As a Diriga simp for a very long time, here is my 2 cents:
Arc Coil is a very good precept that synergize pretty well with Synth Deconstruct to generate health orbs. And now with Manifold Bond, it can also spread a ton of elements depending on the weapon Diriga is using. It make him an excellent primer because as long as you kill stuff with 3 status on it, MB will reset Arc Coil's cooldown and Diriga will then zap everything around all the time. However, Arc Coil's mere 10% status chances make it quite bad to spead it's innate Electricity.
Putting an attack precept make him shoot a bit between ticks or when enemies are too far for Arc Coil, which is nice. But Calculated Shot don't have any charge mechanics. The description is most likely referring to the Vulklok with which Diriga is built.
Also: Electro Pulse is trash. Sadly, this mod prevent Diriga to do anything else as long as he is holding a target. No Arc Coil, no attacks, nothing else. It can even prevent him from using other precepts like Sacrifice or Guardian. The only way to make it stop is to move out of range. This mod is really bad (as it is right now. The part 2 of the companion rework will certainly change things up)

@@elisa_grr It really depend of what you need. The combo Arc Coil + Manifold Bond allow Diriga to spread element on enemies around you regardless of the weapon equipped. It will simply copy the elements on the weapon (IPS included) and paste it on Arc Coil. But if you want a weapon that can also do that too by itself, the Helstrum is the best sentinel weapon to use as a primer since it's a homing rocket launcher with fairly large aoe. And sentinels other than Diriga can use it too.
But you can use any other weapon (for example the Verglas which is the best DPS sentinel weapon) and AC + MB will still spread modded elements all the same.

@@Hal34329 Litterally anything else. Don't feel forced to equip all original precepts of a sentinels and only focus on your needs. The selling point of Diriga is Arc Coil combined with Manifold Bond which allow auto priming at close range. If you are a melee enthusiast equipped with Condition Overload, this will basically free you from using a primary or secondary weapon as a primer. After that, you can build on this foundation:
- As i said before, it synergize quite well with Synth Deconstruct for spawning health orbs. Really nice with Equilibrium.
- Guardian is also a really good mod that will frequently replenish your empty shields, once again thank to Manifold Bond that reduce the cooldown for each enemy killed with 3 elements on them, which conveniently is always the case thank to Arc Coil.
- Momentous Bond also add elements on your sentinel weapon for each Eximus killed, which can also be spread with AC + MB.
- Mystic Bond can be really useful here since Arc Coil has a really short cooldown, thus giving you a free ability cast quite frequently (be careful if you are a shield gate enjoyer since a free cast will not give you shield with Brief Respite and Augur mods set).
- Etc, etc…
The problem now is that there is many good and useful mods for sentinels but you can't fit them all in a build x)

For general use since your weapons usually have Viral anyway I would rather run corrosive+cold on it's weapon since with electricity you already have the 3 elements for Manifold.

That is actually unnecessary as, thanks to Manifold, Arc Coil will inherit the status effects on your weapon anyway, including IPS from a weapon like Dethmachine Gun. That's going to net you far more than 3 to keep it going naturally.
Obviously that's going for a different weapon than Verglas, which does not have IPS, but I don't need more damage than my weapons and abilities already provide. I want more utility from my sentinel, personally.

@@discreet_blakebeen a minute so you might have found your answer but if anyone else comes upon this, be mindful of Fired Up on your sentinel, great mod especially with Verglass since it stacks up to max very quickly,
BUT if your verglass only has corrosive + cold, or basically any combo+single element, then the added HEAT from Fired UP will COMBINE with the cold or other single element.
In order to get manifold bond to throw your weapons modded corrosive+innate cold, youd need to drop fired up.
I think forcing viral on verglass and putting heat on, (3 60/60's) is probably optimal. Can use the new radiation mod too to get another unique element, this one doesnt combine with heat, so manifold can put viral+rad+heat on enemies hit by arc coil. Other option would be tox+elec + no other element(or cold mods) and drop fired up.
I think the heat really wins out though, especially if using Contagious bond to really stack up and spread out the heat procs.

Do not run electro pulse, it will stop your Diriga from using arc coil more and electro pulse itself is not very useful.

With the new rework, I'm actually trying out all the companions I maxed and forgot about instead of just running a Panzer. Nautilus is actually pretty cool.

Assuming you don't change anything, if you moved the polarity from Calculated Shot over to Electro Pulse you would save one additional point, allowing you to max out Accelerated Deflection.
Could also swap the mods if you don't care about their order.

Thanks for bringing it to my attention. I have not r un the blimp since they nerfed its gun. Was fun doing missions and the enemies dying often before i even saw them. It was needed, but never looking much after that.

The real sauce is Mystic Bond on Diriga. Each arc from arc coil counts as a separate cast so it racks up free casts very quickly. It's the fastest Mystic Bond user alongside Strain Set Helminth Charger and Wyrm with Negate.

He's just a really good primer sentinel that also has great synergy with Synth Deconstruct to spawn a lot of health orbs. Makes him invaluable for Equilibrium builds.

I doubt it'll be during Gauss Prime's release because he'll be coming with his two signature weapons. (Acceltra and Akarius). The next best bet will be Protea Prime.
