The woman talking about shoring up the household duties has a valid point, sort of. I am a man that was married to a woman that was a stay at home wife and mother. I was working a job where I was working 10-12 hours per day with an hour drive each way to work and back. It got to the point where I was doing 100% of the monetary support for the family, 100% of the yard work, 100% of the grocery shopping, 75% of the cooking, more than 50% of the cleaning, and when I walked into the house after work, I was doing 100% of the child care. It does wear a person down. But that didn't make me unhappy with my job, it made me unhappy with my spouse. So to claim that is what is making women say they are unhappy with their work is somewhat deceptive.
Your past marriage brings up an aspect of natural roles that the ladies refused to admit. We are helpmates to each other and gravitate towards certain roles and duties in the home. We take turns on things and trad off on chores we hate. And thank God you got out of that marriage. God didn’t create men to be a slave to women while they’re believing the relationship is all about them.
Oh boy. I'm a SAHM and I Homeschool as well. My husband is 100% responsible for all the finances. But I cook, clean, maintain the house, act as his secretary for when bills needs phone calls made etc. I also flip furniture on the side for my own pocket money and give him 25% of what I make because he works hard enough. I refuse to have him feel like he needs another job or to stress too much about money. He also is a great hands on dad and helps around the house, you def had a spouse who wasnt pulling her weight.... side note....I went from a corporate girl boss who does have a higher degree than my hubby to a traditional wife. I'll never go back to that feminist life I was chasing. These ladies have no concept of our inate nature to nurture.
@@starnmystique sounds like you have a great relationship going. It's supposed to be a team effort. As my experience showed, men can and will do things to help out in the family and around the house. We were told, by HR, in a meeting room, that if a woman makes any accusation about a man that the company would fire the man. The company was not going to put its business at risk... its government contracts, etc.. It was the position of the company to fire the man as the cheapest and easiest action to take with the least liability. Men pulled back. Simple as that. Been this way for years all the way from Clarence Thomas / Anita Hill.
These girls thought they were brilliant thinkers and Michael highlighted how little they've thought through their opinions. If you haven't watched the whole debate its hilariously mind numbing.
Fully agree. I watched the whole debate sometime ago and, as you say, it was rather amusingly mind numbing. The three girls put up a facade of deep thought but their core argument is essentially very shallow.
The main purpose of nurses was to provide muscle power to move and position immobile patients. Not to provide actual medical care. The modern position is what we call an orderly.
@@DAVID-io9njyou have that backwards my guy. The orderly was to provide the muscle, the nurse was an assistant to the physician and tended to the the patient while the doctor was away. This has been going on for centuries. Even then most nurses where women, because generally they are more empathetic than men.
I worked at big box W for many years. Their sexual harassment rule were strict. If a man was accused of sexual harassment. He got fired. Period. Even if the accusation came from a third party. On the other hand women could harass men and nothing was ever done about it. There was an older woman who went around embarrassing me every day. In the break room not just saying sexy things to men but running her hands through their hair , rubbing up against them etc. Shevwas complained about to management. Nothing was done to her for years and finally she left on her own.
He should have elaborated on the “men would be more happy sitting around doing nothing”. That is absolutely not true. Men are happiest when they are accomplishing things. Men that sit around doing nothing get depression and low self-esteem.
There’s two sides of this. Men absolutely love to sit on the couch, have a beer and watch their favorite sport without worrying about work. It’s a balance though. A man won’t enjoy his leisure as leisure if he doesn’t have something exhausting him.
Michael is very kind, though. It's actually strange how the liberal media paint him as some deranged right-wing demagogue. He's actually the nicest, most welcoming person on the DW.
He doesn't need to be anything but polite. 😅 Do you think everything needs to be a knock down drag out confrontation? This is a perfect example of what "conversations" used to be.
One of the reasons I personally would not want to be a nurse is because it's such a female dominated field, and I think that is toxic. My wife is a nurse so I hear the stories, and the main theme is women create unhealthy work environments.
Their theory also falls apart when you realize that a lot of male-oriented jobs are super in demand right now. Electricians are making bank and companies are begging for more.
sad thing is , how they complain about advancement in the workplace but women are the absolute worst to other women in the workplace, sabotaging each other over jealousy.
Men won’t choose teaching as a career because woman like the ones on the panel think men should earn six figures and you can’t do that as a teacher. nursing in the other hand is a fantastic career with many paths to a six figure salary.
