Amber and Cleo changed A LOT and so did Hildagard. Amber stood out the most to me. Watch her in the first and last season and WOW. She really did change.

Considering they’ve been best friends since they were little and they literally never ask Sophia for anything, I doubt it.
There's an episode called 'Princess Jade' where Jade actually cared about Sofia, proving that she could be a great friend. In the episode where Dunwitti (the village school) and Royal Prep exchange two students, Jade learned that she was related to a princess (spoiler: she actually isn't) and that meant that she would have to transfer to Royal Prep. At first, she was excited because she got to hang out with Sofia, but then, she realised that she was going to be away from her friends and family from the village if she transferred there, so she didn't want to transfer to Royal Prep anymore. But, she didn't tell Sofia her thoughts. The reason was that she was worried that Sofia's feelings might get hurt as Sofia was really excited about Jade transferring to Royal Prep. She even told Ruby about her fears of Sofia being mad at her for that. Just try watching that episode, and you'll see how much Jade cared for Sofia's feelings.

Tbh her friends are not considerate. They already know she's a princess and her life is not the same anymore. Beside they act like 'we're friends of sofia so we can do anything' ughhh. They are in a palace not a frickin village. I'm not saying that they should fit their self in a high class people but I am saying that they should still try to understand the situation Goddd.
DiZ why I love amber cause her characteristic are just so natural. I mean her being brat rude and mean but at the same sweet and loving. At first you'll have a bad impression of her, because she makes everything hard on sofia well just saying thou, that's that is the typical reaction of SOME people when they meet their stepsister, and beside she grow up being dependent. She is a princess who was spoiled maybe because she have the right to, she's rich dzuh.

While being yourself is right and okay, there are some situations that you adapt to and have common sense on.
Sure, they're children and lived in a village so they don't know anything about royalty. But manners are taught in everyday life.
Amber does make more sense when she said "Do something about your friends" insinuating that Sofia's friends are crossing a certain line.
They knocked over that gosh darn chocolate tower for God's sake and they're not even reflecting their actions throughout the day
Questions can be asked without being annoying. But at that point they're very overbearing. While letting loose is fine, but there are always boundaries.
I would be mad too if someone spilled chocolate on a _WHITE_ dress. It's so annoying that they get to get away for pulling stuff like that and THEY BARELY APOLOGIZE.
Sofia lives in a palace and became a princess, yes. Her class is higher than both of them, yes. But she still treats you as friends regardless of status and power.
But they were really noisy, messy, and overbearing. Now i may be too dramatic over a kids show that was plenty years old, but i have a problem about the writing and friendship that they portrayed in this episode.
Why was Sofia's the one to apologise when clearly she has given them a place to sleep, dresses and tiaras, being considerate for her friends, and yet--
