Wow! That's amazing. I wonder how long you have to wait before you can write in that area again. Love the video, as usual, but four commercial breaks during a 13-minute video is nearly unbearable. I would prefer to see ads at the beginning and end of the video.
so i went out to target yesterday and the day before and bought these gel pens called frixion by pilot and they use frixion rubber rubbing on the ink to make it disappear and i was saying in my video wouldn't that be cool if we had a fountain pen ink that did that ... this is one of the coolest things ive ever seen i am so curious to know what makes it have the ability to be written and erased that is so cool now i want one
@@gregandpens1334 i am curious if it is just the ink i would say try sucking the ink out of a cartridge and put it in a regular fountain pen see if it still works
It's thermocromic ink. It turns transparent when the rubber heats the ink up through friction, hence the name. I am planning on developing my own thermochromic ink for use in fountain pens, but obviously not mass produce it.
@@mandarin1257 nope, this is NOT friction ink. No heat was applied. This believe it or not, is simply dry erase marker ink. If you've ever used magic markers, its dry erase with a "activator" pen that's actually full of bleach or bleach like product. I got curious and pooled some ink on a glass plate. After it dried, it freaking wiped away!
Almost any 'royal blue' ink can be chemically and physically altered by that marker thingy to become clear, 'erasing' it. Many stationery companies produce these markers.

Hey thanks for the advice! I will just turn them off altogether 🙂
I like.

And to think, these are fountain pens for kids too! I wish they had an adult version!

Why did you stop making videos
Didn't you know that ink is erasable? When I was young, everyone was using that... But we had tiny pens' tips and not a big marker!
(well, depending on which ink you buy, of course. As an adult, I don't want to use erasable ink but it's practical :))
Same here.
If you know of more pens like this, let me know!
