I probably won't do a direct comparison video between the two simply because they're largely the same as far as performances concerned. Basically with this you get everything that the V6 is plus the 7075 shock towers aluminum front and rear bulkheads aluminum tower to chassis braces aluminum servo mount 7075 Ackerman bar and the upgraded upper front hinge pin mount. That's really all there is to the comparison though because while those are all more durable they're not really going to change how the car performs much
@PigglyWigglyDeluxe Yeah it can be a little less user friendly sometimes than TQI. Honestly I prefer the simplicity of the new DSC systems in the lower end cars. It only affects the steering has just a few distinct levels and seems to work great.
I still cant believe horizon didnt send you the customer survey. They definitely listened to it. I remember selecting some options to see parts like this on new products. They definitely listened.
@DoRC i used to all the time until recently. Horizon has definitely listened. If there is any truck you need to check out, its the fms fsc24 chaser! Its amazing! I just brushless swapped mine with a 16bl30 6500kv 2030 quicrun system. It handles great, its tough, and its fast. They also updated the 2 speed transmission, every gear is steel and they all ride on bearings now. It handles like a mojave grom but in 1/24 scale!
I think you could do most of the updates for that price especially if you buy the stuff on Jenny's. Really the most important parts are the hubs and knuckles
The difference between Arrma and Traxxas is that Arrma is constantly listening to their customers and making improvements every now and then, while Traxxas releases a car and that's it for some 10 years at least. I have the original EXB roller and the thing is a beast. Never broke anything on it, though im not a hard basher.
Wish Horizon had Traxxas’ customer service though. Horizon’s phone lines have been down all week. The message says it’s “due to unforeseen circumstances” but I think there’s just nobody in the office.
100% agree with you. Got the same message over three weeks ago. "Live Chat" is worthless. Bad esc in new Typhon. Had to send an email and several days later got a response. Horizon did mail me a new ESC. So for that I give them props. However, they need to step up customer service to Traxxas level. It is my first Arrma vehicle and I do like it, but without overhauling their customer service, I am not sure about ordering again through them. @@JPTulo
I tend to agree. Traxxas often leaves me scratching my head while Arrma makes me feel like they are responding to what people want. I know that some people won't be thrilled about the removal of the AVC receiver but my suspicion is that most people weren't using the AVC which is why they ended up getting rid of it but that's just a guess
Last 4 years traxxas updated. 3s cars with heavy duty kits. New versions of the trx4s. New versions of the x maxx. They put the wide kit on the maxx. They put belted tyres on the 3 or 4 year old sledge (and xmaxx). The updated the brushed crap to 2s brushless. The converted most cars to clipless bodies. And probably did some other stuff i forgot.
Great video as always 👍 I have the EXB V2, I’m so surprised this V3 came out already. What would be the main things you reckon one should upgrade from V2?
I probably wouldn't really strongly recommend anything unless you find your breaking stuff. The hubs and knuckles are definitely stronger I think the clipless body is nice with the stronger body mounts The upgraded battery strap definitely is better but overall it's an incremental update
if everyone is wondering yes the new steering blocks and pillow ball fit on the v5 kraton and notorious. you do have to get new steering long balls but everything works.
5:11 You said “It’s not been updated yet”. So are you saying this truck doesn’t have the new ESC version that the standard v6 truck got? Or are you saying the website has not been updated with the new version available to download?
You actually read the manuals 😅. Bloody arrma exb looks pretty good , can only hope corally bring out some xtr rigs or I might have to turn to the dark side lol & I See spectrum have new tx/rx looks good too don’t get much wrong arrma do they
Maybe but surprisingly submersion is actually a higher rating in the IP scale than jets of water so whereas you might get lucky and hit just the right spot with a jet of water I suspect having it completely underwater gives you a more thorough test of its waterproofness
Yeah if you already have the V6 and you aren't either bashing really hardcore or aren't the kind of person that just upgrades all this stuff anyway This new EXB version doesn't really have a lot to offer that you don't already have.
