Here is why I DONT have a ladder. 1) I don't want psycho's climbing my van in the middle of the night. 2) My kayak lives on the roof of my van 24/7/365. I want it to be as hard as possible for a potential thief to get to it. It's 17 feet long, it would be hard to steal...but still... 3) I can climb the back of my van. Using the bed platform and the top door hinge to climb the back of my van. I used to carry a ladder, and never used it. So I stopped carrying it. and 4) YES! You must get a bidet attachment for your toilet. TOTAL game changer.
And my reason for not having a ladder is I want my van to look like an everyday delivery/work van not a motorhome stealth van…..but hey each to their own

You both climb up the ladder but don't show us the dangerous part of going from ladder to roof. That transitional movement is nowhere to be seen from ANY van build with these things, wonder why.
