I saw Leo perform many times in the 80's at the Sussex Airport Airshow in NJ. At the time I was just learning to fly. I remember thinking to myself after watching Leo do his thing....Man, I don't even belong in the same airspace with this guy! RIP Leo
One of my absolute favorites. I will never forget seeing him in the bud light silver bullet BD5J and his laser 200 at Quonset Point and other airshows. He was indeed a national treasure.
Leo was fantastic and one of my heroes in my youth. The time when I got to meet him in my 20s it was the same time I met Sean Tucker. Leo was a very precise pilot. His routines in that Laser were world class.
saw him fly in Lawrenceville GA. flew down (from GVL) Friday to wTch him come in! he was a great man!!! let me go in hanger a look over laser all I wanted,sId he was proud I flew D own to C him at such a young age!! (19)
I live in Spring Hill, TN in Looper’s Landing. We would love to have a book to read about Mr. Loudenslager. If you have written it, where could we find it?
No cliff hanger. Leo was riding his motorcycle on RT 31 near Thompson Station, TN when a driver coming in the opposite direction veered into Leo's path and struck him. The :30 promo spot featuring Leo for WKRN aired one time only when we learned that Leo had been injured in the accident.

Leo was the greatest that there was. Shear perfection........every time. I took my kids to Washington, DC to see his plane at the Air & Space Museum.
