Oh, Shannen! It still hurts. She's been part of my life for honestly, the most of it at this point. 20 years? Or so. I feel like I lost a friend. Never got the privilege of actually meeting her, but always felt like she was a kind, gentle soul. Hope she knew how deeply she was loved around the world.
I met Shannen many times and talk to her even more by private messages and she was amazing, kind, funny and a gem. I'm a fan of her since Beverly Hills 90210 and Brenda (my first favorite female character) she helped me in in my childhood. Watching her in BH was my escape. Luckily I had the chance to tell her that and more. Her passing is heartbreaking and hard. Thanks for the donations and guys yes continue your journey with Charmed to honor her. She would like that.
I look forward to these every Saturday. Shannen was and is still a force. I'm so glad she released that podcast so that other cancer survivors and those fighting can be encouraged. She kept it moving regardless of what was going on in her life or if certain things seemed discouraging. Edit: she basically kept living and exploring as we all should, even when adversity is looming

Darryl making valid points about home security. Not them sending Troxa as replacement for Cole. Cole vs Troxa 😂 Prue having none of Cole! Prue slayed these episodes 🙌🏼 Not Prue fighting demons & stalkers! The stalker twist tho 🤯 Girl flipped so fast! Loved this episode & seeing Prue in her element. Phoebe & Cole practically eating each other’s faces 😂 Love Prue trying to strengthen her astral powers. Can’t wait to see their powers evolve more. Not accidentally freeing a demon from its curse & transferring it to yourself. The range of emotions Shannen portrayed in the empath episode 💚 Aww Phoebe just wants to be happy with Cole. 1:58 thank you for speaking on this. I think I speak for a lot of us here that losing her felt like losing a friend and family and left a bit of a hole in our hearts. I grew up on 90210 and Charmed and watching her fight this I was very shocked . I truly believed she was going to make it. It’ll take some time for the shock to end but everyone just know she loved us all so much.
Seeing two amazing uses of Prue's astral projection this close to Shannen's passing is lovely; it's like seeing the strength of the actress' spirit represented through a character she loved playing. 🩷

I met Shannen at 90s con in March of 2023 and have a couple of pictures with her. When I met her, she had a hat on in our pictures. find out months later that she had brain surgery 2 months prior. You would never know it. She was there for her fans! and I cherish those pictures even more. The best moment after my picture with the Shannen, Holly and Rose I kept thanking them and in awe of them and Shannen pointed and said over and over...the exit is over there! LMAO
Thank you for the touching tribute to Shannen. I'm heartbroken over her passing. As others have stated, I felt as if I grew up with her being just a year and a day apart in age. Through her work in television and film, she's been a constant presence. She will be dearly missed.
It's a little poetic to me that you guys get to the empath episode as Shannen passes away, which in my opinion is her best episode on the show 🤧 I can rewatch this episode forever and ever, it is just SO good. She will continue to live on in these rewatches 💛

"There is a hollow in my chest and I can't seem to catch my breath. A part of me is missing even though I know exactly what you would say to me right now. I know exactly what you would tell me to do right now. I know your undying spirit will live in me and my kids who you loved as your own. They will walk with your sense of purpose and pride. Two of my favorite episodes specially the empath one. Shannen acting is outstanding. When Prue said she never felt something like that since Andy, it made me tears. Andy was her one true love and everyone after was a rebound and it didn't work. The fight is one my favorite scene of the show.

Many of us are finally that age, where the generation right before us, the one where we were teenagers and saw the cool 20 and 30 year olds and wanted to be like them, see them pass away. There's something incredibly melancholy to know that the people we watched, cheered, looked up, had fan clubs for, are gone. It’s definitely going to be hard for you to react and for us to watch after Shannen passed but that’s exactly what we all should be doing - honoring her memory. It was the same after Matthew Perry passed away and I’m watching Nick’s and Oscar’s reactions to Friends. This episode started the pride of Prue. She's always been prideful but being Charmed, her ego runs wild this season. This episode showed how two things can be true, Prue was right but so was Phoebe and Piper.
And this episode started the obnoxious, dense love struck Phoebe Making her blind to obvious signs in this episode, Prue was right all along except she didn't expect to have a stalker, no one would, try watching the episode with an open mind and stop been one sided🙄

