You know the funny thing is this is canon. The latest Sonic Twitter Takeover Shadow said he knew he was going to fall and he didn’t want to take Sonic with him.

It hurts so much, dang it. I can only imagine the grief and sadness and pain that Sonic felt as he watched his doppelganger fall helplessly.

On one of the Twitter takeovers, Shadow actually mentions that Sonic tried to save him outside of the ARK off-camera. It’s very sad and sweet. 💔

On my first time viewing, Not even halfway through his masterpiece, I busted into tears. Heavy, sad, sobbing tears. Shadow's sacrifice was one that meant everything. He let go. He left the world in Sonic's hands. Shadow had achieved his destiny. And even so, Sonic wasn't about to let him go so easily. He knew who shadow was now. Sonic saw the good in him, he wanted him to live. But...
Shadow chose. He decided his fate.

I'm glad he came back though, even if his character only remained intact in about 3 mainline games. ( maybe 4, Forces him wasn't too awful)
It make sense, Shadow planned suicide along planet destruction.

I also thought the reason shadow ran out of power first was due to him having to be the main one using chaos control. Sonic was still new to it so shadow had to compensate for him hence why he removed his limiter. Its also nice to think he didn't say anything cause he didn't want to.risk Sonics life.

makes sense. its kinda beautiful to think that in his last moments, in fulfilling his promise, he passed on not only the goal maria gave him to super sonic, but also one of his signature move in chaos control.
Things like this make me wanna just punch everyone at SEGA for what they did to Shadow in the modern era - a laughing stock of an edgelord, who hates having friends and has a superiority complex all the time for no reason at all, and to think people promote it. They should've left him dead, instead of listening to us at this point, imo, if that was they're plan, after bringing him back!

Probably trying to make himself really unapproachable and unreasonable to a point that everyone would stop trying to be friends with him, and just leave him alone so that he can protect himself from getting to close to anyone avoiding another eventual tragic death of someone he cared about
@@SonikkuXenoHearts3587 okay, I get that he might be afraid of losing more friends after what happened, but that doesn't mean he should act like he hates everyone. Look, Maria couldn't defend herself, unlike Rouge and Omega can, so he doesn't have to worry about them that much, especially after how good of a team they were as Team Dark in Sonic Heroes. Later in Sonic 06 when he finds out that Omega is the one who puts him into prison forever, after Iblis destroyed the world in future, he's almost ready to leave, but then Rouge reassured that no matter what they will stand as a team on his side, which does make Shadow stay with his team, so I don't know why after all of that he starts hating everyone so suddenly. I get that the plot of the game got erased in the end, but from what I know some of the characters did remember everything what happened, so I don't see why he does this in the modern era for no reason. I can understand Boom Shadow doing that, because he's a completely different character, but Game Shadow is not like that.
Lets hope the movies do him justice.

@@KLUCZESIA Yeah I kinda think so too. Just coming off of a movie where there was an advertised red quilled rivalry between aonic and some new character seems like it can lead to some problems. I too wanted metal sonic. Than again Metal sonic is my favorite rival character so I'm a little biased.
Wish this was in the game, so much more emotional than just shadow dropping.

A real hero, to me, is never a hero because they're strong, smart, fast, or have powers. A hero can be all that, or a little child. Or a broken soul that once - just once in their life - decides "This is not right. This needs to be right. I'LL make it right." and does something beautiful like this, in spite of themselves.
What's more, just because it's a story, and made up in a mind, doesn't make it worthless. A character can be just as much a person as you or me, for what is a character but the child of the mind?
We grew up with these characters. Watched them grow, and when they sacrifice - we feel for them. Sometimes too much, but in the end - we see our own reflection and the hope of what we can be, in the spirit on the page.
So good job Shadow, you're a hero to me.

yea sonic tried to save shadow but he let go gladfully eggman saw what was going on and saved him
i find it verry noble of shadow acting like a propper big brother he usally only shows the rival side of sonic and him being brothers
he now tottly looks out for sonic taking responisiblty to what ever happens to him and making sure his safe

Dear Sonic Project, I fell in love with this comic dub and I think it should be more popular. I am a experienced Animator and Editor. I wonder if I could have permission for to recreate this comic dub by having it fully animated. It would mean a lot! I am also currently working on my own Sonic The Hedgehog animation.
