I've collected records and DJ'd for decades and loved to find and play the hidden gems, hence the name. I must say, that was a fine selection to chose.
that toasty record is - both sides combined - defo an outstanding piece of electronic music. and one i still treasure after roughly two decades it's been sitting in my box. 'just let go' is a killer, too.
Petra & Co Just Let Go (Dub) was a massive tune for me. The first time I heard it was at 'Evil' Eddie Richard's Outer Limits night at Rayzells in Bletchley, Milton Keynes in '89, it absolutely blew me away 💊. For days possibly weeks afterwards I was raving (!) about it to anyone who would listen and asking if anyone knew what it was called. I'd be there saying 'yeah the main riff sort of keeps descending' 😂 Amazing tune (but only the Dub!).
Ap and Shack got me into dubstep, thank you🌻 That Toasty jam, my days…….That Petra joint was also very cool, sweet draw for Knowledge, cold like Antarctic 🌻That Radioactive mix is also well dope, oh ffs they are all golden man, big up☮️
I'm *properly* into hardcore, jungle, and DnB....raving and buying vinyl since their inception. 'Knowledge' is an absolutely fantastic track....and *way* better than the vaunted Terminator!
Some great stuff there. I'm not a big dubstep fan but toasty released some great tunes especially 'Knowledge'...Also I'll be playing the Petra&Co tune when I get the chance to play a rave set out live.
That Petra & Co tune is crazy. Too bad it was the vocal version that made it into the Belgian charts which ruined the track. She used to work in the local H&M if I recall correctly.
I think it was big on the mid-Atlantic club scene as well. Heard the dub on the radio on a station that normally played hiphop and rnb during a holiday mix session in the late 90's.
he's so wholesome I could see him presenting kids tv. Also made some dope music and nice taste on display here
he‘s like the favourite middle school teacher you never had
I love this guy so much. Always such a pleasure to hear him talk music.
"Circling" by Appleblim & Peverelist is so good it honestly makes *all* other dubstep pale by comparison.
that Petra & Co. dub is the bombbbbb blew me away when I found it (working in a record shop)
Finally, a connoisseur who gives the real props to Knowledge 😊 Blew my mind even more than Terminator.
Hell yeah ! big up Appleblim. Skull Disco and Apple Pips two of the best labels around!
A true music lover, a walking treasure trove of musical knowledge, and a super enthusiastic and genuine bloke to boot 🤘
Appleblim, what a legend. His Dubstep Allstars is one of the great mix CDs.
Petra & co was used in lots of 1990 dj sets in the uk. Such a good tune.
The first time i heard "just leg go" was on Pete Tongs Essential selection. "I still love that track.❤
These are deadly cuts, especially that Toasty track… thank you!
Toasty b-side is marvellous 🔥
Such an interesting selection and presented so nicely and with so much insight and expertise - hats off to Appleblim!
Love EBTV. But the B-Sides series just slay me every time. Phenomenal episode ❤
Appleblim's RA podcast was instrumental in defining my taste in electronic music

How can you 'rinse the A-Side' and never hear the b-side?
Excellent picks, as expected. Long time Will Powers fan, and yea bit of a weapon those self help disco things. They're so well done.
that toasty record is - both sides combined - defo an outstanding piece of electronic music. and one i still treasure after roughly two decades it's been sitting in my box.

Love the zip-tie on the Ortofon! Def going to use that on my broken backup. 👍🏾
Lovely varied choices, this is what I want to hear from a b-sides selection, thanks Appleblim!
That deeply armed track was excellent.P.S D.D Appleblim's voice is exact for golfer Justin Rose ,
You know Zenas! Inspirational club 🙏
True Don, super amazing selection

Amazing producer and a top fella all round.

Wow! Nice to see my mate Damian (Toasty) on here :)
What a lovely person and selection of music ❤❤
In Belgium (where Petra & co originated) the record was considered too cheesy.
great selections
I’m completely felt in love with this sound! In my videos I put always such a great effort to choose the best soundtrack!!!❤🎉
legend !!
..love the zipper on the ortofon 🫶..strong music 🖤 🖤 🤍
Paul Okenfold played that Petra and Co tune on his Essential Mix me thinks
Radioactive Man ❤
Amazing.. I've got that toasty record 🙌
That Petra & Co tune is crazy. Too bad it was the vocal version that made it into the Belgian charts which ruined the track. She used to work in the local H&M if I recall correctly.
I remember it from Paul Oakenfold Journey by DJs mix tape, what a tune 👊🏻
Def one of my fav b-sides
I think it was big on the mid-Atlantic club scene as well. Heard the dub on the radio on a station that normally played hiphop and rnb during a holiday mix session in the late 90's.
Nice

@devonshovel230 agreed. Well, more lazy really.
Still a boring selection