I'd like your opinion. I noticed that on Team Corally cars they put a washer that captures the corner of the arm. This, in my experience, helps mitigate that break that often happens on Arrmas. But I'm not sure that tge washer is the reason. It seems to be why. But again not sure.
Yes having that reinforcement definitely helps prevent the arms from splitting in that area. This could definitely be done on these trucks but I suspect they aren't making the arms stronger because if they did the next thing up the line would end up breaking and it would result in a cascade of necessary upgrades. I'm sure they'll do it eventually but I don't think it's as simple as just making the arms stronger
You should water test the esc too… I’ve mildly splashed Spektrum ESCs and had them die…. I mean like a couple runs through a puddle and it was gone for good 😐
@@DoRC shocktower? isn't the same EXb as we know em? i' building EXB on my V4 and got the EXB towers. I love this about these Arrma platforms. You can mix and match parts, it's so cool. I got the V6 dirt guards to get rid of the old "flaps" that was really obstructive when working on the car. and the new center brace is really a step up. :)
$50 more expensive than the now old V2...and they removed the better transmitter, way to go Arrma, way to go. Im guessing they will silently "release" the new firmware when they fit the same electronics in other 6S cars, basically the Big Rock 6S, the only one missing it from the bashing lineup.
Yeah I think that is a bit of a bummer though I wonder how many people actually used the AVC. I suspect if it was a really popular feature they probably wouldn't have gotten rid of it.
You don't need as much power to do a standing backflip as you think. You can go the Traxxas route with a short wheelbase and high center of gravity that makes an RC want to flip over on it's back like an MMA fighter that doesn't know how to throw strikes.
Oh yeah for sure. A short wheelbase high center of gravity truck will backflip easily but a long wheelbase truggy often won't which is what makes this impressive to me.
At least they kept a 3 part elecs system. If they put in the 3 in 1 we wiuld have had to replace the whole lot of it.😂 BUT having the rx replaceable most of us will put our own remote in it anyway
Yeah I think they know their demographic and realize that people who buy something like this are a lot more likely to mess with the electronics than someone who buys a 3S granite
Hey brotha, great review as always. I have the old exb roller m2c'd up with amazon aluminum diff housings. Im hoping the Notorious gets this exb treatment. I'd buy it i think! Think they'd ever make a Typhon exb?
I'm not sure. I think a notorious EXB is likely given that we've seen EXB versions of that type of truck before. The Typhon would just depend on if they thought they could sell them. The TLR type on is kind of already an EXB so they may avoid creating a specific EXB just to prevent being in competition with themselves.
@@DoRC ah I forgot about the tlr. That makes sense. It is basically an exb. Derp! Well bring on the notorious baby! I've got the 4s outcast v2.5 and outcast 8s v1. I need that guy in the middle 🤣
Yeah I hope they come out with an updated version. I think it probably has a smaller demographic than some other models but the people that like it really like it
I have pounded the snot out of my V6 Kraton, if this is tougher than that it's a unit. I'm interested in how the rear spoiler attaches to this one, as it's the one thing that almost always breaks when I take the normal Kraton out, and may see if I can put the EXB mounting system in instead.
It depends on what you mean by better. Performance-wise they're going to be nearly identical. Durability-wise this thing's going to have the V6 RTR beaten just because it has 775 towers and whatnot but whether or not that is something you need just depends on the kind of bashing you do. If you bash really hard or you're the kind of person that would upgrade that stuff anyway go for the EXP If not the V6 is a great truck
Also, sorry folks forgot to ask this question, saw a cool little mini but it had an aluminum Tower to tower brace but hooks into composite towers, are the towers now the weak point as it hits out of the box 30 to 35 MPH, I feel like this is a dependent answer of if you upgrade to a faster or more powerful motor ESC combo and the supporting bits, I saw it jump and it did well for its size, but at half the price of a mohave Grom, well you get what you pay for, so I wonder, if I remember right "if" i remember right, didn't the Tower to tower brace cause the tower to break if hit hard enough on the first few iterations on the larger scale RCs?
