  • Hi guys! My name is Jasmine (Jas).
I was made redundant 2.5 months ago. These are clips of my life while I am unemployed and looking for work. I hope that others may find comfort in these clips, knowing that there are others going through the same thing.
I was not eligible for redundancy pay here in Australia. Despite this, I have been able to live somewhat comfortably while unemployed, while others struggle to make ends meet. My experience does NOT represent the general experience. I wish you luck in your job hunting.
    MicroDot Notebook: www.nanamipaper.com/products/...
The Hobonichi leather cover was bought from the physical store in Japan. I haven't been able to find it online.

I got laid off during the end of Feb as well and the only ‘response’ I’ve gotten from my applications is getting automatically signed up for a company’s customer newsletter. 🙃 Hope you’re having better luck than me!

NIcely done. I started my first commonplace book two weeks ago and I'm addicted. Yours is the best and most concise description I've come across.

I got fired last March and I’ve kinda been unemployed ever since. I’ve tried two different jobs in new areas and turned out it wasn’t for me. But, I just did an interview today and I’m pretty sure I got the job so im excited that I don’t have to worry if I’ll have enough to pay my phone bill and other small bills
I never had a hard time finding new jobs. I’d find a job id like and I’d get hired on the spot, but nowadays, its hard to find one. I dont know what it is, but people typically don’t give response for applications or I’d get rejected and its been hard. I hope you take care of yourself and find a job that suits you soon!

The color coding system is brilliant, why wouldn't I think of that! It would be useful even for my diaries where I had difficulties finding entries. Going to start a commonplace book too as there are a lot of info I want to save but is scattered everywhere

So neat and lovely! I keep thinking I’d like a commonplace notebook, but I have so many journals at the moment that I don’t know if I need another 😅. I’ve also read The Master and Margarita this year and loved it! Im currently rereading, annotating and researching ❤

I will try this and see how I go. I have so many interests that I may need to use different books for different subjects! Waving from over the ditch.

Hi Jas! The algorithm brought me to your video-and I really liked it! I rly enjoyed your tidy approach to commonplacing. I wanted to ask (and sorry if you mentioned this and I missed it) if you had a plan for archiving your commonplace book when you’ve filled it. Also, do you think you’ll use another of the same type of notebook/cover in the future?

Girl it's like you are inside my brain! Tried bujo, didn't work, I cannot ever find anything in there, it just bothers me to have a planner and long taking notes like I do together... So I was starting to separate the system, I have a planner similar to the hobonichi with the weekly timeline layout and it works for planning, and a stalogy as what you call a common place notebook, but I will incorporate the color coding, and the space for notes at the side, is perfect for me, thanks for sharing it!!!

I clicked on this video because of the “unemployed” and then the common place notebook was the bonus of the video. I just finished my masters degree, and now have to start looking for work. As an autist, this is quite a change to my routine and trying to even get up the nerve to write a CV/Resumé, let alone a cover letter sends me almost into a panic.
I needed to find another use for my functional planner, since I am no longer tracking tasks day to day or week to week. However, I do not like the dated daily pages for this, hmmm how would one use a dated daily page for common place notebooks?
Oh and thanks for adding to my TBR stack. I read on a Kindle, I miss physical books though, but I have been sucked into this Kindle Reading Challenge gamification.
