Horses " Hmong" breed, might look tiny, but they are strong as he'll as Arabians. To take care of a horse, cost thousands of dollars in US. She is trying to save money for the horse. As you see, she sell logs and bought proper food for the horse. Horses required specific food for specific labor. Racing Horses required different food from field Horses. Cleaning hoofs, showering and more, it's all showing trust and care for a horse. Among Horses are super strong that I've ever seen. However, I would suggest create a strolly or carriage or new blanket. Because Horses spines are very sensitive places. If it's sore, horse in tons of pain. Sometimes hard to recover. I agree. Most of those who share their wisdom here do not know the circumstances in Vietnam or the 'Hmong' horse breed. These commenters probably only know stable horses.
I am 80 years old and have lived my life in agriculture. And until three years ago I also had horses. My neighbor got my last two -Blue Belgians-. Otherwise I always had Hanoverians and Rhenish draft horses for work. Actually, I should know how to deal with it.
@Werner_L dear friend, you had the most huge horses breeds. They can even pull trees or trains. My favorite activities was with my horses are let them run wild free for few hours. Free spirit. Fresh grass. Then, they had showers and good delicious barber who cleaned them with me and hoofs too. I miss village life but I still have farm. It's not an easy job . As horse owners, we are one happy family.

Horse is an elegant animal, It's not suitable for carrying heavy loads, or, instead for pulling the cart.
Good work chopping the wood and your horse was able to carry a much better load than the Old Grey horse. Feed it up so it can put some weight on those rib bones 😊
Ms Toan, like i said to you the other day when you got this new horse, you need to worm him, (ivermectin) paste. You can see his ribs, he needs to put on condition with proper food apart from corn grain and banana leaves, You also need to get shoes put on him, and gelded (castrated), If i'm not mistaken he is a stallion...??
I’m not sure they know how to care for animals. They abuse their horses 🐴. They don’t feed them properly or it’s no wonder the horses are skinny. Terrible, Terrible
@@Zekeratt Sadly i have to agree with you. This seems to be common place throughout Asia. In particular Indonesia. One of the problems is they don't have feed stores that carry all the feeds & meds for horses like we do in the west. Second problem they don't have the money to buy the correct feed & meds that their horses need. You can point it out to them, however they just ignore you.
Heavy load, probably not good for the back. Take it easy with any loads.

This horse is not fit for this type of heavy labour. The pad underneath the saddle is just a thin blanket and the saddle and supports are wooden and not leather. This horse is not made for this type of work. It is being abused.

Interesting way of cutting firewood. The horse is rather tame. Horses can carry heavy loads actually. The horse's main diet is grass/hay. Please feed the horse lots of grass/hay.
Horses are not meant to carry heavy loads unless it’s a Clydesdale horse, and other big horse breeds, not the type of horse she has.

Thanks for the video. Please be careful feeding the corn. He could easily get colic and founder from too much corn. If you can get him on grass, he can maintain himself for free. It’s harder to overfeed oats than corn. PLEASE get him a real saddle pad. I don’t believe you are overburdening him but he needs padding under the saddle or anywhere the baskets touch him. Sorry I don’t know if you read these.. I’m sure all the help is overwhelming.

She is not mistreating her horse. The load is evenly loaded and it's onboth sides of its back. There isn't a thing on his back. You don't know how strong a horse is do you? Have you ever seen the little burros carry their loads. Those burros don't weigh 300 lbs I'll bet but they carry loads that weigh probably 1000 lbs with no trouble. This horse is fine.
Apart from the inadequate blanket being used as padding, she is doing a good job for this type of horse.