Unfortunately there's no single way to answer this. The tower to tower brace will technically put more force on the tower because the chassis can't bend as easily but whether or not that actually is going to cause a problem just depends on how it's built.
I'm not sure if we'll see an outcast or if they're just going to stick with the notorious for the V6 version. They might be reserving the outcast for the EXB but I don't know.
I wonder if youll do a review for the hobao sste😅 My buddy is persuading me not to build from roller and just get rtr because my buddy thinks im jumping too much. I currently run x12s and omni t. But i still want the sste and build it
I probably wouldn't do a review of it unless a new version comes out. If it does though I'll definitely be jumping on it! The SSTE is a good truggy though For serious bashing I would say at this point it feels like it's falling a bit behind. For $100 more than the SSTE you can get the V6 RTR Kraton and I think it's a lot more capable.
I haven't and I probably won't. It's similar enough to the granite that between the review I did on it and on the vortex the big rock would probably end up just being redundant. Really with the big rock you're just getting something that's a little bit bigger and a little bit more stable than the granite.
I’ll take one please. Maybe a slider off eBay because I want different electronics, and I don’t like the whole new 90’s design on the bodies. At all, so a clear body as well. They need to bring back the EXB sliders when they didn’t come with electronics.
The question is… does the added weight make the truck LESS durable (like the xmaxx ultimate)…. Do you really need those aluminum bulkheads or are they just added weight
People do break the plastic bulkheads from time to time and you'd be surprised at how little weight it's actually adding. If you've ever seen my crazy upgrades even doing all of that usually only adds like 7% to the total weight of the vehicle with battery. Looking at the weight between the V6 and the EXB it looks like the EXB adds about 3 oz which is less than a 3% weight difference.
I still don't know one thing, is the esc and motor a sensored type? I have the exb v2 and i dont think so though i read somewhere mentions that it is a sensored brushless set. Can you advise? Thanks!
Both the motor and the ESC on all of these 6s trucks are sensorless. Most bashing vehicles are going to have sensorless setups because the sensored system is really only advantageous at low speed and most people don't drive bashers around at low speed.
V2 > “V6” not a whole lot of worthwhile upgrades over the v2. Clipless body, updated carriers, updated side guards, downgraded receiver, $50 more, that’s about it.
The full list would be the body the front and rear hubs the toe links the battery strap and the side pods. Personally I think the hubs and knuckles and most importantly the body mounts are the best upgrades. The old body mounts were pretty problematic at least for me and these new ones seem basically bulletproof. Overall though if you already have the V2 this could be a pretty tough sell.
@Facts-R-Real Yeah I suspect that's probably horizon's view on it. Most people that want a better transmitter will probably just be using what they already have anyway so the DX3 probably wasn't really getting utilized that much
Ummmm my question and I admit I have not done the research yet, probably won't just no need, I have no money for a V6 kraton but can you interchange EXB parts 6:18 with v6, also what is the price difference, more of a just want to know and asking for others that are in a place for buying a Exb or V6
Yes. Anything that's on the EXB is a direct swap onto the V6 trucks. The EXB is $150 more and for that $150 you get $775 shock towers aluminum bulkheads aluminum tower to chassis braces and aluminum servo Mount the upgraded upper hinge pin mount a 7075 Ackerman bar and something else I'm forgetting
@@DoRChmmmm okay thank you sir, I admit I am totally being lazy but I have been already asked and I don't have the RC's so hard to answer, I love RCs but I don't do it as a job so I have enough numbers going through my mind 😂😂
About 7 years ago when I started my channel I sat down for about 5 minutes trying to think of a placeholder name until I could think of something better. Do RC is what I came up with. It's kind of like my profile picture. I never meant for it to be permanent but here we are :-)
Actually they decided to call it the V6. If you look at the model number toward the end it says V6 which is what it designator is. I think it's smart to do this for consistency so that we don't have a bunch of different versions floating around the same platform
@PigglyWigglyDeluxe I definitely understand where you're coming from but in the long run I think it'll be a good thing. Having different vehicles that are on the same revision of a platform with different version numbers is pretty confusing on its own and after the initial confusion of this change I think it'll be a lot more simple.
