Perhaps one means that death is getting closer.
Be assured. No one takes any trip once they die. The dead lie in a state of nonexistence until the resurrections begin (Genesis 3:19, Acts 24:15).
Once Jesus begins to rule this earth and paradise is restored, no one will want to die.
(Revelation 21:3, 4) With that I heard a loud voice from the throne say: “Look! The tent of God is with mankind, and he will reside with them, and they will be his people. And God himself will be with them. 4 And HE WILL WIPE OUT EVERY TEAR FROM THEIR EYES, and DEATH WILL BE NO MORE, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.”
@@tongakhan230 The spirit of the saved people goes to be with the LORD, the body stays in the grave. The lost go to hell. At the rapture born again Christians will get change, and the dead will rise and be caught up to be with the LORD.

Listening to your comments about your grandson….I had a brother who had cerebral palsy. He never spoke a word, but understood us when we talked to him. He would often point to the sky and then to himself as if to say he would go to heaven one day. Can’t wait to see him again with his perfect, I immortal body!

Dr. Reagan-I remember so well, when you were going through those trials with your beautiful wife. I remember wracking my brain to try and figure out what the diagnosis could be-I remember writing you and asking you questions about her symptoms…and I remember how you were so distraught over her suffering, yet you always stayed yoked to your Headship and trusting in Him! What a blessing for Mrs. Reagan, that you were such a loving caregiver, even when she was in the memory care (my dad, if you remember, had Parkinson’s and ultimately ended up in memory care too)…YOU were still caring for her and nurturing her, physically and spiritually. What a blessing you were to her and still are to so many! I pray that the Father continues to bless you and place His Mighty Hedge of Protection around you and your family as we continue to watch for our Beloved Yahshua to take us to our Eternal Home. The church I was raised up in (the same church you were raised in, Dr. Reagan), taught soul sleep upon death. I now know that is wrong, praise God!❤
I didn't know that he had passed away. I am not afraid of death because I know where I am going. I believe the sin nature part of us is the part that doesn't want to die. The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak. In this life, physical suffering seems to affect us all eventually. I agree with Paul. He was shown what awaits saved believers. When Jesus gave his life down for us all, he descended into Hades, he set the captives free and took them to heaven!! Praise the Lord!! Thank you, Dr. Reagan, for your teachings. Also: No instruments during song worship or clapping of hands in praise while singing but, the hypocrisy of many tapping their toes to the beat of the music, using pitch tuners etc. brought me to the realization of how scripturally "off" that church was on some of their teachings. Dr. Reagan, and Christ in Prophecy people, THANK YOU for sharing this view. Forgive me, as my words may be long, for most. So, I understand why most people will not read my comments.
I have some more study and prayer to do about some things that Dr. Reagan said about when we die and where we go, "since the Cross," as Dr. Reagan says we NOW go to heaven, which I do not currently believe. though want to. This scripture regarding PARADISE seems very clear about where Paradise IS! At the same time, some things Dr. Reagan said ARE things that I HAVE studied about more.
For others and you all reading my comments thus far, I find it difficult to believe what Dr. Reagan said that the "Body" sleeps and not the soul. He says, the "Body" sleeps The Body awakens? That doesn't make sense. The body gets tired. The body doesn't SLEEP though. The soul does! While the body is alive, it never sleeps, though WE do! When our body is alive, and we sleep, the body still functions (the heart continues to beat, breathing continues). When the body dies, the heart stops. The body seases to breath. Then the Body decay, or it's cremated in this world today.
My understanding from the scriptures is that the soul and spirit are two different things. The spirit (the breath of life) goes back to God, who gave it. The soul (who we ARE) lives, yet SLEEPS after death-(THOSE that are Christs anyway). All others go to hades, as Dr. Reagan believes too - only he says for those before Christ ? (btw, I listened to his argument about that).
Here's why I disagree with Dr. Reagan regarding this topic. The Bible says clearly that the Dead rise FIRST, and Jesus Himself said the Dead shall rise on the Last Day / At the Resurrection (John 6:37-44 and 54, as well as John 11: 23-24). This, I believe is in conflict to what Dr. Reagan shared in this video. How can we be in heaven, if the Bible says the [ Dead ] shall rise at the LAST DAY / At the resurrection ! ? So, we can't be already in Heaven, when the Bible says we are dead - asleep, right !?
For more clarity, how can there also be a pre-trib rapture, as the Bible says that the dead rise on the "LAST" Day ?
I see most scriptures and what Jesus said as face value, or Truth. So, even if I have a different understanding or belief, I don't even try to dispute what JESUS Himself said about something.
My beliefs HAVE to agree with the Bible and not the other way around. Also, I don't make up, or infer, or believe what I want to believe regardless of what the Bible says. For me, If MY beliefs are against what the Scriptures say, then I'M wrong, and I humble myself, as I always have.
1 Thess 4:13 also describes sleep... "But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which ARE [asleep], that ye sorrow not..." Vs 14: "For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus..." These scriptures do not sound like we are awake, and in heaven! Vs 16: The "dead" in Christ shall RISE first. Then the living will be caught up.
Christ died, literally, right! 1 Cor 15 compares sleep to death. Also, Christ was risen from the dead, and became the firstfruits of them that slept (died). This passage also reads, "every man in his own order; Christ the firstfruits; afterward they that are Christ's..."AT His Coming!" - Not BEFORE he comes again! So, reading this myself, the dead CANNOT be in Heaven already! Friends, can you see that?
Also, the "comfort", spoken about in 1 Thess 4:18 regarding this passage starting at vs 13 is that the Dead in Christ will not be left in the graves. Hallelujah!

