Jelly Is Bad Both of you are ignorant. You are acting like because of their sexual orientation, that they should appear differently? You can't have any physical markings of your sexuality, it just doesn't work like that. A gay man could look extremely different from a straight man, or he could look strikingly similar. Sexuality has no play in genetic makeup. And your stereotypes of how a gay man should dress, or how he should compose himself are false. They are human beings like the rest of us and have the freedom to look as they please, they don't have to live up to anybody's standards.
HPzombies You're being needlessly preachy. He simply asked why it's specifically called a Gay Men's Chorus, as opposed to just something like "The Men's Chorus of Los Angeles," and I replied with the obvious explanation that it's because all the men in the chorus are gay. I suppose it's technically the other way around, but in any case it was a statement of fact, no indication there of ignorance whatsoever. I will agree that the original person I replied to seems ignorant, but I'm sure he can't help it. And to top it off, I'm a bisexual man well aware of the various stereotypes involved in homosexuality. And even as someone who feels more or less free to act as I wish regardless of those stereotypes, it is obvious that there is a very real set of mannerisms and behaviors that is associated with homosexuality, and heterosexuality, for that matter.

LOVE this, especially the passion in the message as it's delivered...slightly too show choir-ish towards the end, which supplants the soulfulness somewhat. But fabulously original, that's for sure.