I came here to say this. But in hindsight, it makes sense from the point of view aligning it with the non EXB version. I.E. it’s not the sixth version of the 6s Kraton EXB. It’s the sixth version of the 6s Kraton, and it has an EXB trim. They’re washing away the fact that it’s the third variation of EXB though. On a side note, I think I recognize the piggy from Reddit 👋
I don’t get why arrma is adding features to lower end models (DSC with the 223s line) and removing them from the higher end cars. My guess is that spektrum sees Jenny’s RC dramatically undercutting the price of their radios and rather than actually try to sell them for a more fair price, they’re pulling them off of popular models and are hoping you pair their exorbitant prices
DAMN! do i bless someone less fortunate and sell my EXB V2 that's not even a year old to get this one, or just buy this and have two, or wait to see if they announce something else.
I think if you already have the EXB V2 This could be a hard sell for an upgrade. It does have some pretty good updates but I don't think it's going to be that much more durable or handle that much better than the previous version. Obviously it does have cool stuff on it though so if you're the kind of person that likes the latest and greatest I'd say go for it!
@@JPTulo Yeah that shouldn't be a problem. You'll need to get the updated rear tower as well as the rear wing mount because the rear body mounts use different holes and the rear tower is designed differently for the rear wing mount but other than that it should fit
I'd say it depends. Out of the box performance is going to be nearly identical between the two so it ultimately is up to whether or not you think you would end up upgrading the stuff that you'll get on the EXB version. If you're the kind of person that's going to throw towers and races into it right away then I'd say just get the EXB because it's not really going to cost you much if any more money.
@@DoRC Thanks for the fast response. I just want something that will hold up to some basic bashing, nothing crazy. I don't see any need to upgrade to the aluminum bulk heads and braces, if they are really not needed for average use.
@@slapshot454 I have the V6 and just added the exb shock towers and braces but just for looks. Watch thunder rc videos of his kraton 6s v6. Its all stock and he bashes it hard for a month so far jumping it really high and hard. Takes a beating and keeps on going. I have 22 rc cars, trucks and this kraton v6 is one of my favorites bone stock. You dont need the exb bulk heads imho. They just look good. Plus I think the body colors look better on the normal v6
Am supposing these update rc's in this case the kraton 6s, are meant for anyone who currently not have kraton 6s or any 6s truck, or if theirs is really old and not upgraded. Its quite close to the rtr 6s kraton a short while back
Yes basically what this does is combine the updates of the V6 with the upgrades of the EXB. If you already have a previous generation EXB or bought the V6 there's not a huge amount of advantage here but it is nice to see all of the updates and upgrades combined.
@Joe-h1e Just go to the Arrma homepage. They don't call it the V6 as I don't usually do versioning but it's listed right on the front page of the arrma site
I think it just depends on what you're looking for. If you're the kind of person that is going to take the V6 and then put a bunch of these upgrades on it I would just go ahead and buy this It's already done and you get a decent amount for your 150 extra dollars. If you're the kind of person that will buy the V6 and run it exactly how it is just go with the V6 as the actual performance between the two is nearly identical.
That's definitely an option. That being said if you're going to buy things like the shock towers Tower to chassis brace servo Mount upper hinge pins etc You may very well end up spending more than you would for this already put together.
If you hadn't already bought it I'd say this is definitely better but since you already have it you're not missing out on that much. The clipless body is nice though some people don't like it The hubs and knuckles are an improvement but the old ones were decent etc. The updated programming on the ESC definitely makes it better but ultimately I don't think you're missing out on that much.
@DaRevrin I think it depends on how you look at it. The old clipped body mounts weren't the best. I frequently would rip the screws out of them and these new ones don't have that problem. The clipless system works pretty well though when dirt gets in the posts it can jam them up a bit. Overall I'd say it's subjective. I personally prefer the clipless system but I can see why people would like the clips too.
