Very refreshing to see a demo of this which isn't made by someone who was born 6 months ago, and all they know is how to make any synth they put their hands on sound like "Disco, disco duck..." Thx for posting this INTELLIGENT review. Again, very refreshing.
It's not "acting" in this case, it's "announcing", as on the radio. ; - ) I speak very clearly when describing technology, because the details are important!
To me it just looks and sounds like another plastic toy. Fun to play first but then getting bored with it and sold over eBay. Same could be said about the Electribes, but those can be dived into deep, exploiting every feature and glitch, producing incredible tunes. Something I hardly see possible with those Volcas. Maybe I'm just disappointed because I was expecting a combined EMX + ESX to come with tons of additional synth and fx capabilites. For the Analog part: Again rather disappointing like the Tempest. Those that that want it should get a xoxbox or similar. Time will tell if I'm wrong.
We'd all like to see a new Electribe 3! But these Volcas are also a great addition to that proud family linage, and they work great when MIDI'd to Electribes or other machines. ( See my next videos. ) There is a LOT to discover sound wise as well - the analog circuitry can produce interesting and unexpected tones ( make sure to record them while they are there! ) and the "Active Step" and "Step Jump" are features that previous Electribes didn't have ( but future ones should include! ) Don't judge them hastily, or you might miss out! ; - )
VJ FRANZ K Don't forget they are Polyphonic. :) Do you think there will be a Electribe 3 in reasonable time? I doubt that :( For the next alleast 5 years we're stuck with these from the Korg side. Note that Korg took the Electribes from their shop after they announced the Volcas. I beliefe Korg sees Volcas = Electribe 3.

I must say, this was a good basic demo, thanks!

i will learn i will learn this amazing machine
How do you adjust the note for each step
Can I ask what else was in the box cable wise?
Hey do you know if you can connect this in the machine mk3 to add some acid basslines?
Funny and entertaining the way a DJ suppose to be!
serious bass!!
Batteries included nice, what is that wire in a bag is not important.
I tried to keep a serious face on throughout this entire video cuz this guy sounded like he'd kill me if I didn't.
your voice sounds a bit like you're acting
