    MIKKO is a next generation guitar cabinet simulator that works on a Windows or Mac computer as a Standalone, VST3 plugin and an AU plugin.
    INSTALL FIRST - THEN GET THE LICENSE
    Install the free demo version of MIKKO to get a request key for the full license. This will unlock all features mentioned below.
    GET YOUR FULL LICENSE
    SUPERIOR QUALITY CAB SIM
    MIKKO runs a cabinet simulation that is higher quality than what any current modeler supports. It's a raw unprocessed full resolution cabinet simulation.
    MOVE MICS IN 3D SPACE
    With MIKKO you can mix and move up to 9 mics simultaneously in realistic 3D space: 360 degrees around the speaker, from edge to center and from close miked to 16" back. You also have 6 microphone types to choose from.
    9 GUITAR CABINETS
    MIKKO comes with 9 guitar cabinets based on:
    Mesa™ Traditional 4x12 (original spec V30s)
    Mesa™ Oversize 4x12 (newer spec V30s)
    Marshall™ 1990s 4x12 (90s Greenbacks)
    Marshall™ 1970s 4x12 (70s Greenbacks)
    Diezel™ 4x12 (regular V30s)
    EVH™ 4x12 (EVH speakers)
    Zilla™ 2x12 (Creamback H75s)
    Suhr™ 2x12 (V-Type speakers)
    Fender™ combo (A-Type speakers)
    EXPORT .WAV IR'S
    Make your own high quality impulse response collection for personal use that is compatible with all modelers that support .wav format IR's. Choose the correct format that suits your modeler and use minimum phase transform to ensure that you can also mix these IR's with most other IR's.
    IMPEDANCE + CUT
    Use the impedance and cut section to shape your sound in a natural way. 100% impedance settings perfectly simulate a realistic tube amp impedance which adds a pleasant tube amp color for certain use cases like using preamp pedals or certain modelers. Use the cut functions to limit the range of your cabinet simulation.

    Great video! Bought the full license and can’t wait to start making my own IR’s. One question, how is this video setup? Are you running from Kemper to DAW?

    this is so amazing, but i'm having trouble using the Mikko demo with my kemper :S how do you set it up correctly? I'm using a Scarlett 6i6

      I also have a Scarlett interface at home. Bypass the cabinet in Kemper and use MIKKO in Standalone mode with ASIO for Focusrite. (Audio settings) Then just tell MIKKO which input you plugged your Kemper into. And you should be set. :)

    looks fantastic! will we be able to import our own IR's for tweeking into MIKKO?

    • @mlsoundlab
      @mlsoundlab  5 років тому

      MIKKO requires us to systematically shoot thousands and thousands of IR's of these cabs so a single IR will not have this sort of flexibility.

      It really depends on the profile or preset you're using. Both can pull it off as I've demoed with the ML Toosie+ Amp Pack. I had an original IIC+ from 1984 for quite some time.

    I have the Mikko demo and think when the budget allows, I'll be purchasing a license. It's awesome on all the amp sims I have but I don't have a Kemper in the studio. I still have an Eleven Rack and think there might be a way to use the stand-alone Mikko with Jack Pilot on an iMac. Then use the export function to save the IR.

      This all can easily be done within the DAW anyway. Just kill the cab in the 11R. Thanks for the video!

    Sounds great! If i use the Mikko-tweaked cab to include in a merged profile that i sell. Would that be okay?

    • @mlsoundlab
      @mlsoundlab  5 років тому +1

      Hey - the EULA of MIKKO goes more in-depth regarding this question. The short answer would be that you can't sell anything that includes MIKKO IR's as you license those IR's just like purchasing an IR collection. MIKKO is essentially an insanely huge IR collection.

    Hi mikko how do I setup my Kemper stage with my mikko cabs ?

    • @mlsoundlab
      @mlsoundlab  5 років тому +2

      Hey! I haven't tried a Kemper stage yet but I would assume tge same way as the Kemper. USB drive with the Cab Maker converted IR's into the unit and choose "import". Let me know how this works out. :)

    I’m sorry man there is no Kemper choice in the mikko app. Can you tell me how to connect to the kemper please?

  • @rockyowitz
    @rockyowitz 5 років тому

    I'm really liking the sounds I'm getting, but something I'm running into is that I can only choose between 48000 and 96000. Since Kemper requires 44100, I'm unable to send my custom impulses through cab maker. Is there an update I'm missing that fixes this?
    EDIT: Nevermind, it was an update that I somehow missed. Time to get to exporting!

      This has been fixed in an update! If you haven't received the update email - please re-download Mikko. :)