I had a male friend who worked for a major chemical company and was fired from an office made up of all women after 25 years when he was accused of having elevator eyes by HR.This was a few years ago when the Me Too movement started.
I think when people say they'd like to just sit on the couch or on the beach 🏖️ and do nothing is usually someone who just needs a vacation. And usually a few days or a week takes care of that.
5:30 Mike, I know you probably don't read this, but you're spot on here. I go through a mandatory annual training program every year at my work, and the section on sexual harassment has gotten more and more stringent every year. Two years ago, a scenario was presented with a group of guys laughing (joke wasn't shown/filmed), and a woman walked in to join them and said "What's so funny?" To which the guys all put on more serious demeanors and one said, "Ah, nothing, let's get started" (as if a meeting were about to commence). That was presented as an example of workplace harassment. Last year, an example of sexual harassment was given from a man complimenting a woman's jacket or blouse (or some article of clothing). Not even creepily, like "Hey, I like that jacket." So we're not even supposed to do that or, at the very least, it warrants a warning and a mark on your record if reported (so it's risky). Can't wait to see what this year's brings! Maybe we'll have to have eye-contact timers set.
Yeah, I'd be happiest building something. Never sleeping. Then, fishing. If a woman wanted to join me whilst doing so...cool. Everyone else please leave me alone!
I’m surprised Michael forgot to mention the stat that Jordan Peterson always cites which I love. That in Denmark and the other Scandinavian countries, they have the most egalitarian economy and government incentives for men to work in traditional female industries and women in the masculine industries. Guess what happened, the two sexes moved FURTHER into their OWN corners. Women moved MORE into female nurturing, people focused industries and men more into stem and manual labor/ trades. There’s nothing wrong with men doing what men like and women doing what women like. Even when countries do what these feminists want them to do with government and societal incentive structures or mandates, women and men segregate into their biologically evolved preferred industries. Men like to work with their hands, work on things, inventing things, women prefer caretaking roles, working with other people young or old.
@ericmoore5021. This is exactly what I was thinking and going to type in the comments. It would have shutdown most, if not all, of their arguments. I hope he remembers next time.
One of the biggest problems with the *"Me Too" movement,* was that it seemed to only apply to women on the *"Left" !!!!* Women on the right were discarded, and ignored. Just for one example, compare the whole Judge Kavanaugh fiasco to the Biden and Tara Reid situation. Kavanaugh was on TV 24/7 with a major trial, Tara Reid there were crickets.
It's so funny to me how these women try to sound smart by saying "there is a study that says...." or "there is a research that indicates.." I could almost bet that those "documents" were a Google search. And as always, Michael is great at debating with all kind of people!
Michael, did you forget that a whole Scandinavian country studied this....the more egalitarian the social contruct, the more the difference of career choices based on gender

Our situation is our choice, no one made it for us. This was a better discussion than most Whatevers, but the ladies kept talking past Knowles and preventing this discussion from being truly productive.
No one I know, who’ve been wrongly accused of inappropriate HR behaviour is eager to bring it up. Besides being urged by HR to keep it quiet in the first place, no one wants to shout from the rooftops that they’ve been wrongly accused of gross behaviour because, even if totally innocent, the mere accusation stains a reputation.
The reason women do more work around the house is because most men don't really care what the house looks like, how it is decorated, etc. Plus they forget about all the other jobs men do around the house, like yard work, garbage, fixing cars, etc. Some of it has to do with the person, I like to cook, so I will do that if she cleans up.
And I'm honestly going to give them props for not getting overly emotional. I may be a conservative but I am a woman and I get overly emotional when arguing with people. I know that about myself and I'm not proud of it.
😂 I work 2 jobs, 52-55 hour work weeks. I have VA disability because I'm an injured vet so I have 3 sources of income. I clean all dishes 99% of the time. I take out the trash, clean litter box, pick up dog poop, cook when I don't work the 2nd job at night and help pick up around the house when I can/ Sunday clean day. My point yea it sucks women have to work and have house chores but that's life. Don't blame women unhappiness on men being lazy. Maybe you just don't have a good man? Edit: almost forgot, shovel snow, mow lawn, fix anything in house like leaky sink, clogged toilet, light switch faulting, doing laundry
Perfect example. In the beginning all telephone operators were all men. They found men were too impatient and mean. They changed to all women who were kinder and want to be helpful and nurturing.