I believe the detailed answer is found in the Apocryphal book of 2 Esdras 7:75-100. This book WAS in the KJV till the late 1600s, and has been in and out of the canon of Scripture over the centuries. My parents haven a mid-1800s Bible and all the Apocryphal books including Enoch, 2 Esdras, Jubilees, Jasher, Baruk, and a few others, are in that Bible. Anyway-if you are led to read it-it clarified some things for me, and actually brought me great shalom as to what exactly happens to the Righteous (and the wicked) when we are separated from our mortal bodies. I believe it also is similar to what happens to us at the time of the Rapture (not arguing on the timing of that ☺️), in that we are “hidden away”, as Isaiah 26:20 implies. Certainly, however it plays out, the Father knows-He is the Owner of the Truth and what a blessing it is to be able to rest in the fact that we don’t have to worry about it at all! His Plan is absolutely perfect! HalleluYHWH!

“Last day” I believe is referring to the last day of this Church Age, before the time of God’s Judgement upon Israel and the unbelieving world. I’m wondering what period of time you believe it is the last day of? Because there really is no last day of time, in general. We know that the “last day” is not referring to the last day of the Great Tribulation because we, Christ’s Body, are promised to be kept from that hour (time) of Judgement.
1 Thess 4:14 is important for your question about the saved sleeping in Christ. It says that they (the sleeping) God will BRING WITH HIM. He can only “bring with Him” those who have been in heaven.
Our bodies “Sleeping” during this earthly life doesn’t have to be the same concept of “sleeping” as Paul describes our bodies in the grave. The Bible is using it as an analogy for our empty vessels waiting for our souls to rejoin them.
After 2,000 years since Christ ascended back to heaven, I believe it’s scriptural that “His coming” again includes both His meeting His Body (the Church) in the clouds, as well as His setting His feet on the earth at the end of the Great Tribulation.
After a long wait and the building up of Christ’s Body, He’s coming again!!! Hallelujah!
“Christ became the first fruits of them that slept”. It’s talking about our BODIES being resurrected and glorified, which hasn’t happened yet. But, our souls are in heaven awaiting that resurrection and glorification. 😊🙏🏼
So would Moses and Elijah when they appeared at the Transfiguration have previously been in Hades, not Heaven, and then after appearing would have returned back to Hades?
JM,....First off, Moses and Elijah never went to heaven nor hell. When they died they slept just like everyone else that has died. Second, the Bible is clear when anyone dies the saved or the unsaved they all sleep and await judgement day when all will be raised together.
The Bible doesnt tell us about how Moses and Elijah showed up at the transfiguration. Logically there were just woken up from their sleep and then they returned to their sleep. But again, the Bible does not tell us. But they were not in heaven nor hell.
Jesus didn't walk around with a blood whipped and battered physical body after the resurrection. It was regenerated brand new by his eternal Celestial God spirit. Our spirits are Terrestrial sustained by the power of the Celestial for all eternity. The physical body is nothing but a material wrapping for the spirit that is far greater and actually the only thing really there in existence.

When you die you return to the earth and all the chemical components with it. From the earth you were made, and you shall return to it. Ecclesiastes 12:7 Then shall the dust return to the earth as it was: and the breath (RUACH) shall return unto God who gave it. The Messiah himself said John 3:13 King James Version 13 And no man hath ascended up to heaven, but he that came down from heaven, even the Son of man which is in heaven. Somewhere out there is not promised to us. What is promised is a future resurrection and a place here on earth. Don't pay attention to someone else's opinion not even mine. Nothing happens after death. The person ceases to exist as God decreed (Genesis 3:19).
That is why resurrections have been promised by God (Acts 24:15). But that is still in the future.
A few have been chosen to be co-rulers with Jesus of God's heavenly Government (Revelation 20:6). These know what they will do. They will RULE over the earth and help restore paradise for this earth. So that:
(Psalm 37:29) The righteous will possess the earth, And they will live forever on it.

Did anyone bother to notice that he didn't quote scripture for the seven-year tribulation? Even the false Bibles don't have a verse for that.

No no no !!! Our spirit is just a spirit , it’s not our soul. The dead know nothing. I ask you truly examine the scriptures in depth. No man has seen heaven but he who come down. All this confusion. When we die and the heart stops beating we have no more life , consciousness, we are in the grace. If we went to heaven after death and is still conscious , then why would we at the rapture , be given new glorified bodies before we go into heaven ?? You all seek the scripture’s. All that died in the faith are not alive in heaven and conscious and living. Our spirit is with the lord because we are are saved and believes in the lord ( it’s a spirit ) it’s not a body or soul. Let me also mention this , the dead in Christ shall rise first and then we who are alive will be caught up in the clouds and shall be with the lord where we are given ( glorified bodies ) and Jesus said in my fathers house are many mansions and where he is we shall also be , if it wasn’t so he would have told us. The ( wedding ) has ent happen yet !!! Come on now !!! There are ( 2 resurrections ) before the 1,000 year ( reign ) of Christ , and the the ( 2nd ) after the reign where the final judgement will be. Let’s not twist the scripture’s for what we want them to be instead for what God say’s , all those in the past that died in faith are still waiting to gain heaven the way God intended.
