I love the results, and the speed of curing is spectacular. I recently learned that there is going to be a mandatory safety training for those who use diisocyanate products professionally, starting August 24th, 2023. PU materials are based on diisocyanates, which can cause dermal and respiratory allergies. I don't know if such regulation exists in the US, but it does in the UK and EU.
Love what you did with this new stuff! 😍 As I said to Claire over on Patreon: PU resin is a proper cardio workout with how quick you have to mix and pour!
Awesome video Wendy. Absolutely stunningly Beautiful items. Thank you so very kindly for sharing your wonderful talent and videos with us all ❤ Take great care and keep creating and smiling ❤
Do be careful with the P.U. resins. They can overheat and damage the molds very easily. I've ruined quite a few. I'm not even sure what I did wrong, so it might have just been the ambient humidity.
Hi Wendy! I love PU resin and yes there is clear PU resin but it is a 4 hour cure PU, I don’t know why and I think the black one is 1 hour but I could be wrong (Amazing Casting brand). Make sure you don’t put acrylic paint it is, I did it once and it bubbled and flash cured! It’s very sensitive to moisture
Interesting stuff. When I first started using resin years ago, it was clear but the hardener was measured in drops...so many drops per ounce of resin. It was mostly used in the boat building industry. The resin was brushed onto the fiberglass cloth that was stretched over a form or laid over the hull of the boat or whatever it was that you were constructing and left to cure. It could be used in molds as well to cast items in. It cured clear and you could add color to it while you were mixing. Was interesting stuff...quite stinky. It's still available today but not used a lot in hobby casting
Hi Peggy 😀😀 sounds like you were a little ahead of me 😂😂 some companies only sell their products for industry still. And I expect Total boat brand got their name from that 😀😀😀 but I’m happy people saw the potential for art and this craft has grown. Thank you for your comment Peggy 💜💜💜
Hi Wendy great video 😍 thanks for showing us different ways to add colour, you should fill your signature with coloured resin or uv coloured that way it will be flat and you can see it more, thanks for sharing ❤ ❤ xxx
This is very cool! I have never heard of this type of resin. However it gets a thumbs up from me.👍I like the fact that it is bubble free, fast setting and white. I will never give up using clear resin but I definitely see a place for this new option.
Wendy What a fantastic idea and piece. I see so much potential for jewelry with this resin. I am not a huge fan of this brand of resin but I will definitely purchase this epoxy resin. I’d like to compare this epoxy resin to ResinCrete. Neither of which I’ve tried yet. You are so talented, Wendy and I’ve been with you since day one - you are doing a fantastic job overall with your channel. You & Steve McDonald Arts & Crafts are my favorite. Your word is nicer than Steve’s but Steve makes me laugh out loud and he is a really good teacher of technique. Thank you, Wendy
Thank you so much Emerdoodle 😀😀😀 this resin isn’t epoxy it’s polyurethane 😳 just to let you know 😀. I’ve just tried resincrete and my video on that is on Tuesday 😀😀 they are very different 😀💜
That's so cool Wendy. I'm not so sure about the result of the coloured ones, maybe it's just not showing up well on camera but the mica coloured inlay worked like a dream.
I've never used pu resin but I think I would have been super stressed out with how little time there was to pour! Either way, your results are great! and the small tray.. gorgeous !
This was fascinating! Thank you for showing the time lapses....it was awesome to watch it work! While I'm not impressed with it having to be just white or lightly pigmented, I really did love the way it picked up the mica powder directly from the mold/inlay. I will definitely need to give that a try! Thank you so much for bringing us something new and challenging!
Thank you so much Charlene 😀😀 I can imagine all kinds of bright colours with white behind it 😀😀 yes it definitely liked the mica 😀 💜 I’m glad you found it interesting 👍💜
I was thinking the same thing, the colours added to the resin just did nothing for me, but the tray now that was WOW better if you could make it black as that does show up the mica powders better. I wonder if they will sell it in Australia, will have to check with my supplier and see if they have heard of it. 😊
Awesome! cant wait to get my hands on some of this resin. I saw some made by other companies at last years makers central but have never gone out of my way to get some, great to see Let's Resin will have some now. Thank you for another great video Wendy 😊
I much prefer pu resin, in fact I haven’t bought any epoxy since Christmas and I will probably stick with this stuff. Your makes are stunning Wendy, really gorgeous 💕
I believe you can also use alcohol inks to color this resin. Alumilite amazing resin has this same type of quick cure resin. It was the first I used many years ago. I was able to use alcohol inks in it n had no issues.
Well as chameleon and colour shifting powder works best with black 🤔🤔🤔 they might not work as well. But only trying them out would see and I will have to do more testing 😀😀💜👍
I really love the vibrancy of the colours on the trinket tray, especially against the white and the inlay has a beautiful pattern. Did you top it with clear resin or leave as is? 😊 xx

