Excellent video. I miss my convention going days. I've been to the 25th DOTD anniversary at the Monroeville mall, but haven't visited any of the other filming locations. Hopefully, these living dead weekends keep going, so I can take my boys out for a 5 hour trip to Pittsburgh one day.
At 7:08, there we are! Boris and I had a blast that day filming our coverage of the event. Awesome video! Ghoul World Order approves! Buzz Killer, Talking Zombie From Western Pennsylvania
Romero was a hero of mine, the first horror film I ever saw was Night of the Living Dead as a 8 year old because of my older brother. Day of the Dead came out on my 18th birthday.👍😎
I would have liked to have been in that mall to hear the fireworks. It always sounds like a war zone around here on the 4th, and I'm sure the ambience would have been a great mood enhancer. Maybe start blasting "Cause I'm a Man" from the soundtrack. And what's up with Miguel Nunez refusing to age? It's great to see that he's a cool dude in person.
I figured he was getting asked about Return of the Living Dead all weekend so I tried to bring up something different. Glad you checked out the video dude!
This was so cool, Rob! Thank you very much for sharing this, really love this excellent made video. I'm gonna share this one on Fb, to a friend, who also releases videos on UA-cam for a long time (blu-ray/dvd reviews), plus George A. Romero is his favorite director (his favorite movies are ''Day of the Dead, ''Dawn of the Dead'', ''The Return of the Living Dead'' and ''Cannibal Holocaust''). The name is Mrparka on UA-cam, check him out.
Appreciate the support Pete! Glad you enjoyed the vlog. There’s tons of other youtubers that make it look easy. It’s not. I gained a ton of respect after throwing this together. I’ll check out your buddies channel for sure!
@@therobw Do you ever go to Mad Monster Carolina in Concord, NC? What about other conventions on the east coast like Monster Mania or Chiller? Let me know if you ever want to come to Days of the Dead Las Vegas.😀
@@scottarooni I went to Mad Monster a few years ago when Romero was there. Haven’t been to those other cons you mentioned but I’d be totally willing to travel again sometime soon to one. I’ll keep you posted on that Scott!
@@therobw Yeah, man definitely keep me posted! I travel all over the country attending horror conventions. So far this year, I've done Days of the Dead Las Vegas, Houston Horror Film Festival, Mad Monster Arizona and Kansas City Crypticon. Up next for me are Motor City Nightmares (Detroit) and Flashback Weekend (Chicago). It would be cool to meet you in person if we happen to be at a convention together. By the way, I live in Las Vegas, so definitely let me know if you ever wanna hang in Vegas!
@@scottarooni dude I’m so jealous you get to take all those trips this year. Do you have an email or something I can keep in touch with in case I make some moves?

Thanks for watching! I was bummed I wasn’t able to make it to the convention this year but I’ll for sure be there in 2024!

Personal hero of mine as well. It was an honor celebrating him this past weekend. Thanks for being cool Jim!
@@therobw Thanks for the entertainment bro!!👍
miguel was awesome AF in tour of duty TV series, I forgot he was in that until i watched it more recently.
Thanks for the video.. I hope I visit this iconic Monroeville mall soon . 🤘💀🤘
I love that movie Night Of The Living Dead. That's so neat that you're at the sight of that movie. 🙂👍
If the price was right 👍 that mall would be the number 1 destination. Everybody orders stuff online because it's cheaper.
