@@omi_shad Yes but in general... We consider anyone below 16 a Kid / Chlld... There is no strict definition when someone is considered an Adult... At least not legally... Bear in mind, Most Teenagers these days are often referred to as "Young Adults" ... Its not a Legal Term, but has been adopted by many civil servants... So form the age of 13 you could be classed as a "Young Adult" - In general, Most of us though even despite using such phrases still treat anyone below the age of 16 as a "child" - And Age of Consent does also consider anyone below the age of 16 a Child... Between 16 and 18... No, They class you as a Teenager or Young Adult... Stuff and nonsense of course... But I was just stating how most generally view things... Not any legal Status! Colloquial Views (Majority Opinion) is what I was quoting... Most people view anyone below 16 a Child... ... Much like the Majority of Religious folks believe in a Deity - Just because I dont believe in a Deity does not mean I have a right to dismiss their popular viewpoint! Guess I've already commented it somewhere, but do parents even have any say in who the school lets near their children? Because if I had a child and something like that happened, I'd be following that principal around, ringing a bell and yelling 'shame'. P.S. I've heard college students being referred to as kids, not sure what's the problem here.
I think the school invited Eric. NOT COLEEN! But I also think that when she showed up with him they didn't want to be rude, so they allowed her in. Then when the kids made it public the school was kind of forced to buckle down on it. Who knows the ramifications if the school was to say, "Oops! We messed up!" I will say however, it was for ERIC! They invited Eric. Any "normal" person would have let him have his dues. Not go up on stage and steal the spotlight!
I would be livid if my kid came home and told me she was in their school! Schools have safety measures for a reason, hell you have to pass a background check before you can even pass the office doors. So this school just allows anyone in it? 😊
Ooooh sorry to disappoint but MyHeritage and all of those DNA services have a lot of issues and are not really that close to the truth :( So basically they can have 99,9% accuracy, which means that if you examine a million people, you will get a thousand mistakes... And that's a lot. Also a lot of people from Europe are actually genetically similar. There isn't really e.g. a "spanish gene" you can isolate and examine... Also their data collecting is based on people's declarations,.so people who claim to know their ancestry. And that can be way more tricky than we think, especially when it comes to Europe for example. I know you were excited to get sponsored by them but I'm not sure if it's fair to advise people to spend money on it.
Yeah, and unfortunately for Americans, even if the service claims to "not give info out", I would NOT trust them on that for health insurance reasons. Especially as healthcare is about to get way worse, and privacy regulations are going to get stripped. There's a risk of those companies telling healthcare providers and boom, now you're paying even more ridiculous amounts because this test claimed you're at risk for something you might not have. (also yes, technically knowing if you're at risk is good, but Americans have to do a cost/benefit analysis and unfortunately, higher healthcare costs mean not paying rent or getting food)
4:26- Sepharadic jews are jews who lived in Spain and Portugal for generations, but were ultimately expelled from these countries in 1492. many have moved to Balkan countries afterwards, Western and Central Europe, but mostly to North Africa and settled in Morocco, Algeria, Libya and Tunisia.
As someone who works in a school as a TA, children's safeguarding is our number 1 priority. We must foster an atmosphere of safety and peace, so that the children can have a break from anything that may be going on outside of school. We must build relationships with the children and young people in our care, so that they feel comfortable to come to us if they're having ANY problems. If this school is shutting down genuine questions or concerns about an adult that is on school property, that is a BIG no no, they should be investigated. It will make the children and young people feel like they can't question adult's behaviour, that they're not listened to or heard, that their feelings aren't valid and important etc. It's really concerning. I can't believe in this day and age, a school would have such blatant disregard for their children's safety and comfort. It really upsets me. I'm thankful (in this case) that these young people had the outlet of Reddit so that they could express themselves. The AMOUNT of times someone has put their story on Reddit and only then found out that they're actually being abused/what's happening isn't right, is staggering. Thank you for making a video on this. I hope you have a quiet week with no motorbikes disturbing your peace. Big love from Manchester UK xXx
this sounds like a violation of first amendment rights. school has no control over what you say outside of school unless you are cyberbullying or doing someone illegal. a public school is a government-funded place (public property), not a business. the students are not under contract to not talk about their school
Regarding the first amendment: Yeah, if the kid gets punished by the school for speaking out against Colleen, that's a 1A violation. Those do happen in America, despite our rights and protections being so explicitly outlined by the constitution. Because it's a public school, they CAN be sued for a 1A violation. The principal, school board, and teachers are government employees, and as such, they are beholden to the constitution and all its amendments. A different student elsewhere, during the pandemic, made social media posts about having Covid after a school trip. When the school sent cops to her house to threaten her into deleting the posts or face arrest, she and her parents sued. They won. There's now precedent, at least somewhere within the US's federal borders, that applies the first amendment to social media posts made by underage students. If the student in this post is smart, they'll put the school admin in their place before it even has to get into lawsuit territory. If the school admin are smart (evidence suggests otherwise), they'll back down before the student even has to lay bare their legal case.
