There is no true peace, happiness, or freedom apart from Jesus. Everything you look to for peace, happiness, and freedom, short of Jesus, is an empty illusion, and will eventually disappoint you. Repent and turn to him for life and satisfaction.

    • @Roller_Ghoster

@@matthewdyer2926 that is your choice and your way of life. I know plenty of decent, honest and hardworking people that, like me arent religious. I try to live my life by being grateful for what I have, caring for those around me and I'm thinking of volunteering my time for the welfare of others. I plan to be good in this lifetime and not be pre occupied with something that in my mind may not exist. But that's another argument for another day. Take care.

@@Roller_Ghoster "Whatever is not from faith is sin."
"No one is righteous, no, not one."
Apart from God, there are no "decent people". Your good works are self-righteousness. Your volunteering will be a carnal endeavor that bolsters your own pride and temporarily pacifies a guilty conscience, and nothing more.
What is "in your mind that may not exist" has no bearing on reality. The reality is that "all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God". Your disbelief will not be an excuse on the day of judgement. You are at enmity with a wrathful, all-powerful God, and he has extended to you a chance to be reconciled to him as a son rather than an enemy, through his Son Jesus Christ who died to pay your debt of sin. If you reject him, you will have a horrifying eternity regardless of what you do to numb and pacify your guilty conscience. This life is your one chance to turn to Jesus and be saved, and yes, you desperately need a savior.
Leave your rebellion behind, it will only lead to an eternity of horror. Jesus Christ "stands at the door and knocks". If you reject him, you will regret it bitterly for eternity. If you repent of your sin and turn to Christ, you will have life and have it abundantly, in paradise with the best, most beautiful, glorious being in existence.

@@matthewdyer2926 you are not morally superior to atheists no matter what you say. Christianity has stolen from other cultures. Take the Argha Noah which was an ancient Egyptian name for the flooding of the Nile. Halloween, Easter and Christmas have their origins in European pagan culture when spreading christianity borrowed these as it became the dominant force of religious expression. I came on here to Express my sympathies to the passing of a fellow human being and not to be small talked and intimated by a unevolved meat head like you. I know true Christians who would be embarrassed to be associated with loud mouth lunatics like you. Good day asshole.

    • @matthewdyer2926
      @matthewdyer2926 4 роки тому

@@Roller_Ghoster Of course I'm not morally superior! Where would you get that absurd idea? The _only_ difference between you and I is that I am penitent and forgiven because of God's grace through Christ, and you deny that you even need forgiveness.
You can insult me all the day long, and any name you call me will probably be accurate, though the only offense I have done to you is tell you the truth. The Bible says the truth is offensive to those who are perishing. You have confirmed this.
The only thing I will point out, and that for your good, is that atheism does not allow for morality. There is no good and evil, right and wrong without the existence of God to say which is which; without God, your "morality" is subjective and relative, and it is abject nonsense for an atheist like you to make any moral claims with no basis for the existence of morality. To you, we are all stardust, the products of random, meaningless chance; "expressing your sympathies" has no meaning or purpose, because life and death have no meaning or purpose according to your own worldview. I hope you are able to see the silliness of your beliefs, and that you are led someday to the truth.

I have been tempted or thought about suicide for years now.
My main problem with it is that committing suicide puts you in the same boat as Jezebel and Judas Iscariot.
Every time I think I am going to suffer the same fate as Judas it stops me from suicide.
However, I am not sure if I am strong enough to endure what Job went through.
So this proves that my Heart is still very hard and needs more intervention from the Lord.

My dear friend! With the recent epidemic of suicide both in the public eye and in my personal life, my heart has been heavily breaking for people who are suicidal. I cannot claim to be an expert in this area, but I do know that God’s heart is breaking for it as well and I cant just sit idly by without attempting to help my fellow brothers and sisters who struggle with depression and suicidal thoughts. I love you, I’m praying for you and God has not forgotten you or abandoned you. I am convinced that our current suffering pales in comparison to the eternity of rewards that Christ has for us in the age to come. Keep believing, persevere, hold on and trust in the Name of Jesus! He is a fortified tower that we can find safety in as His children. If you have the time, I encourage you to read John 15-17 today as a reminder to you how much Jesus loves and cares about you. He prayed for you to the Father. He had you in mind while He ensures His suffering on the cross. JESUS CHRIST LOVES YOU! And so do I.

One who is a christian with those thoughts spends every moment of every day praying and pleading with God. For some, they just can't take the trials and struggles and pain any longer. It's not about how close they are with God at all. It's not about judging someone and telling them they need a new heart?? Mega churches encourage showmanship and put huge pressure on the speaker. As Christians, we should have church services and small gatherings where we can be more intimate in conversation with fewer people so we're building strong connections with people. We're much more lonely in crowds. I don't know what caused Jarrids pain, but the feeling of isolation and loneliness is prevalent in our society.

