Use mine on my KRG X-Ray stock with a Vudoo Receiver fitted with a KUKRI Contour Bartlein barrel. Absolutely love this bi-pod ,they are virtually indestructible.
I know there are options to attach a small rail section to the sling stud. Accu-tac has one and I am sure there are others as well. I have not personally used one, so not sure how stable / durable they are.

How can I mount this to a rifle which only has sling mounts

My Accu-Tac is setup with a picatinny rail that attaches to a sling stud. Trust me, it mounts super tight and I have never had it come loose.
