wah this reminds me of the old times, my ROD was 92. I rembr my ah neh OC siao on, wt best in everything. So whenever free always kena SOC, everytime the COS shouts "fall in for SOC" I will get clammy cold sweat. I really hate SOC the most & some months we have SOC every f**king day man. The worse pt of soc I remember is after jump low ramp yur knees turn to jelly that's the where the cursing screaming and shouting starts. SHAG OUT MAN!!! :0)
did my bmt soc recently. I think it was a 10m run up and 300m run down. Passing timing is 6min. So I guess it is getting easier over time to accommodate civilian soldiers
well, I ran the SOC over at Pasir Laba in 6:58. I think the motivation was to beat the Bandung who were running with us. Couldn't beat all of them though. One got just ahead! :p
actually no need to do one. i rem in tekong i always queue up at the side of the station to give my number to the sgt cos i cant do any of it. ha. and i dun have to ever do it again after bmt.
the video got k-long is it? the wall is so low, the wire at stepping board got so low one meh? how come low ramp got sand as landing spot one? the last part run like that how to make the it in 8 mins ... fail lah
how is the SOC run now that the SAR-21 is the standard weapon? and the boots have changed? In the mid 80's the SOC was the worst - the worst course you can run is the one at SAFTI OCS. It sucks to run up a sloped road after the ramp - its like - like....like ....total crap!
@wendyneo Why not everyone join army then. Aren't there lots of vacancies? At least taking up NS like a man is better than running away like someone who have no balls.

Anyone remembers the distance you had to run before and after the course? Was it 600m and then 700m. Really a nightmare
I think the kicker was when you'd finish, the PTI says "Samurah"... then thereafter, "See that tree over there? Now go touch it and come back."

Done bit by bit, its all bloody easy. Do it all at the same time with sprinting before and after the obstacles and it becomes a biatch.

700m hit low wall, 300m obstaces & run down 500m = total 1500m in 10min 30sec to pass

Do you feel that the course at SAFTI was more challenging than the one at Tekong ITD? I always felt that the low wall and parallel bar were higher