@@DoRC i haven’t had any issues with the screws coming out of the body mounts but if i do i will probably drill them out and putting longer screws with a nut on the end
If you already own the V2 this could be a tough sell but there are quite a few things updated on it. The new body new body mounts steering links front and rear hubs with larger bearings rear skid plate battery strap and something else I'm forgetting makes for a pretty decent list.
Awesome drill down on the new EXB! The best on YT by far in regards. Man, Arrma is just destroying the competition I feel. The V5 based EXB was already the best basher on the market. Game over now with the V6 EXB. I like the Kagama, but it lacks in the durability department and honestly for the class, the Sludge is the DEI rep of the 6s basher segment. Overpriced and under performing, LOL.
@@kylehewitt3108 Maybe. But it's still the best RTR 6s on the market. Don't get me wrong, I still prefer a kit. Such as an ET48, but for the lazy Uber Eats generation it doesn't get any better, LOL.
I think the Kagama is still a very strong contender but in the price range the V6 just edges it out. Obviously this EXB is superior but it's also a fair amount more expensive.
@@DoRC I agree. I would likely choose the BLX if I were shopping for a 6s basher. I've never had a composite gearbox fail. At $750 I feel like they should have included the DX3, I never use DEI, I mean AVC either.
Oh I'm going to throw a lot more than 500 at it :-) That being said it really isn't necessary as this thing is very good right out of the box. 750 is a lot of money but if you consider the fact that you can buy this upgrade literally nothing on it and go do serious bashing it's not that bad. It doesn't take a ton of upgrades to a lower end model to end up adding up to at least 750.
You have no idea what you’re talking about babbling on about straight cut gears vs helical. Stick to subjects you have a clue about instead of making a fool of yourself.
I appreciate your feedback but I always do research on these things before talking about them to make sure I understand correctly. There's plenty of information available online about this topic. For a given size helical gears are stronger but straight cut gears don't have an axial component to their force which makes them preferable for use in some situations like racing.
Chill out mate, bit of an over reaction.. Also didn't help that you didn't offer a correction. But that said, straight cut is preferred when efficiency is important, like racing.
Correct. The main advantage of straight cut gears is the lack of axial force component. This is beneficial in racing because without that axial component nothing needs to be created to deal with that axial component. This often means that a larger gear can be used and the entire system is more simple and more efficient.
i'am very new to the rc community, but i love your vids man. i got my first rc (mjx 14303) and i absolutely love this thing! maybe i am not gonna buy something really expensive, but i think i will stay in this community for longer, i just love to drive things lol!

I probably won't do a direct comparison video between the two simply because they're largely the same as far as performances concerned. My EXB V2 had receiver issues, and I didn’t like the handling with AVC turned up, so I switched mine to the SR315 and haven’t had an issue since 👍
AVC is a fickle beast. This radio system is the easy route, I wish they made AVC as user friendly as TQi

I was getting worried of how close you were to the ramp, close to that really fast flying piece of metal LoL
Yep I've hit myself a few times. Got to get that shot though :-)

If you don't have a Kraton already this is the one to get!
Time to pre-order for my bday this month 😅
Nice review my guy
5:11 You said “It’s not been updated yet”. So are you saying this truck doesn’t have the new ESC version that the standard v6 truck got? Or are you saying the website has not been updated with the new version available to download?
Sorry if that was ambiguous. I meant that the firmware version on the website is not updated yet. The V6 EXB does come with the updated firmware
@@DoRCOk it took me a few listens to make sense of it, but that’s makes sense and is what would be expected thanks for clarifying.
You actually read the manuals 😅. Bloody arrma exb looks pretty good , can only hope corally bring out some xtr rigs or I might have to turn to the dark side lol & I See spectrum have new tx/rx looks good too don’t get much wrong arrma do they
I generally wouldn't read the manuals for my own sake but for the sake of being thorough in the review I like to see what they have to say in them.
