel dusts character. I have watched alot of reactions and I prefer them to pause and talk at the end instead of talking over important parts.
