You have the very same set up! My F10 is a 2016 and the videos searched prior to yours were different in Variation! I used a Foxwell NT800 Series to put into service mode! Everything went smoothly! Thank you for the awesome DIY video!
Excellent video! Keep it up man just forgot to add that u need to check resorvoir after pushing piston back so u dont overflow the container sometimes u need to remove some.
Hello from estonia, thank you for sharing video about changing brake bads and disck, soon i have gonna do same thing to my bmw f11 and gonna do step by step with your video and maybe save a little money from workshop😅 Thank you again my friend and many many subscribers to you and likes too😁
Thanks for the video! Are you going to renew also the rubber protection from the rear shock absorbers? It looked torn apart in your video. If you do, please also make a video about this.
I'm wondering if we need take the brake pads & discs destinated for car with emergency brake assist (EBA) system ? the dimension & prices are different from the "standard version".
can you do this using some other software for electronic handbrake service mode? I have a iCarSoft CR pro and there is an option to set the electronic handbrake to service mode, but I am unsure if I should use it
Hey I have the same car and I've been thorough 4 sets of different disc and pads, both floating hub and monobloc on my F10, neither lasting for more than 3000 miles, any chance it could be the calliper?
hello, I'm also going to replace the discs, everyone says it's better to give oem because replacements are problems, I would like to know if there were any problems?
Good video, but of my experience, the spreader clamp was easier to use than brake caliper tool. Also, can't void scratches on painted calipers if you are alone 😃
Mine are HX9 too. Really set me back as I had everything prepared, car on stands, wheel off only to find I needed a 9mm not a 7mm as described. Mine’s a 535d.
do i need to have a voltage stabilizer/regulator or power supply when using ista p in service mode or i can turn of the ignition and then reset it ? i am asking because voltage stabilizers are crazy expensive and am not sure about the cheap ones on ebay,,
You must use either Ista+ or a bi directional car diagnostic to set the electonic park in service mode. After service set it back to normal. You will hear the electric engine move.
What is the fuel consumption in city, i am planning to buy f10 lci 530d rwd and i want to know how much is the consumption. Can i afford the 3.0d or i will must buy a 2.0d
I had a 2011 530d and now have a 2017 520d. I averaged 8,5 on the 530 and now 6,3 with the 520d. Do about 40k km per year, mostly highway. U should add easily 1,5-2 litres for city traffic
Ciao Francesco.
Yes, I do mine without the software and it can be done manually using a ratchet/socket to screw the piston out to the service position. Just google it online and there are a couple of videos on the procedure, I think Bavarian Auto has a video on it that is pretty good even though they no longer are in business.

Hi. Great Video. Can you confirm how the discs were? Did vibration disappear with solid discs?
Thanks for the video!
Are you going to renew also the rubber protection from the rear shock absorbers? It looked torn apart in your video.
If you do, please also make a video about this.
Thanks very much came in useful to myself and I'm sure thousands of others.
Great video! After replacing the brake pads and discs, I cannot reset the service light for the front brake pads. Do you know this problem! 😮

I have used Foxwell for BMW successfully to retract the EPB on my 2015 F10.

how is possible that guiding bolts on front brake caliper is HX9? On my 535i F11 2011

Hi, how are the discs after 7 months of usage?
Wheel torque value?
Ciao Francesco.
Surely it's bad practise to use Torque Wrench as Breaker Bar...

Very good video! Scary music though, reminds me of The Caretaker - Everywhere at the end of time
bada$$ video thank you much for posting and gereetings from new york
is there any other way to do the rare brakes without the software?

Yes - carpenter's clamps

I replaced recently mine front brakes ATE 348x36mm.. i have much bigger caliper than you on my 530d..
Maybe your car has the emergency brake assist (EBA) ?
Well done! ✅