A better test for a servo in my opinion would be a powerful hose, would test the seals a bit more but hey, at least they didnt typo acid proof.
Maybe but surprisingly submersion is actually a higher rating in the IP scale than jets of water so whereas you might get lucky and hit just the right spot with a jet of water I suspect having it completely underwater gives you a more thorough test of its waterproofness
I love aluminum tacos, so 6061 for me 😅!
I just hate getting it out of my teeth when you're done you know
I’m still happy with my v6 purchase.. the exb does look great but not enough to justify selling one to buy this
Yeah if you already have the V6 and you aren't either bashing really hardcore or aren't the kind of person that just upgrades all this stuff anyway This new EXB version doesn't really have a lot to offer that you don't already have.
I mean like a couple runs through a puddle and it was gone for good 😐
Your wish is my command :-)
freaking awesome! :) Gonna build the V6 body on my V4/V5
Shouldn't be a problem. You will need the new rear shock tower as well as rear wing mount.
@HornieCow similar yes but the body mount holes are in different locations. You might be able to just drill the one you have now but I'm not sure
@@DoRC oh... thanks man. thought it was straight swap. :)
@@DoRC Rear shock tower has the same part number as the EXB V2
$50 more expensive than the now old V2...and they removed the better transmitter, way to go Arrma, way to go.
Im guessing they will silently "release" the new firmware when they fit the same electronics in other 6S cars, basically the Big Rock 6S, the only one missing it from the bashing lineup.
Yeah I think that is a bit of a bummer though I wonder how many people actually used the AVC. I suspect if it was a really popular feature they probably wouldn't have gotten rid of it.
@@DoRCjudging by the comments, a bunch
You got one!??!
Yessss!
Yessir!
Oh and bring back the talion! I joined the hobby too late to acquire one and used ones are too much $$!
@@DoRC ah I forgot about the tlr. That makes sense. It is basically an exb. Derp!

Yeah I hope they come out with an updated version. I think it probably has a smaller demographic than some other models but the people that like it really like it
@@DoRC really appreciate your opinion on that! never thought about it this way :D
I have pounded the snot out of my V6 Kraton, if this is tougher than that it's a unit. I'm interested in how the rear spoiler attaches to this one, as it's the one thing that almost always breaks when I take the normal Kraton out, and may see if I can put the EXB mounting system in instead.
The Kraton doesn't need AVC !
In general I tend to agree. It's a pretty stable truck. That's probably why they got rid of it.
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
How much better would you say this is VS the kraton v6 6s
It depends on what you mean by better. Performance-wise they're going to be nearly identical. Durability-wise this thing's going to have the V6 RTR beaten just because it has 775 towers and whatnot but whether or not that is something you need just depends on the kind of bashing you do. If you bash really hard or you're the kind of person that would upgrade that stuff anyway go for the EXP If not the V6 is a great truck
@DoRC appreciate this alot!
Incredible video as well 🎉
Also, sorry folks forgot to ask this question, saw a cool little mini but it had an aluminum Tower to tower brace but hooks into composite towers, are the towers now the weak point as it hits out of the box 30 to 35 MPH, I feel like this is a dependent answer of if you upgrade to a faster or more powerful motor ESC combo and the supporting bits, I saw it jump and it did well for its size, but at half the price of a mohave Grom, well you get what you pay for, so I wonder, if I remember right "if" i remember right, didn't the Tower to tower brace cause the tower to break if hit hard enough on the first few iterations on the larger scale RCs?
Unfortunately there's no single way to answer this. The tower to tower brace will technically put more force on the tower because the chassis can't bend as easily but whether or not that actually is going to cause a problem just depends on how it's built.
I'm waiting on the latest Outcast model. It's due for a update right?
I'm not sure if we'll see an outcast or if they're just going to stick with the notorious for the V6 version. They might be reserving the outcast for the EXB but I don't know.