Long before Charmed Shannen was on a show called BH90210. I have been a fan of hers since the 90s. I'll be 38 next week it still sucks that she's passed away.
I will always miss Charmed. Prue is my favorite character. I am a stage 4 cancer survivor about four years out of chemo. Shannen was incredibly brave and strong in all we heard and saw from her since her diagnosis. She was an amazing woman. Thank you for your commitment to finishing the show. It will be sad knowing she’s gone, but it will also continue to be delightful. You guys are funny and compassionate in your assessment of the characters and themes. I like how in 3x05 NONE was actually right/wrong.... well, maybe except of Darryl - they really need better security. xD Everyone had a point about one thing but was wrong about something else. Piper and Phoebe were thinking about human threat and Prue about demonic one - it turns out that it was both. Living in San Francisco and leaving your doors open? It sounds that you are asking for a thief but from the other side if demons want to get in the house they will teleport (they don't need doors). It actully reminds me of one episode of Buffy - it's interesting to see once in a while grounded threat in supernatural show. Like here - usually they are fighting with evil supernatural threats but here the biggest enemy is actually a human being.
Funny fact is that Shannen and Julian were dating in real life while Cole was making out with Phoebe 😅 And Alyssa dated Brian while Leo was Piper fiance

@34:40 that scene is literally from the Matrix how Neo kills Agent Smith at the end. makes me wonder when this episode came out. because the fight scene and everything was super Matrix inspired/copied. And i still love it.
I'm confused about 3x06. From one side it was cool to see Prue being a badass but from the other a lot of things doesn't make sense - like Prue using levitation this episode (I said from the beginning that the switched secondary powers of Prue and Phoebe) or her sudden knowledge of martial arts. It's like they want to push her into being "super witch" even if it doesn't make any sense, I prefered when Charmed ones where more or less equal in therm of this. Also Cole is becoming bigger and bigger threat, look how easily he predicted what Prue will do. He didn't waste any time while spying the Charmed ones. And the Triad looks like a serious threat as well. It's so good to see a villains that lasts longer on the show, so far the only multiple episode villains were Hannah and Rex. Overally I see s3 as one of the best seasons and YET seeing this lack of consistency is annoying me. Like here many things haven't made much sense... - They are always saying that if power isn't designed for you then you can't handle it. That's why in s2 finale Phoebe got flying. It didn't hurt her because it was destined for her anyway. But you get the point - empathy wasn't destined for Prue so I don't get how in 2 seconds she went from complete mess to being ok with this power. - At some points during Prue's fight with that demon she basically levitated. That's just another proof that Prue should get levitation and Phoebe astral projection. - And when did Prue learn martial arts... As someone who is training for years this seems to be very unbelievable to me. Couldn't writers at least try to explain somehow her sudden inflow or martial arts skills? They really jumped a shark with this one. BUT this episode also has some great moments, so now let's go to the good stuff... * I love Leo's idea of double date - he's excited and enjoying this, while the rest is like "whetever". :D * Oh, yeah - Julian McMahon (Cole) is a great actor. He always had amazing face expressions. He was on many big projects in his 30's, now he's on smaller projects like for example the Runaways - where also James Marsters is (Spike from Buffyverse). * And again we see how crafty Cole is. He was trying to figure out the Halliwells from the beginning, like 2 episodes ago when he said "I want to see what they learned" so now he knew how Prue will react - that she will try to solve problem all by herself by using a spell, instead of asking Leo for help. I mean wouldn't it be faster and easier to orb that dude out? So you can see that he figured them out and that he's even able to manipulate them.
This is when I started to dislike Phoebe. All the signs were there and she didn't want to see it. That's why fans started calling her PhoeME. RIP Shannen.
Which is dumb cause each sister puts their love in front of everything and everyone else. This is Phoebe's like first true love and she gets shit for it.
This is kind of funny, because Phoebe had acted in a similar way before, when Prue was falling for Bane. :D But I didn't dislike her, because I had same subjective feelings towards Cole, even if he was evil. :D I felt like I would have reacted the same as Phoebe, even if it was not right. Still love Prue of course.