Early in my career I trained to be a teacher, but ultimately found my way into an engineering role because I like it more. I'm thankful that I live in an egalitarian society that allows both men and women to pursue their interests. More men (like me) end up in engineering simply because more men tend to like it. More women tend to pick nurturing roles because more women like those roles. This is not a sign of a broken society, but the sign of a healthy society.
I am a man, I work “warrior” job where everyday I could be killed or severely injured. I work out every day, I don’t play video games, I am in pain every single waking hour from injuries and miles on my body and I don’t take pain killers, I make the bed, I clean and tidy up the house, I do dishes, make food, do laundry, I can sew, I take care of animals, I garden, I repair things and build things, I take care of my wife and family, I take care of others when I see them in need. There are thousands just like me. A mans profession doesn’t correlate with feminism or household duties. And getting your idea of a man or what he does or doesn’t do from a social media influencer or anyone similar is a poor source.
I work full time and do laundry and cook most of the meals (because I'm a better cook) and my wife is a stay at home mom. I do alot of things around the house on top of helping raise my step kids. On top of being accused of sexual harassment back in high school because I wouldn't date her. I never harassed anyone I just wouldn't check yes or no on a piece of paper. They changed my entire class schedule mid term because of how she felt. Of course according to the woman in black I'm full of shit because she doesn't believe anything that doesn't fit her narrative
The one girl that asked for examples of where a guy complimented a woman and got punished for it is interesting. It is looking for a specific case. Many of the sexual harassment cases are brought internally to a company. Only the very egregious cases involving sexual assault get into courts. But a perfect example of this sort of case occurred at a company I used to work at. A woman was being trained by a man. The man was going through a nasty divorce and it was eating at him. He talked about it some while he was training this woman. The woman later went to supervision and said it made her feel uncomfortable. The supervisor looked into it, coached the guy and dropped any further action. There wasn't much there. 8 months later the guy is called into the managers office and demoted because of this event. All a woman has to say is that a guy's actions made them feel uncomfortable and bang! the guy is in trouble. And it is unknown what will set a woman off.
Here's my anecdote... I worked with a guy who jokingly put his hands around my throat and I jokingly told him my husband is the only one allowed to choke me, and we laughed and laughed😂 Granted you have to know your audience.
@@FleetingDream755 That is my point. If he had done what he did to someone else = trouble. If I had said what I said to someone else = trouble. And you read my comment and assumed flirting... my colleague was gay and married, and I am straight and married. A joke with the wrong audience = trouble.

I'm not aware of us ever having any laws prohibiting women working professional jobs. It's just that women tended not to be interested in them. But the relatively few women who sought that in life were allowed to do it. As far as I can tell, the most common setup was for women to use professional jobs as a form of dating service: they'd take the jobs to get access to eligible bachelors, work for a few years and then get married and start a family. But some stayed and made a career of it.
In over 40 years of bring raised in the public school system and working in the US, I have never once been told that nursing jobs are for women or too girly for men. Rather, I have been correctly taught that there is a natural reason women are more attracted to medical positions than men. In addition, I personally have had both male and female nurses and doctors in that time. Would it be better for a man to teach ballot than be unemployed? Of course, yes. However, he will most likely move to a different field as he continues to work and leave ballot entirely.
A man in medicine is more likely to deal with technical aspects of medicine, like surgery or diagnostics. Fields where comforting people emotionally is less a part of the job.

@fndmntl5341 Apologies. It sounded like she was saying women currently are refused the ability to open bank accounts. As it stands, we women aren't legally kept from doing anything a man can do, so her bringing up the past as of it actually affects women today, is disingenuous.
@fndmntl5341 Agreed. And things definitely aren't "fair" for men. Men are required to register with the military. And my son recently got his license and insurance flat-out said it would cost more for him BECAUSE he's a male. I hate how women act like we are treated less when the evidence points to the contrary.
Sexyal Harassment in the workplace goes way too far, in some cases. Back in 1997, I got hired into Boeing Aerospace. Professionally, what's the difference between a boss who is a man and who is a woman? NOTHING. So, why is it important to point it out? NO RATIONAL REASON WHATSOEVER.
I would love to be a traditional wife but I like my office job, I like working generally. Even though it’s great to be a stay at home mom it’s also okay to work. Sometimes it isn’t as black and white. If I have a child then it is a must for me to make that sacrifice but if I don’t, I still have to work because I have stay on my feet. I don’t think a woman should sit down and wait for a man to provide. It isn’t biblical either, working is something that is given to us since we were created. I think we should definitely support women to work not only for the financial aspects of it but also for the mental reward.