The kid isn’t getting punished for breaking any sort of rule-though the administration will absolutely come up with one to justify it-they’re being punished for making the school and administration bad. This is pretty common in US schools.
How are the parents not hitting the roof? If that was my kid I would have to be dragged screaming out of the principal's office and my parents would've gone to war the second I showed them the rolling stones article. Seriously where are the adults? edit to add: American public schools generally don't have rules around how you represent the school and have no uniforms. Many have rules that you can't use your phone (like taking pictures) during class but if the kids were encouraged to take photos with her they have no grounds to punish this student and the first amendment protects their right to voice their opinions like this online. If they punished my kid I'd threaten to sue
The school board only seem to want to listen to parents if it means taking out history books, books that challenge or question authority, or books relating to the gays or trans people. They’ll do nothing about bullying, racism, or the actual safety of the child.
"Why do I keep calling high school students kids? Because they're kids." YEAH, MOST high school students are under 18. They're kids, like you said!! People are weird, man
The school’s administrators are questionable in my opinion. I don’t care what her credentials or qualifications are there are plenty of people that can give motivational speeches that haven’t been accused of being inappropriate with children. Your My Heritage results were fascinating. I’m going to get my done now.
If they think colleens behaviour was acceptable, i would be questioning what kind of behaviour they find appropriate and acceptable from their teachers 😳 that is very worrying.
The school knows full well about colleen's controversy they made it quite clear they didnt want anyone bringing it up because that would be very damning to their reputation
i remember when we had guest presenters or speakers it was totally normal to post about how cool it was to see them. sometimes they even had hash tags to use for posts about it. the only reason this is different is because the response is negative. if the student was like "omg miranda sings was at my school!!" and the internet was like 'omg no way so cool!!!' then no one would be in trouble. but because the school fucked up and the internet is like 'ew' then the school is reprimanding the students who are speaking up?
If this school is this quick to circle the wagons around some random content creator to whom they owe no allegiance, imagine how they might react if someone on their payroll were to be accused of some form of misconduct or malfeasance!
The “b” in brackets is a common (and correct) edit when you are changing something in a quote. In this case the “b” was a capital, but using the capital in this context would be incorrect, so the writer brackets it to show it was in the original.
17:16 This is probably the case, as it is standard for most work places so I would see schools implementing the same policy. That being said, I would suggest the student lawyer up because with her allegations, true or false, it can be seen as putting the safety of the students in disregard until it is actually settled.
The phrase eat crayons came from the usmc it was an inter agency insult say from navy officers saying marines eat crayons and are dumb. How it made pop culture i do not know what movie or show did it. But it is american military in origin.
School executives can really be this dumb sometimes. Not dumb as in they didn't know about Colleen's issues; dumb as in they thought they could get away with inviting someone like Colleen to begin with. Years ago a school in Pennsylvania tried to introduce intelligent design curriculum into their biology courses. They got sued and the lawsuit basically confirmed that intelligent design is just creationism in a different wrapper, and thus violates the First Amendment if it's taught in a public school. During the proceedings, it was revealed that the school's *legal counsel* reviewed the curriculum and turned around and told the school "if you introduce this, you will sued and you will lose." So they knew, they were informed, and they went ahead and did it anyway because they were dumb enough to think they'd get away with it.
I think my concert about learning about finding my family heritage is to find out my girlfriend and I share a relative. Highly unlikely as she is from New Zealand, but her ancestors were Scottish and I know my ancestors were Irish.
I'm honestly just appalled that these kids are being forced into a position where they have to defend their own safety and comfort from the adults who are supposed to be ensuring it for them. And they're being threatened for it. I have no words. Just disgusting. I hope the sensible parents get together and fight for their children.
The b in burn being in brackets indicates that the letter was not originally capitalized. Probably part of a longer quote, or she could have just said "I'd burn all the ukuleles" and because of how they chose to quote her used brackets to indicate the change.
When she came back to youtube after being the most hated person on the internet and STILL made her content almost only about her children I think it was the most accurate description of her character. She knows and understands how much people (validly) hate her and still chooses to expose her kids to it.