Wow! This stuff is amazing! Love all your experiments! I’d like to see if you applied mica to the druzy how it would look. Can’t wait till your next video!
Those are all really cool! It was fun to watch the time lapse to watch them develop. It looks like the best way to go if you want color is to use mica powder on the mold, unless you only want a hint of color. The PU resin seems to be pretty popular. I've seen a couple other people use it, too, including Claire.
Great work Wendy!!! I’m Very excited for when this gets released in uk. I’ve only really ever used PU for things like phone stands and supports for moulds so can’t wait to see what else can be done with it
With the inlays? Absolutely awesome. Question - do you need to add a top coat after the decals are added to the keychains? Just curious how you do it. Thanks!

Hi again!. :) I want to ask you if you have done it. if not, pls do it. I have been thinking about how to do it. Have you ever done making a big resin butterfly painting / any shape of an object painting, for example, on glass or canvas without wire (for outline), and without silicone mould ? Resin is within butterfly shape, it is like a painting on the canvas / glass. Can you explain it or show us it? that would be so so nice.
No. I have never even heard of it. Hummmm it's crazy how it turns white. Watched CCC and was wondering if you could color it. So thanks! now I know, we can color it with powder and it picked up color like a dream. I think the druzy came out nice it was sparkly. Yes, it was fun watching it cure. SCIENCE 🤯I'd love to order some inlays but even you, agreed [on one of the lives] that p&s could maybe even more than a small order 😒. So thanks again for showing us so many different ways to make them. So you think you can use paste, paint or alcohol ink? Have a great ______. Once we all figure out how to get the glitter to show up, I'm looking forward to making white sparkly snowflake ornaments for Christmas! 😁

I’ve heard that humidity does effect it. Any water at all. Thank you so much Naudia for letting me know about your experience 😀💜👍
That tray is stunning. Seems the best use of the poly resin in using it for the inlay effect.
Thank you Janet 😀😀💜👍
Wonder if they will bring out some dyes to go with it ? Brilliant work ❤
It would be great if they do 😀😀 fingers crossed 😀💜👍
Beautiful creations, something worth learning, thank you so much for your guidance, Ma'am
Thank you so much Artistresin 😀😀💜👍
Omg Wendy these are amazing love the stickers you added also and the tray wow wow wow ❤❤❤❤❤

I just got some of this resin. I made a trinket tray. I stamped leaf designs on my mold before I poured, and the ink transferred beautifully.
Oh that’s fantastic Judy 😀😀👏👏👏 thank you for sharing 😀💜👍

It’s great fun too 😀😀💜
Where did you get the silicone inlay?
I make and sell them on my website 😀😀 I’ll link it for you 😀💜👍

Hope this helps 👍💜
Did you try it with alcohol inks yet? Curious if it gave it more color 😊
No but I think Claire has 😀😀💜
I watched a lot of resin artists use this, it works too quickly for me. It sets white and I like clear casting better.
I completely understand what you mean. It’s not for everyone 😀😀 but it’s good to have options 😀💜👍
That's cool 😎 Do they not make a clear 1?
Not at the moment no. This pu resin from let’s resin was only released last Thursday so it’s very new.
Perhaps in time they will 🤷♀️😀💜👍
❤❤❤
😀😀💜
Wendy you're such a beautiful woman!
Aww thank you Christina 🤭😀🤭💜
