- A short vid showing the features of my observing chair.
A scan of the original sketch can be found here:

Scale is 2 inches per square on the grid.
One of the best accessories an observer can have. I just found your channel - subbed!

This chair is design is fantastic!! I've spent hours looking for one this simple to make and use. I would probably modify it a bit, to make it into a chair for sitting on while at my spinning wheel. That shouldn't be hard, though. All it needs is a slightly larger seat front to back. Thanks for sharing your video and plan sketch!
Love to hear how it turns out!
Very nice chair
I have a blue IKEA stool I use a lot for observing. But I like building things too.
Cool chair
Actually, it wobbles in that shot because it *did* actually crack a little - there was a weak spot in one of those side rail boards. I think 2x4 is brute overkill, but if and when I make another I would either use hardwood, or a laminate (a few sheets of ply glued together, which is what I use for the seat supports).
My plans a pretty sketchy - redoing them properly is on my ever-growing to-do list...
Nice Video Presentation. You have given me inspiration to build my own chair. Looking at other chairs on the market, ranging from $150-$250.00, which is out of my budget range.
Do you sell the Plans?
Again, thanks for the inspiration!
Can you show a better view of the back . I would like to see how they are made and attached to the front assembly. Thanks
Love the design. You probably get asked the same question. Do you have any plans or basic dimensions? Length, width etc I would love to make it
I've posted a link to a scan of my original sketch in the comments. I hope that helps until I can (someday...) do the plans up properly.
big dude
Indeed. 6'4" and probably 240lb at the time. And man have I gone more grey since then...