This episode started the pride of Prue. She's always been prideful but being Charmed, her ego runs wild this season. This episode showed how two things can be true, Prue was right but so was Phoebe and Piper.
And this episode started the obnoxious, dense love struck Phoebe Making her blind to obvious signs in this episode, Prue was right all along except she didn't expect to have a stalker, no one would, try watching the episode with an open mind and stop been one sided🙄

The only one being one-sided is you with your boring "prue is right phoebe is wrong" even though prue was as much wrong as she was right, all you annoying fans who never stfu about phoebe making mistakes & not being perfect, like who wants to watch perfect characters that do everything right 24/7...ugh. I've always loved Shannen, I'll always remember her as both Prue and Brenda. Such an iconic woman.
I will always miss Charmed. Prue is my favorite character. I am a stage 4 cancer survivor about four years out of chemo. Shannen was incredibly brave and strong in all we heard and saw from her since her diagnosis. She was an amazing woman. Thank you for your commitment to finishing the show. It will be sad knowing she’s gone, but it will also continue to be delightful. You guys are funny and compassionate in your assessment of the characters and themes. I look forward every week to your Charmed reactions. Thank you.❤

I like how in 3x05 NONE was actually right/wrong.... well, maybe except of Darryl - they really need better security. xD Everyone had a point about one thing but was wrong about something else. Piper and Phoebe were thinking about human threat and Prue about demonic one - it turns out that it was both. Living in San Francisco and leaving your doors open? It sounds that you are asking for a thief but from the other side if demons want to get in the house they will teleport (they don't need doors). It actully reminds me of one episode of Buffy - it's interesting to see once in a while grounded threat in supernatural show. Like here - usually they are fighting with evil supernatural threats but here the biggest enemy is actually a human being.
Prue is really good at kicking ass 😎

Well to be honest Charmed did have a habit of using inspiration or blatantly ripping off a lot of stuff.
Season 3 is definitely my favorite, with episode 5 being in my top list. I'm definitely going to be in tears for a while.

I’m not sure if you guys noticed that Father Thomas is played by the actor who also played The Mayor. 😂
I'm confused about 3x06. From one side it was cool to see Prue being a badass but from the other a lot of things doesn't make sense - like Prue using levitation this episode (I said from the beginning that the switched secondary powers of Prue and Phoebe) or her sudden knowledge of martial arts. It's like they want to push her into being "super witch" even if it doesn't make any sense, I prefered when Charmed ones where more or less equal in therm of this.
Also Cole is becoming bigger and bigger threat, look how easily he predicted what Prue will do. He didn't waste any time while spying the Charmed ones. And the Triad looks like a serious threat as well. It's so good to see a villains that lasts longer on the show, so far the only multiple episode villains were Hannah and Rex.
Overally I see s3 as one of the best seasons and YET seeing this lack of consistency is annoying me. Like here many things haven't made much sense...
- They are always saying that if power isn't designed for you then you can't handle it. That's why in s2 finale Phoebe got flying. It didn't hurt her because it was destined for her anyway. But you get the point - empathy wasn't destined for Prue so I don't get how in 2 seconds she went from complete mess to being ok with this power.
- At some points during Prue's fight with that demon she basically levitated. That's just another proof that Prue should get levitation and Phoebe astral projection.
- And when did Prue learn martial arts... As someone who is training for years this seems to be very unbelievable to me. Couldn't writers at least try to explain somehow her sudden inflow or martial arts skills? They really jumped a shark with this one.
BUT this episode also has some great moments, so now let's go to the good stuff...
* I love Leo's idea of double date - he's excited and enjoying this, while the rest is like "whetever". :D
* Oh, yeah - Julian McMahon (Cole) is a great actor. He always had amazing face expressions. He was on many big projects in his 30's, now he's on smaller projects like for example the Runaways - where also James Marsters is (Spike from Buffyverse).
* And again we see how crafty Cole is. He was trying to figure out the Halliwells from the beginning, like 2 episodes ago when he said "I want to see what they learned" so now he knew how Prue will react - that she will try to solve problem all by herself by using a spell, instead of asking Leo for help. I mean wouldn't it be faster and easier to orb that dude out? So you can see that he figured them out and that he's even able to manipulate them.
I love Shannon, and you guys🥰🥰

Which is dumb cause each sister puts their love in front of everything and everyone else. This is Phoebe's like first true love and she gets shit for it.

This is kind of funny, because Phoebe had acted in a similar way before, when Prue was falling for Bane. :D But I didn't dislike her, because I had same subjective feelings towards Cole, even if he was evil. :D I felt like I would have reacted the same as Phoebe, even if it was not right. Still love Prue of course.
