Nice show guys…oh boy, the rocket train idea sounds fun. Back when I was in 8th grade I made a rocket car out of a 1/25 scale model. My brother and I lit that Estes engine in the rocket car in the basement of our house. It went the length of the basement, hit the concrete wall and exploded! We then had a flying model rocket engine shooting around the basement and we hit the dirt. It finally landed in the dirty clothes hamper and started the clothes on fire. We got the fire out before Dad got downstairs. Learned a lot that day….so if you need any help on a rocket train, I’m your man!
Great story, made my morning! I used to make surface-to-air missiles out of Garcia y Vega cigar tubes and Estes model rocket engines. The Estes engines were a perfect fit in the plastic tubes and with some black powder in the nose they made a VERY satisfying BANG on the way down. Need less to say I didn't do this indoors!
@@wayneantoniazzi2706 Good idea for the tube. I used the tube that held the engines used to come in…3 to a pack. Add a stabilizer fin on top of the ‘67 bubble top Impala and I was good to go. We lit it inside because it was raining! LOL!
Another fun show gents! And isn't it amazing how those 1940s diesel paint schemes work so well on modern diesel units? The graphic designers at EMD/GM in those days really knew their stuff, maybe even better than they themselves thought they did. Those paint schemes turned out to be timeless! Oh, before I forget to mention this, but it looks like the prime mover on Pennsy 2204 needs some new injectors, it's smoking WAY too much! 🤣 Thanks for posting, time spent at Hennings is always time well spent! PS: Hey! I just noticed! You've got Eugene the Geep on this weeks masthead picture! Nice! 🤩
