Thanks for the vid HamHock. I must admit this is one of those cases where I got over-hyped by the card without understanding its function properly; for some reason I thought the spell itself cost 0 and was wondering why this wasn't Tier 0 already(can you imagine a T3 Magma Opus LOL). Fortunately I got to try it out in draft and while it was a solid limited deck I've realised it's just nice in the right shell and nothing busted(aka good mythic design as you mentioned). I still think I want to try this in a Jeskai control build, seeing some potential payoffs but a lot slower. I suspect White Tempo(which I think is most often splashing Blue but there's a few variations) may want this more as a sideboard option(similar to how red-based aggro decks side Ox of Agonas) as game 1 is more just going for the throat. Then again BW has Killian to achieve some cheeky stuff hmm. -Aka SlayCG
Guiding Voice from Strixhaven is very good with this (as well as an obvious flavour win): +1/+1 counter and Learn could be great, especially since there are lessons that target your creatures too (e.g. Expanded Anatomy).
I may have to play this card with Quintorius, Field Historian! Every instant or sorcery you cast from your graveyard will create a 4/2 Spirit token for you as well.
Yeah, I had a draft with that synergy and it was quite nice. I also had the 2 cost Hexproof trick which helped as I could hold mana up for Mavinda to protect himself.
What about instants and sorceries that target different targets like Quandrix Command? Does it run into the 8 mana restriction, or does it depend on which effects you choose from quandrix command?

Absolutely! Guiding Voice is an underrated card, in my opinion.

That's some lovely synergy. I'm here for it. :-)
I just had an opponent play Mavinda against me on Arena for the first time - have you seen this card's ETB animation? They went all out on this one!
I know right! I especially like how there's a voiceover saying, "I will teach you much." It makes me so happy.

It won't run into the tax as long as one of the modes targets one of your creatures. As I understand it, it does depend on what you select.
I want so much to make a deck with 3 Mavinda, 4 reflective golem and going Silverquill (WB) or Selesnya (WG), maybe even Abzan (WBG)
This sounds really interesting. I think reflective golem has some real potential when combined with Mavinda. Good luck!
the two dislikes were happy hand slips of excitement cause of this card ;)
It's all good. I'm honored some people thought it was worth the energy to dislike my stuff. :-) Engagement's engagement.
Fastest card I have EVER shoved in my feather the redeemed deck.