I wonder if youll do a review for the hobao sste😅
My buddy is persuading me not to build from roller and just get rtr because my buddy thinks im jumping too much.
@@DoRC ok will add into consideration. Thank you! Ill bring it up to my buddy.
Hey you haven't done the review on bigrock 223 !!
I haven't and I probably won't. It's similar enough to the granite that between the review I did on it and on the vortex the big rock would probably end up just being redundant. Really with the big rock you're just getting something that's a little bit bigger and a little bit more stable than the granite.
when will the Kranon 8S upgrade come? Any idea please?
I haven't heard any information about a new version though they did update it relatively recently so I wouldn't expect to see one really soon.
When is this available?

I’ll take one please. Maybe a slider off eBay because I want different electronics, and I don’t like the whole new 90’s design on the bodies. At all, so a clear body as well. They need to bring back the EXB sliders when they didn’t come with electronics.
Yeah unfortunately I suspect we won't be seeing much in the way of rollers from Horizon. They seem to have gotten away from that
The question is… does the added weight make the truck LESS durable (like the xmaxx ultimate)….
No AVC? WTF!
I found the Kraton doesn’t need AVC must be the wide stance and low CG makes it stable
Yeah it's a bit of a bummer that they got rid of it. Personally I never really used it but if you do I can see it being disappointing.
@@DoRCI live and die by a gyro, I’m a bad driver lol

I still don't know one thing, is the esc and motor a sensored type? I have the exb v2 and i dont think so though i read somewhere mentions that it is a sensored brushless set. Can you advise? Thanks!
Both the motor and the ESC on all of these 6s trucks are sensorless. Most bashing vehicles are going to have sensorless setups because the sensored system is really only advantageous at low speed and most people don't drive bashers around at low speed.
What is the weight difference between the BLX V6 and the EXB V3?
That would have been nice to see actually
The V6 weighs about 12.37 lb and the EXB weighs about 12.5 lb. They are close enough to where it's really not much of a concern

Most people that want a better transmitter will probably just be using what they already have anyway so the DX3 probably wasn't really getting utilized that much
Ummmm my question and I admit I have not done the research yet, probably won't just no need, I have no money for a V6 kraton but can you interchange EXB parts 6:18
with v6, also what is the price difference, more of a just want to know and asking for others that are in a place for buying a Exb or V6
Yes. Anything that's on the EXB is a direct swap onto the V6 trucks.

@@DoRCfair!
0:00 V3, not V6
Actually they decided to call it the V6. If you look at the model number toward the end it says V6 which is what it designator is.
I think it's smart to do this for consistency so that we don't have a bunch of different versions floating around the same platform
@@DoRCso confusing! It’s like when iPhone skipped over 9, we got the 8 then the X! So dumb
@@JPTuloyup that’s me! Same person. What’s up!
@@DoRCCan we adapt the older version with the clipless body posts? I hate messing with body pins.
@@JPTulo Yeah that shouldn't be a problem. You'll need to get the updated rear tower as well as the rear wing mount because the rear body mounts use different holes and the rear tower is designed differently for the rear wing mount but other than that it should fit
So in your opinion is this worth the extra $150 over the standard V6 RTR?
I'd say it depends. Out of the box performance is going to be nearly identical between the two so it ultimately is up to whether or not you think you would end up upgrading the stuff that you'll get on the EXB version. If you're the kind of person that's going to throw towers and races into it right away then I'd say just get the EXB because it's not really going to cost you much if any more money.

Your v1 exb is super solid. And I'd say the clipped body mounts still beats out this whole clipless design.
You have no idea what you’re talking about babbling on about straight cut gears vs helical. Stick to subjects you have a clue about instead of making a fool of yourself.
My dude chose violence this morning, wow. Chill
Damn did someone piss in your Cheerios this morning?
Correct. The main advantage of straight cut gears is the lack of axial force component. This is beneficial in racing because without that axial component nothing needs to be created to deal with that axial component. This often means that a larger gear can be used and the entire system is more simple and more efficient.
