If I’m not mistaken, and spoilers ahead: The Elmas and Lorn both seem to think that Greg’s create potato spell should not be possible, and that they’ve never seen anything like it. They also think that Greg has been cursed somehow, which is the reason why he can only cast that one spell. The Elmas have been able to identify a curse pretty quickly before. This would imply that if Greg could lift his curse, he might actually be able to do all kinds of other things with magic that is normally impossible. Greg could be one of the most powerful mages in history if things shake out right.
I just realize how zoran likes to mix both the grin and goons camapain in these small details. Like the catboy being the one in the noble party and chonkus being just a scape goat for he was in the scene when the amalgamation attacked, impliying that the tyrant guild is trying to hide the amalgamation attack for some reason. Damn thats good world building
But the rotgrind gang comes back to the city after the parade has ended kronch tells them so, and this is happening not even 1 day after the parade so it is impossible since they have not returned from the swamp yet
I love this show and I love Froggy’s especially chaotic energy this session. Actually all of the Goons are great at playing characters who can be silly and kind of dumb at times without it taking away from emotional roleplay or derailing the campaign.
Two things stand out to me from this episode… One, that truly was one tough choice to be made, but the party approached it smartly, at least in my opinion 😉Second, I very much like that even with a concept that should be wholesome / good, it still gets creepy vibe, suitable for this setting, that soul fork was just *chef’s kiss* 🤩
1:21:35 Heart: “We’re so famous, we’re in-famous!” I will be so happy if anyone gets that reference, but that whole scene just played out in my head just now, but with the Goons.
Three Amigos, right? They receive the telegram asking for help, unfortunately none of them actually know what infamous means, a word chosen by telegram operator to cut down on message length to reduce the cost of the message, which is substituted for a string of words like vile, evil (should have just used this really). I think Martin Shorts character says “he’s so famous, he’s in-famous” and beings the other 2 main characters to the conclusion that El Guapo wants to pay them for a performance, rather than the local townsfolk begging for help against the tyrant El Guapo. Then again, it could be from some movie that came before, and Three Amigo’s just reused the joke
I think he’s probably more of an antagonist, but not from malice towards the party just because he’s got such a different worldview than normal people. He doesn’t think of life and death in the same way, nor does he exactly seem to have the same definitions of good and evil. But he does seem to be doing what he thinks of as good.
Even though the wizerd is technically responsible for being a idiot for trying to bring him back inside the tavern and causing the roof to be broken, tellem is charged for it?. Shouldnt have the wizerd been the only one charged because he was the one that casued the roof to be broken to begin with? Why was tellem even held responsible for somthing he didnt even have a part in.
Love the series, Chief. I've watched basically every PF video you've put out. I don't like the new titles. It feels really weird and out of touch. Like an attempt at gaining veiwers outside of your audience -- like an almost "clickbait" title ( or at least that kind of "feel" to it. If that makes sense.) Title the episode with things that ACTUALLY pertain to it's contents -- give it a touch of flavor and make it cool. Nothing generic like this, brother. The episodes themselves have always been of fairly high production value and I genuinely find them enjoyable to watch. But when I saw this episode in my feed... it didn't even register to me that this was freaking ROTGOONS, dude! Please. Set it straight.
@47slogra and I personally think those are BANGER titles. Mileage may vary -- but when I'm introducing rotgoons or rotgrind to my friends being able to point at that pretty fucking funny episode about the MELFS or whatever *feels* better than pointing to a really generic title with a pretty okay thumbnail.
Zoran can yell at me later. That high production value comes from the ability to pay editors, artists, and various others, and provide the Narrative Declaration folks with the money to devote their full attention to these productions. To continue to do so, they need to draw in others outside of the current audience because people come and go and toutube is a huge avenue for growth of any creator. Thats the game they have to play with youtube.
Thanks for the feedback! Sadly we're having to play UA-cam's game of using several tactics to entice new people to check out our content which in turn helps the project grow. So we can do what we do and afford the talents our artists, actors, and writers bring to the table. We're not a fan of it either, but it has helped the videos, which also helps pay our bills to keep doing this show! Once UA-cam allows us to title the videos in a way we prefer in this ultra-competitive field and not be held back for it, we'll let folks know!
"I want to cast fireballs" Potatoes can be turned into vodka. And vodka can be turned into Molotovs.
Ergo: You're a Wizard Greg!
That's just alchemy! 😭

But this takes place during the month before the main party returns to the city
@@spritemon98 u sure? I mean the "party" the cat boy ruined might be the rotgrinds one
@@moxtordoki96 yes I'm sure. The only one around at the time was baldric while the others were killing pictern
But the rotgrind gang comes back to the city after the parade has ended kronch tells them so, and this is happening not even 1 day after the parade so it is impossible since they have not returned from the swamp yet
@moxtordoki96 Chonkus decided he wanted to see what it was like to be on the other side of the execution

Froggy being an actual Goblin is half of the reason im here and Cav capitalism is another third lol
I love how Tellem is the Baldric of the group.
Conserve, not preserve. Slight but distinct difference.
11:15 that faking your death bit was hilarious
1:12:22 I keep forgetting Heart is actually made of the same material as the brick shithouse he's built like.

I see Cabal has read "The Nature of Predators" too.
Man I was really rooting for catboy. He seemed like the most interesting character out of the three!
Tonight, on Rotgoons. The most intense game of cards of your life.
Rip quiet cat boy
The goons is genuinely my favorite ttrpg live game.
I get Castlevania vibes from the music during the discussion with Kerdinan about the curse.

Kerdenand is great can't wait for him to either die or become a villain.

ROFL for Chainmail Fraud.
