this song makes me sad. i’ve always experienced one-sided love. it’s either people not reciprocating my feelings or me not being able to love them back, and when the first thing happens, i still want to make them happy. even when i’m their number two. the one they only talk to when there’s no one else, because i promised i would always be there for them. and i want to, i feel the urge to make them feel complete even if i know i will never be what they’re looking for. and then,,, then i experience what actual love feels like, and knowing someone loves you as much as you love them is so much scarier than one could think, because you have to take care of their heart as well. when things are one-sided, you don’t really mind breaking your own heart, right? but suddenly you Have To Care. you have to be okay in order for things to be okay between you and the other person. you have to try harder, not only for them but also for you, because seeing you broken would also hurt them. and it’s so scary, to know that you affect someone else’s feelings. to know that you are loved, that you’re finally number one.
