You probably already know this BUT *Guide to potty-training dogs:* - Make sure to give them many chances to go out the first couple weeks - GIve them little treats and pet them lots every time they go outside for the first month or so - DO NOT scold them excessively for going inside, it does nothing - Do all these things and you'll have a potty-trained dog for the rest of it's life!
Also, hang a little bell right next to the door and teach them to ring it when they want to go out. That way, you'll always hear when they need to go out :) When my pup finally learned that, it prevented a lot of accidents! Poor little guy had such an urgency to go that if I didn't hear him, he would pee right on the doormat haha.
I also found, if you are at home or a place you won't get in trouble...when the pup goes to the bathroom, especially #2, leave some of it out side. As in don't pick all of it up, until the next time you go out. It shows the pup that outside is where you go because they can still see/smell it. A lot of times this not so great cycle happens inside b/c carpet or other material holds on to scents. This worked for my dog and she was potty trained by the time she was only 4months.
I think that if you have kids, they will be in very good hands. You are amazing mothers (I hope to see your wedding and future good thing happening) She is adorable.
Be careful giving Wilma a toy made for humans because some stuffing and materials are harmful to dogs, usually you are meant to only give them puppy toys. Plus she could also swallow the plastic eyes. But she is adorable!!!!!!!
Definitely be careful when putting stuffed toys in with her, if she rips one and gets into the stuffing it can potentially harm her. Be sure to get toys specifically made for dogs so they can stand up to the chewing and won't make her sick :) Very precious pup, congratz on the new addition to the family.
Normally when Rose is cuddling/hugging something or someone I'm like "I want a hug too!"...but Wilma is soooo adorable and cute that, not only does it hurt my chest for some reason...but also...I am sorry to say this...I WANT TO CUDDLE WILMA INSTEAD!

I'm sure you know this but if she's scared, DO NOT HUG HER OR SAY THINGS LIKE "IT'LL BE ALRIGHT." Just act like nothing is happening. Because the dog doesnt understand the words you say, but if you react to something like a loud noise she knows. So she'll only get more scared. (Puppies look at their mums to see if a situation is dangerous; if the mum is scared or nervous it's probably dangerous. If their mum doesnt react; it's no big deal) Just completely ignore the loud noise or the things they are scared of. After a while, they'll think it's nothing to be scared of.
This is the reason our dogs arent afraid of firework and stuff. Trying to 'calm them down' and stuff does the opposite effect. And you wouldnt want to make your dogs more scared, right?
What a beautiful baby! Absolutely adorable! I had a Westie for 14 years, and he was the best dog. Now I have a Maltipoo and I got her as a puppy like Wilma. I even saved her baby teeth LOL. Congratulations mommies!

If I may make a suggestion, you shouldn't put the puppy training pads all over the floor, especially under the water & food bowls. The training pads have a smell that signals the puppies to pee or poop on them, so the pad should be away from her water & food. Having them together is very confusing for dogs, because they never pee or poop where they eat or drink. It's probably best to just put newspaper on the floor, and only have one training pad so that she can learn that she should go to her pad. This will help her to quickly learn how to use her pad, which will help you in the future if you want her to be in indoor dog who is pad trained. The two of you make adorable mothers. I wish you the very best of luck with your darling new puppy!

Sure they didn't adopt her from a shelter or anything, but does that mean they are bad people? Absolutely not. They are providing a loving, safe home to a puppy who will have a great life and will enhance their lives too. I've been watching their videos for years and know that they treat Flynn as if he were their son, they're gonna treat Wilma the same. My mom is a dog trainer. Once the babby has settled in alright and shes a little bit older she will most likely start biting. She will get more mouth orientated and become confident in biting you (not aggressively) You will need to train her not to bite. So when she gets a bit too powerful with her bites put one thumb in her mouth on her bottom jaw and your index finger outside on her bottom jaw. a bit like a clamp. squeeze quite hard until she's either squealing or really trying to spit your finger out. I know it sounds mean but trust me. it is probably the best way to get a dog to stop biting. it will take some time but if she doesn't learn that she's not allowed to bite then she could become aggressive in the future. I know you love her and would never want to hurt her but it's a good technique. And the pain goes as soon as you let go of her jaw :)

What I did when I got my puppy a few years back (a maltese shih tzu with bad hips) who had never been seperated from her brother, what get a hot water bottle and wrap it in this big ugg boots I had that had kinda similar shaggy fur. She slept on it for her first year, and shes almost 5 now and still plays with the boots :)
So so so so so so so so cuuuuuute!!!!! My friends and I are actually going to a dog beach on Sunday... probably hungover bc of Sat night but like, still ahhhh dogs are so cute!! And your lil' polar bear is no exception :+)