    • @johnfreeman9766
      @johnfreeman9766 4 роки тому +4

It isn't the size of the crowd that is the issue. It is the message. Many of these mega churches simply do not preach the gospel. They only preach a bastardized or watered down version that is man centered. Most of these churches preach moralistic theraputic diesm. Moralistic do the right thing and you will have a good life; Therapeutic focused on self and feelings. Deism a mere acknowledgement that there is a God. This is not the gospel. The gospel is this: God is infinitely righteous and infinitely holy. All have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. No one does right not even one. You stand as an enemy of God and subject to his righteous wrath for your sin. Yet while you where still his enemy he sent his son to suffer and die in your place for every sin you have ever done or ever will do. So that you can be reconciled back to him. Not because we deserved it but for his own good pleasure because he is sovereign over all. The true gospel is a call to repent and believe in Jesus Christ. A lot of these mega churches do not preach the gospel because the gospel isn't popular in the world. They want worldly acceptance. They want growth and large attendance so they compromise and fill the pews with goats instead of sheep.

Bless his heart. Sometimes we as Christian's carry the pain that we see others going through and it hurts us.😢 I've never heard of Jarrod Wilson until early this morning. He was a young man of God. That is the most beautiful thing in this world to me! I would like to say this. Jarrid was not weak because they say that he committed suicide. To me, it meant that he was truly choosen by God. To be choosen by God means that you can feel what others cannot feel. You love like no others can love. You can see and hear what others cannot. This world has become so wicked. And everyone is so greedy now. It makes you want to give up. I'm happy to see that Jarrid had a family that loves him very much. I pray that God will cover them with peace. I pray that they can continue to thrive in the absence of Jarrid. Rest in peace my brother in Christ 😔♥️

I don't claim to know exactly what is happening to people who committed suicide. I am not God, our Creator. What I do need to do is teach that God Said that we must not try to kill ourselves, encourage people lovingly not to do it, and don't attempt it ourselves.

The problem was evident in one of his final tweets:
"Loving Jesus doesn't always cure anxiety, depression, and suicidal thoughts."
He is correct. We do not have the capacity to "love Jesus," for it isn't even possible, not even scriptural does the Bible mention us "loving Jesus."
Jesus first loved us by being the sacrifice on the cross, and it is a reaction to that sacrifice that we are able to overcome anxiety, & depression, and suicidal thoughts, not the other way around.
Did Abraham come out of Ur of the Chaldees because he loved Lord?
    No
Did Noah build an ark because he loved the Lord?

Did Moses deliver Israel out of the house of bondage (Egypt) cause he loved the Lord?

The Lord called Abraham out of Ur, Noah to build an ark, and Moses to deliver His people. They weren't all walking around trying to get close to the Lord, but we're responding to the Lord using them in a mighty way.
The Lord wants to use each one of you in a mighty way, to be used for His purpose.
"Loving Jesus" is a Christian way of saying "I love the Lord" rather than the other way around. It is a self-absorbed & self-righteous of a spirit that dominates the churches.
Get out from under that deception, for we are in the last days, and to walk around "loving Jesus" carries no weight to the enemy desiring to destroy your soul.
Pray for this man's soul, but do not fall to the enemy like this. Church & it's desires to fit into this world have led it down. This tragedy is now leaving imprints all across believers & unbelievers minds.
This is a testimony of despair and hopelessness, not a testimony of someone who is ready to "conquer all things through Christ."
Wake up Church, put Christ first, & come out of the world...

What I see here is weak theology. No where does Jesus say that people will be attracted to us because of our deeds. The world will always hate TRUE Christians. Many different belief systems say the same thing about loving people and doing good deeds. Open the Bible to see what makes Christianity different. If the world likes you there is probably something wrong. I see a man who is about himself and his presence on stage and not about any real exposition.

The elephant in the room is that we all do judge whether we admit it or not it's human nature. And, thankfully I don't have those thoughts, but, if I did, the #1 thing that would stop me is the thought of robbing my children of a father. Sorry, that's selfish. Comes to rip out what God has sewn into the heart. He is trying his best to stop Gods work. His wife will continue on with his legacy.. Suicide is not the answer but some can truly love yet still see so much pain in others and can't seem to find a way to fix everyone's problems along with their own. I'm sure he is with the lord, They have accepted Jesus as Lord and saviour, and that's all they needed, and to be witness to others. Samson committed suicide and many other men of God also in the Bible. Jesus never mentioned hell when they asked Him if He was going to kill Himself. Only those that don't believe in Christ doesn't go to be heaven.
      John 8
21 Then Jesus said to them again, “I am going away, and you will seek Me, and will die in your sin. Where I go you cannot come.”
22 So the Jews said, “Will He kill Himself, because He says, ‘Where I go you cannot come’?”
23 And He said to them, “You are from beneath; I am from above. You are of this world; I am not of this world. 24 Therefore I said to you that you will die in your sins; for if you do not believe that I am He, you will die in your sins.”