Mizrahi Jews are Jews that stayed in the Middle East but immigrated to different places in the Middle East. Either way! Congrats! I high suggest trying some of the food, it’s what we are good at
It is incredibly strange for teachers and faculty to “ship” this chick so hard that they not only ignore the fact that they invited somebody with a clear and easily accessible history of, at least, inappropriate behavior with children but then punished a child for “leaking” that they did so. I don’t understand.

Dan Schneider also has allegations, he's still walking free.
under 18=kid. you're welcome.
I was 19 when I graduated from high school
Vangelina is from the UK... Here we consider anyone under 16 a Child or a Kid... Just an FYI
@Phoenix2312 16 is considered legal to consent to sex, 18 means your an adult.
Even if Legally it was deemed that Faith is false.
I was not quoting Law, I was Quoting Majority Viewpoint!
They're gonna get Diddly to talk to the school band next.

I think my parents would have flipped if someone who had sent sexually explicit material to children was allowed into my school
Me thinks the school administration doth protest too much, how suspicious.
Yeah, anyone who minimises what she did should not be in charge of children.
Ooooh sorry to disappoint but MyHeritage and all of those DNA services have a lot of issues and are not really that close to the truth :(
So basically they can have 99,9% accuracy, which means that if you examine a million people, you will get a thousand mistakes...
High school students are absolutely kids

✨️Manifesting some peace and quiet for Vangelina✨️
I honestly forgot she existed lol
I don't blame you tbh
lol same
"eating crayons" is a replacement term for the R-slur, in case anyone isn't aware
Colleen’s “Trying to strike a cord and it’s probably A Minor”….
*dies laughing*
what the hell?!? i would pull my kid from the school and go to every publication i could
No you wouldn't
@@ChrisFike2940Stop self reporting. No one was talking about you & you added nothing to the discussion.
"Why do I keep calling high school students kids? Because they're kids."
YEAH, MOST high school students are under 18.
The school failed in their Duty of Care to protect their pupils.
More people need to talk about this. These kids deserve better and for the school and Colleen to be named and shamed in the media.
For Engagement: They caught Joseph James DeAngelo (Golden State Killer) through a relative’s DNA cheek swab. Oops!
gossip on a rainy friday afternoon. life is good.
If they think colleens behaviour was acceptable, i would be questioning what kind of behaviour they find appropriate and acceptable from their teachers 😳 that is very worrying.
You’d think Colleen’s pr team would tell her going to a school is a horrible idea
Here I was thinking you referred to them as kids because they clearly aren't adults?! Did not realise anyone would question that
The “b” in brackets is a common (and correct) edit when you are changing something in a quote. In this case the “b” was a capital, but using the capital in this context would be incorrect, so the writer brackets it to show it was in the original.
sepharadic jewish meaning someone from your family tree was a jew from portugal, spain, italy or north africa
Pretty sure Ralph Wiggum also proclaimed that he eats crayons, though that might be a weird false memory.
I think it's become more mainstream from reddit. A lot of troops on there, current and vet. That's where I first started seeing it all the time, too.
Bill Cosby worked in hollywood, would they be stupid to not have him?
I think my concert about learning about finding my family heritage is to find out my girlfriend and I share a relative. Highly unlikely as she is from New Zealand, but her ancestors were Scottish and I know my ancestors were Irish.
I'm honestly just appalled that these kids are being forced into a position where they have to defend their own safety and comfort from the adults who are supposed to be ensuring it for them. And they're being threatened for it. I have no words. Just disgusting. I hope the sensible parents get together and fight for their children.
My mum has ripped into the school board for less. There's no way in hell she'd ever let me be punished for this, and no other parent should either.
Vangelina being a Snow White look alike, glaring at birds and telling them to "Shoosh" just gets me.
Hi - I’m an Adam McIntyre mucker - so thanks for the coverage
Manifesting peace and quiet for you, Queen
I like the change of scenery. It's nice to see UA-camrs get some sun lol
The b in burn being in brackets indicates that the letter was not originally capitalized. Probably part of a longer quote, or she could have just said "I'd burn all the ukuleles" and because of how they chose to quote her used brackets to indicate the change.
I love the outdoor vibes, street sounds and all😂
When she came back to youtube after being the most hated person on the internet and STILL made her content almost only about her children I think it was the most accurate description of her character. She knows and understands how much people (validly) hate her and still chooses to expose her kids to it.
Hey I DO WATCH all of your videos ❤
💖💖💖
Dude if I was going to get „chewed out“ for saying there’s a creepy person I don’t feel comfortable having in my school, 1) my parents would 100% be on my side and 2) time to find a better school what on earth?!?
There seems to be an assumption here that higher ups that work at schools are smart.
Hahahahaha. Best I can give you is 'human'.
A comment for Eva’s peace and quiet ✨
Thanks for the myheritage recommendation. I always wanted to get them but other brands were so expensive. Now i got a binch as holiday presents for what would be the price of like 2 or 3 from other brands.❤
The way genes work, it is possible to inherit more DNA from one side of the family than another. It's also possible to be a direct descendant of someone and not inherit any of their DNA!
Colleen should be kept away from interacting with anyone under 18.
The "eating crayons" is from an old running joke about US Marines. (Marines we love you, don't jump me) Though orange I hear is the best flavor. 😉
This thing happened in a Daria episode, isn't it?
Reality is stranger than fiction

Jesus a nearly 6 minute ad?
From what I understand about the school systems in CT, a friend of mine was a teacher there for years, I'm not surprised by any of this. From what she's told me the folks in charge there go ballistic if any of their decisions are questioned
I think a principal telling kids not to tell their parents what the faculty is doing should almost universally be an automatic shutdown of the school.
Sephardic is a specific group of Jews that immigrated to Spain and other countries a long time ago. Like Ashkenazi Jews are Jews who immigrated to Eastern Europe a very long time ago.
Bro when your phone rang I thought it was mind and I ran to it LMAO