I had a female coworker claim she was sexually harassed by two guys at work to get out of getting in trouble for not doing her job. Those guys almost got fired over it, no questions asked. They only didn't list their jobs because their boss was able to stand up for them and exposed her as a liar. And when she admitted that she made everything up, nothing happened to her.
Historically...? Historically women were doing jobs that mostly men are doing now. Working in fields with crops, taking care of cattle, helping to build stuff and collecting food and wood for fire etc etc

11:11 I think it’s a little of both. It is natural for men to want more physical jobs…even Hollywood sometimes slips up and admits that (see the ending of Office Space). But, I also think that sometimes men don’t want to do these “feminine” jobs out of fear of being labeled gay, pansy, etc because society tells them they have to do those jobs “in this way.” Even Michael is doing it in this discussion. Nursing does not require nurturing…sometimes being efficient is better. And, I know I’m going to get hate for this, at times might even be good to not be nurturing…sometimes people need to be told to quite stuffing Twinkies in their mouths. Quit telling men they have to be effeminate to do these jobs, and maybe they’ll do them.
The fact that they don't seem to grasp the fact that men and women are different and gravitate naturally towards different career fields is telling. The one with glasses wants to say that unemployed men should take whatever job they can get and why can't they go into nursing...Well a career in nursing requires getting training and certifications. You typically do not decide that your going to spend money on getting into a career that you do not feel drawn to enter by something other than I need a job. She's really good at suggesting men go into nursing or hospitality jobs, I wonder if men started doing those jobs and taking the place of women in them if she would suggest women should start trying to get jobs as roofers, welders, and digging ditches?
That chick talking about how "me too" dropped the ball by not making more laws to criminalize harassment.... There is a thing called criminal harassment; it's unwelcome and *repeated* attention given after the recipient has asked for the attention to stop (basically). What she seems to be upset about is that they weren't able to criminalize a "creepy" guy giving them a compliment that made them slightly uncomfortable.
It is so odd to hear these women speak. Why will they not listen, and allow him to express his positions. They keep interrupting him, telling him his position, and arguing against their paranoia.
I was extremely happy when I stayed home with my children. When my boys grew up, I went to work in management and loved that job. Now women can’t stay at home even if they want to, because you can’t live on one income anymore. Men have no problem with doing household chores. When I went to work my husband and I split the chores. But my husband did do all the cooking….he was better at it. My children didn’t like my cooking lol. Most men do not want to be a teacher because of the low pay! There are a lot of male nurses…has she ever been to a hospital? Believe me I was in and out of hospital for years and I would say it is about 50/50 Now. The girl with the glasses needs to get out more to see who is doing what jobs.
The encouragement of women to join the workplace is exactly why one income isn't enough anymore. It's a basic supply and demand issue. More supply of labor means less pay for the labor. This was a major factor in the economic difficulties of the Soviet Union back in the 1920s. Even communists can't defeat supply and demand.

I agree with you that these feminist minded women have no understanding of themselves or even reality.
That's the kind of person everyone should avoid, because that's not a real partner, because it sucks now that society justifies women being this way in marriage, just flat out lazy, parasitic freeloaders.

I'm impressed that you were able to find a couple feminists that are easy on the eyes.
@@reliantncc1864 Why did the industries where women didn't enter had their payment drop ? Also, it isn't like women never did work before. You know what actually impactfuly changed ? CEO compensations.
"This was a major factor in the economic difficulties of the Soviet Union back in the 1920s"
What ? USSR had economic difficulties because they were a newly started country that had little to no industrial capacity.
Also, china is doing fine and they have one of the highest female workforce participations.
Hot take: The girls actually were very well spoken and made good points (do NOT agree with the OF btw) and Michael did not ‘destroy’ them by a long shot.
She needs to listen to Jordan Peterson site studies explaining exactly why men don’t go into nursing and teaching and why women don’t go into engineering and mathematics ( in general)
They talk about having more men teach and be nurses, but if men did that, they would complain about men taking over female professions.
The irony of using the term "meninists" as bad and "feminist" as good. Even their titles are implicitly biased and sexist.
WHY. CAN'T. THIS. GENERATION. OF. WOMEN. GET. A. CLUE?
A guy at my work was reprimanded for telling a female staff member that she has pretty eyes. So, yes, that’s happening.
