Hi when you draw from a holster you never ever place your finger in the trigger guard. You index your trigger finger along the frame. Finger only goes on the trigger when you are on target. so if you cover the trigger and guard its better you dont want to cover magazine ejector.

Nice video but the advice of leaving part of the trigger guard open to reach into to draw the weapon is a serious safety issue. The trigger guard should be fully enclosed and your trigger finger belongs outside of the trigger guard until you are ready to actually fire the weapon. I admire Deeny's work but this is bad advice.

Liz, you are right on.👍 The Fanice is easier to use and apply to leather.
I highly recommend this product to all leather crafters out there.😃

Very good video but please do away with the chatter from the supporting cast. Denny is a expert leather worker. Have learned much from his previous videos.

I would like to see a rein rounder video too. I picked up a nice one at an antique store, but I'm not sure how to prepare leather for use in it. It didn't occur to me to use it for braiding, I was thinking more like tote handles, etc. Obviously, you pull the leather you want round through the round holes...but there must be some nuance to it.

You might move that overhead camera toward the table center and angle it back rather than straight down. That way presenters don't have to stretch out their arms when working, and their heads won't obscure the view.

I can’t believe you are promoting putting a finger in the trigger guard to get a pistol out of the holster!

Why are the slots cut so that the belt has to go through them at an angle? Denny's finished holster wasn't that way. I've seen holsters done both ways, but I don't understand why. The slots have to be much longer when made like the one in the video.

Typical holsters are set to a 15-20 degree cant forward to accommodate a draw. Also called the FBI cant.

@@robscroggins4685 Thanks, but I know why the gun is held at an angle. Why are the belt slots not perpendicular to the wearer's belt?

@@no-page It allows the holster to sit at the appropriate cant to hold the gun. I do it on all of my holsters
